Today is a very special day. Oswald and his family are coming to stay.
Peppa and George were sitting by the window waiting for them. "Mummy," said Peppa "will Oswald be here soon?"
"Yes, Peppa. But remember, Oswald is frightened very easily, so try not to jump at him." said Mummy Pig. A red car drove up their hill and honked.
Oswald and his family are here!
"Oswald!" oinked Peppa as she excitedly ran out of her house. She jumped toward him for a hug. Oswald squeled and jumped away from Peppa.
Oh dear. Peppa has frightened Oswald.
"Peppa," Mummy pig said "I told you not to jump at him. Now say sorry."
"I'm sorry I scared you, Oswald. I was just excited to meet you."
"It's okay, I'm sorry for being jumpy." Oswald said nervously, fidgeting with his sleeves. "Peppa, right?"
Peppa oinked "Yes! I'm Peppa Pig and this is my little brother George." she said "say hi, George." George oinked twice.
Two adults got out of the car.
These are Oswald's parents, Samual and Lauren.
Daddy Pig oinked "You two must be Oswald's parents! Pleasure to meet you. I'm Daddy Pig." He shook Sam's hand.
"Hello, Daddy pig. Thank you for having us." said Sam.
"Would you or Lauren like some coffee?" Mummy Pig offered.
"Some coffee sounds lovely, thank you!" said Lauren.
Peppa oinked "Mummy, can we play with Oswald in the garden, please?"
Daddy Pig chuckled. "Ho ho. Alright. Run along you three."
"Oh goodie!" Peppa grabbed Oswald's hand and ran towards the garden. Oswald yelped and nearly fell over from the sudden movement.
"Have fun, Oswald!" Sam called out as they ran.
"I'll try, Dad!" Oswald called back.
Peppa and George giggled as they ran into to the garden, pulling Oswald along.
"So, what are we going to play?" asked Oswald. Peppa and George thought about it.
"I know! Let's play my favourite game!" Peppa oinked. She ran back to the house giggling.
Oswald wonders what Peppa's favorite game could be.
Peppa came running back wearing her yellow boots and carrying two other pairs. She oinked "My favorite game is jumping up and down in muddy puddles!"
George giggled and started jumping in a nearby muddy puddle. "George." Peppa huffed, holding out his red boots " If you jump in muddy puddles, you must wear your boots." George put on his boots and continued jumping.
Peppa turned to Oswald and held up the pair of orange boots. "I've brought some boots for you too, Oswald!" Oswald smiled and took the boots from Peppa.
"Thank you, Peppa! They're my favourite colour! Oswald quickly took his shoes off and put on the boots.
"Come on, Oswald! Let's jump!" Peppa laughed as she jumped into the puddle with George.
Oswald giggled "Okay, here I come!" He jumped into the muddy puddle and stomped to test it out. Then he started fully jumping alongside Peppa and George. "This is awesome!!" He laughed.
Oswald loves jumping up and down in muddy puddles. Peppa and George love jumping up and down in muddy puddles. Everyone loves jumping up and down in muddy puddles.
"Whoa! AH!!" Oswald slipped and fell into the muddy puddle. He groaned in annoyance.
"Are you okay?" Peppa was worried Oswald had hurt himself.
"Yeah I'm okay" he sighed, standing up and trying to dust himsellf off. "This happens alot to me."
Oswald is a bit clumsy, so he falls over quite often.
"Oswald! Peppa! George! Supper time!"
The kids ran back into the house, covered in mud, Oswald being the most muddy.
"Oh, Oz," Lauren gestured to her son's filthy clothes. "What were you all doing to get this dirty?"
Oswald fidgeted with his muddy sleeves. "Sorry, Mom. We-"
"We were jumping up and down in muddy puddles and Oswald fell in the mud." Peppa interrupted.
Mummy Pig chuckled. "Nevermind." she oinked "we can wash your clothes. Now children, go and clean up so we eat.
The kids went up stairs to change out of their muddy clothes. Peppa changed out of her red dress to her pink dress, George changed out of his blue shirt and shorts, to his green shirt and shorts and oswald changed out of his blue jacket, yellow and red striped shirt and blue pants to his dark red shirt and gray pants.
They went back downstairs and joined the adults in the kitchen for supper.
Daddy Pig has made spaghetti for supper.
"Come on, tuck in everyone"
Everyone began to eat the spaghetti, the sounds of slurping and forks clattering filled the room. Oswald finished his plate first.
"That was delicious Mr. Pig!" he said licking his lips. "Can I have some more, please?"
Daddy Pig dished Oswald some more spaghetti. " Of course!" he oinked "have as much as you like."
"Thank you, Mr. Pig!"
Sam ruffled his son's hair. "Well, I'm glad you've got your appetite back, kiddo."
Oswald has had a great day, and he can't wait for tomarrow!
