Chapter Text
“Ey uhh.. Dusekkar, are you sure this spell is safe?”
Chance looks worried as he stands in the middle of a clearing in the forest. It was pure luck they had found it in… thirty-ish minutes?
Dusekkar sighed, “You were the one begging to be entertained, I am merely satiating that in a way where I also gain.” He glanced up from the book he had found in the smaller cabin. “Even if you feel unsafe, there are many failsafes put into place. Even if pain was to befall, for not long would you be under a thrall.”
“Okay, Dude! Then let’s get this party started!” Chance launched his fist into the air as they said that, letting out a cheer.
Dusekkar had gripped his staff with both hands. “Alright, let me start to divine. If naught goes well, do not lament and dwell.” Dusekkar strikes his staff into the ground, and chants,
“From wicked ways to pillowing stuff, tightly guarded ways to unconditional love. Cease all motion, you needn’t shush, I turn thee.. to Marketable Plush!”
Light blue glowed in the clearing, pouring from the staff to surround them both. The breeze turns into gales from a storm. The faint rustle of the trees now overpowering from the sheer weight. As he finishes chanting a smoke settles, covering the floor like fog and sticking to Chance like glitter.
…
“Dusekkar? Did you do it- AAAAUUUUGHH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHH” Chance’s legs buckle and give up, they curl in on themself self as they scream. The magic dust starts glowing brightly, enough so that even Dusekkar has to shield his eyes.
As the screaming dies down do gasps and coughs, Dusekkar approaches where chance was supposed to be. “Chance? This joke is not funny. It’s surprising that you run as fast as a bunny.”
“-ow- —-e” What? Did a fly survive my flame?
“Do— h-re!” Dusekkar kicked something, and only noticed as it rolled..
“ow! -ud-! Down here!” It was coming from whatever he kicked, he picked it up and saw..
“Dusekkar! Finally! That thing you did hurt like an entanglement, I could barely feel my body! Zero out of ten! But uhh, quick question. Why am I so small?”
In Dusekkar’s hand, he gripped a small, soft, and comical version of chance. Huh.
“Chance, I fear the spell didn’t have a metaphorical touch, for you have become a.. marketable plush.”
Seconds passed.
“What.”

Chapter Text
The silence between them lingered like a feral raccoon with a favorite trash can.
“Do not fret, dear plushie friend! I- uhm..- I know how to put this curse to an end!” Dusekkar tried to sound calm, emphasis on tried. Even Chance, with his sewed on eyes(he really couldn’t see well) could see that Dusekkar was sweating bullets. His fire even almost went out!
Needless to say, Chance was TERRIFIED. He hasn’t felt this way since his first roulette game!
“Dusekkar, my man..” Chance started. “Am I stuck as a kid’s toy forever.” Wow. What a way to rip off the bandaid. It was obviously the wrong thing to say, because Dusekkar’s fire got even dimmer.
“No..! I know a way, and it is clear as day! Just five loving acts to your form, and you will be back to norm!—”
He excitedly picks up Chance, holding and lifting him at arms length…
—
What was this feeling? It was…warm, like he just woke up feeling rested with golden sunlight shining on his skin. It was comforting, almost suffocatingly so. It was hard to focus on Dusekkar’s words, even if they were important. It felt like looking at the grandfather clock for too long, as the world fades away into calm.
—
”—I’ll have to be careful when I engage, since your pain resets all actions age. It just has to be done in two weeks without fright, or else you’ll be stuck in evernight! Super simple… right?” He rambled to Chance.
“Huh?” Chance sounded as if he was startled. “So you’re saying, just five hugs or something before two weeks and I’ll go back to normal?” The curse sounded so simple that way.
“Yes, exactly that! You sure catch on fast!” Dusekkar yelled as he spun chance around.
“Woah— Dusek! Too fast!” That same warmth spread again, making it even harder to focus than before, it was like Chance’s brain was drowning in honey.
But fast didn’t mean anything when the whole world glitched and spun around them, fading to black before seeing a graveyard.
“####.“
Notes:
Hehehe >:)
