3rd persons pov!
ashswag, the leader of the infamous invisible mafia...
back then when ashswag had first joined the server, he stayed with squiddo for the longest of time before the mafia came around.
they clicked together almost instantly and it really didnt take long before the duo they became inseparable on unstable.
late nights together while cuddling up on the couch every week, watching their favourite movies till both of them fell asleep.
one or atleast squiddo would've never guessed that he ran the most powerful mafia in the unstable universe...
not when he looked so at peace with her, let alone gentle while being genuinely happy whenever they met up back at her castle in her civilization after a long day...
after a few months his mafia rising up to power and becoming infamously known, he thought about how he had to move out eventually...
but oh how much he didnt wanted to leave...no more nightly cuddles? Weekly movies? Not even daily silly banters? It hurts to even think about it...
"it would've been more convenient to handle my businesses so i should move out..."
well that was what he mainly tells himself anyways.
he wouldnt admit it but he sure as hell cared about her more than anything in the world didnt want squiddo to be dragged into his mafia shenanigans...especially with his upcoming plans to take over the whole world..
he wanted to keep her safe...safe from possible harm that might came from his plans
he sure as hell was afraid of facing his feelings for her so moving out and running away from her than telling her about his feelings seemed easier...
however his love for her was undeniably there, theres no doubt. He came to accept it recently that he was indeed head over heels for the brunette.
The downside of moving out was that he just could leave like that? No he couldnt do that to her...
if he does tell her and squiddos reaction was what he was kind of expecting; being disgusted or upset about him running the strongest mafia in the whole of unstable
He wouldnt be able to handle the pain that he might receive if they stopped talking, or worse, become enemies.
And even in general, leaving her would be a pain, and that might even be his biggest regret if he ever had left..
then the day came, it didnt took long for the day to arrive...
oh how he had dreaded for that day to come...
to see what her reaction was when he had told her that he ran the most feared mafia on the SMP...
he had to tell her...of courses he had too...she was his everything after all..
he rather to hurt her now than later if things between them got more complicated later on than how it already was in their situation..
then that day he planned to tell her came along, and to say that he was nervous was an understatement. he was afraid that maybe she wouldn't talk to him anymore...what if she hated him..!? he could always kept it a secret...right..?
Of course he was having second thoughts now...
"ash? what's wrong?" squiddo asked, meeting him at the place he told her to go. she sat down next to him on the top of the tallest tower in her hidden civilisation, more commonly known as the builders.
He snapped out of his thoughts when the familiar voice was heard..
"oh hey squiddo" ashswag spoke nervously, squiddo was so confused on why her best friend was so nervous, what could possibly be that bad that he had to tell her? She never seen him this nervous before..?
"so...you know the invisible mafia being on the rise right now, right?" he asked, testing the water before he drop the bomb..
"mhm, yeah what about it?" squiddo spoke as her legs were dangling off the roof as the sun was setting. The tall tower was one of her favourite places she had built, the same one they were sitting on, she had always loved watching the sun set from afar...
"i..have to tell you something" he spoke hesitantly, there was no backing out now, was there?
"ash, how bad could it be, ill still be your best friend etheir way?" she spoke as she smiles softly, though it was visible that she was worried about what he might say...
"im the leader of the invisible mafia" he spoke softly, almost missing his words if the place wasnt silent.
she just stared at him in his eyes, processing what he had just said
"oh..!"
she blinked, slightly relief that, that, was the thing he wanted to tell her about...
In all honesty, she thought that he didnt wanted to be her friend anymore which was why he called her here, especially with him going M.I.A for hours during their hangouts the past few months
"oh..?" ash spoke, not expecting that to be the answer he'd get.
"that not as bad as i thought it would be?" she spoke as soft giggles were heard from the brunette with a tint of her signature colour in her hair
he tilted his head, confused by her words...?
"im the leader of the highlight mafia" squiddo stated as her brown eyes met his
for a second there, he almost got lost by how beautiful she looks under the sunset..
then he processed what squiddo just said...
"your what-!?" ash eyes widens at what she just said..
the renowned highlight mafia, unlike his mafia, being invisible all the time, her's were glowing...? the highlight mafia accepted commissions for various things...
never would he thought that she would be the leader of a mafia!? Let alone the highlight mafia!?
no information could be obtained about the them, trying to search the smallest of tracks they barely left led to nothing...his mafia that could find things so easily barely scratched the surface about the highlight mafia...
In reality, the answer was just infront of him the entire time.
The it clicked..!
it all made sense now...there was no other civilisation who was able to conceal their hide outs, tracks and identities as well as the builders...
He felt stupid for not realising this key information...
"your so perfect.." he mumbles softly as his hand covered his blushing face
she giggles softly, seeing him get all shy and flustered
"hey ash?" she spoke as he looked at her, shifting his hand to cover just his mouth instead
"hm..?" he hums softly, his eyes meeting hers
" don't move out so soon, kay? how else would we hang out everyday?" she spoke as she tilts her head to the side, smiling.
well of course there were other reasons why she didnt want him to move out...but she couldn't just confess her undying love for him? well atleast not now in this situation...
she knew he was planning to move out...well, it wasn't hard to put it together after all, there were rumors the invisible mafia finding a builder to build a new palace attached with daily necessities, of course once again found out by the highlight mafia.
"m'kay" he replied, of course he was still uncertained but this means that they still get to spend more time together, well until the mafia grew more powerful for his plan for world domination to take place that is...
There was no harm in spending a little more time together? And he didnt really want to leave anyways...! He got a reaction he didnt expect and got the best outcome...
he would take what he could get for the time being, even if it wasnt for long. they still would have to separate sooner or later but for now while there is still peace and time, might enjoy it while it still last..!
He wasnt going to complain about being able to wake up mext to her every day
neither of them needed to tell lies anymore now when mafia work came around and lesser secrets and lies were between them...it was easier to understand now why hangouts were cancelled instead of believing or having to trust such ridiculous reasons they sometimes (mostly ash) give to each other
they continued their usual conversations full of inside jokes, watching the sun set from the roof while squiddo's head leaned against his shoulders.
"i love you..." ash mumbles softly as he turned to look at her leaned on his shoulder.
she was fast asleep and he knew it from the way she stopped responding...
maybe confessing wasn't hard after all...just not now atleast..
but for the time being, his words of affection would stay unheard as they sat there on the roof together in silence
It didn't take long for him to slowly succumb to his fatigue next to her, his head resting on top of hers.
they both plan to confess their love when the time is right, but for now?
it was just a waiting game between the duo, who are both oblivious about each others feelings..
