It was a lovely afternoon in the vivid street sekai, Akito Shinonome is sipping on a latte Meiko made for him and chowing down on some pancakes with Toya while he is sipping on his delicious black coffee. Today Akito wanted to ask Toya about something he's been meaning to do for a while now.
“So Akito, what did you want to talk about?”
“Well you see Toya.. I’ve been meaning to get a side job, like a side hustle or something like that…”
“Side hustle huh.. But what about your main job?”
“Ah yeah my job is just fine. I just need a little extra cash on hand, do you have any recommendations on what I could do Toya?”
The reason why Akito needed some extra cash on hand was because he needed to buy a box of chocolates to confess to his third year crush before he graduates from kamiyama high. Tsukasa Tenma. But besides that Toya thought long and hard about what side job would suit Akito, then an idea popped into his head.
“How about modeling?”
“Modeling? Hold on a second you really think I can model..?” Akito asks in a confused tone.
“Well yes! Tsukasa is actually doing some modeling for the zozotown shoot since it’s coming up soon. Shiraishi will be participating as well. I think you would make a great candidate, Akito.”
Akito almost chokes on the pancakes he was shoveling into his mouth.
“Geh. Did you just say.. Tsukasa will be there? Modeling??”
A flustered Akito coughs and pauses to look at his pancakes. The thought of his senior being a model was something that never came across his mind, Tsukasa Tenma out of all people to be exact. The guy he’s been crushing on for as long as he’s been at kamiyama, Something about that obnoxiously loud extroverted and kind senior enamoured him. And made Akito head over heels for that idiot, he likes to mess with Tsukasa as much as possible. His reactions are the cutest whenever Akito would tease him. It’s so fun to mess with your senior and make him blush as much as possible only to realize that you are pathetically in love with him and have no idea how the hell to confess to him.
“Akito!? Are you okay? You almost choked on your pancakes..”
“Y-Yeah I’m good. I just didn’t think him out of all people would get scouted to be a model.”
But he is rather handsome and cute, Akito thought to himself. Maybe there were a few model qualities to his extroverted senior.
“Ahaha.. Yeah me too. I didn’t think Tsukasa would get scouted so easily but he does have a bright personality and good looks to make up for it. I also think the same about you since you’re very handsome yourself Akito.”
“Me? Handsome..? Well I guess you’re not wrong about that.”
“You don’t have to do it if you don’t want to of course! But one of the cameramen did come up to me and wanted to recruit one more person for their shoot so… I heard the pay is really good as well.”
Akito thought long and hard about this decision. On one hand he gets to see his crush model and admire how beautiful he is, but on the other hand he could totally fumble and embarrass himself in front of Tsukasa. He never really thought much about modeling but he does have the looks and right attitude to be one. Not to mention Tsukasa will be there and so will An. Akito decided to take advantage of this opportunity even if it’s a little risky, he’ll take it.
“I’ll take it. If the pay is really that good then I’ll do it Toya.”
“Really? That’s good to hear! I’ll inform Tsukasa and the others so you can meet up with them tomorrow. I hope you do well with the modeling gig Akito.”
"Thanks Toya. That means a lot. I'll need all the luck I can get since he's also going to be there."
Toya chuckles. "Don't mess around with him too much okay? It's just a modeling shoot after all."
"Yeah I know. but I'm totally gonna beat Tsukasa at this anyway."
"If I don't fumble first that is.. he's probably gonna look stupidly cute isn't he? I'm so done for." Akito says in his head.
After finishing up his latte and pancakes Akito bids his partner farewell as he makes his way out of the street sekai.
"..I wonder would I be able to confess to him at the shoot? Wait nah no way. I need to wait and get the money first so I can confess to him properly. The confession can wait... Right?"
"Well I'll be going then, see ya later Toya. Thanks for the recommendation."
"See you Akito, the shoot starts during 12pm tomorrow at Nonogi park so good luck. I'll make sure to give them your email so the agency can deliver your clothes early."
As Akito waves his partner goodbye with a smile, his heart was pounding out of his chest for what could happen tomorrow. He won't admit it out loud but he is looking forward to modeling with his crush. He smiles at the thought of seeing Tsukasa in a cute neck sweater or a cool leather jacket even. He can't wait for tomorrow.

It was finally the afternoon, it's time for Akito's Zozotown shoot with Tsukasa and the others. Akito wastes no time getting out of bed and doing his morning routine, right after he's finished he hears a ring at his doorbell, luckily his sister Ena gets the door for him. She opens the door to be met with a stylish black box that says "ZOZOTOWN" on it and picks it up.
"Zozotown..? Wow! Isn't this like a major fashion brand? Akito did you order this?"
"Huh.. you beat me to the door. But yeah those are my clothes."
"Hmm... and just where are you going with clothes like these? It's not like you're modeling or anything." Ena laughs a bit to herself but then she gets interrupted by her brother when he finally reveals that he's modeling with a few friends of his.
"Hmph. Well I'll have you know that I ACTUALLY am modeling thank you very much. I have to meet up with Tsukasa and An at Nonogi park in a few minutes. Can I have my clothes back now?
"HUH!? No way I mean.. they wanted to scout you out of all people!?" Ena says in a jokingly manner while Akito rolls his eyes in annoyance."Okay jokes aside I think it's great that you're modeling, you know a lot about fashion after all. And you said Tsukasa was going to be there right?"
"Oh great she's gonna tease me about my crush on Tsukasa now. When will I ever hear the end of this?"
"Hehe~ so you're gonna try and impress him at the shoot am I right~?"
"Don't be ridiculous! It's nothing like that..! I don't need to impress him when I'll be the one who stands out at that shoot more than him."
"Aw you're no fun.. anyways heres your clothes back good luck at the shoot you big dummy." Ena says in a playful tone while she hands back the Zozotown box to Akito and he just sighs in return.
"Thanks. I really need it. I wonder what kind of clothes did they give me.."
As Akito opens the box he's met with a casual yet cool black outfit, they gave him a complementary chain necklace as well which he seems to really like.
"Huh.. not bad. The baggy pants and necklace would really compliment the look." He says with a smile. He goes to his room and immediately puts on the outfit and does his hair. After he's finished dressing up he looks at himself at the mirror admiring his rad new outfit.
"Well I guess this really is my style huh.. it fits me perfectly. Tsukasa would like how this outfit looks on me right?" His eyes twinkle a bit when he asks himself that question in the mirror.
"Wait why am I already thinking about him... ugh this is seriously the worst.. All I've been thinking about is Tsukasa the entire afternoon, He's taking over my brain and I just can't stop it!" Akito pouts as he faces the mirror one last time.
"Okay no more playing around. it's time to go to the shoot I can't fumble in front of my loud ass senior, especially since I want to impress him. I love him and I'm not gonna fuck up this chance today."
After Akito makes that statement to himself he rushes out his room and the front door all the way to Nonogi park. it's almost time for the shoot so he sprints there as fast as he can. And then, he finally arrives at Nonogi park. He's out of breath but he thankfully made it on time. While Akito was trying to catch his breath An spots him and waves at him so she can get his attention.
"Yooo! Akito!! Over here!" She waves enthusiastically and then joyfully walks over to Akito, she pulls Haruka along with her to say hi.
"Hi there Shinonome! You seem like you're out of breath.. are you okay? Did you run all the way here? Haruka asks in a concern tone.
Akito huffs and puffs for a few seconds but he is finally able to respond to Haruka's question
"..Yeah I'm good I'm not late am I?"
"Of course not! We're starting the shoot In just a few minutes actually, glad to see you're as fit as ever though!" Haruka and An chuckle together. An rubs Akito's back to reassure him. "Don't sweat it Akito! You're gonna do great at this shoot especially since you've been paired with Tsukasa! oh speaking of Tsukasa he's looking for you actually, I'll call him over!"
"Tsukasa!!! Akito finally showed up!!!!"
"WHAT. NO NO NO NO DON'T CALL HIM OVER HERE. I'M NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO HANDLE HOW CUTE HE'LL LOOK." Akito starts to panic in his mind but that all washes away when a familiar voice roars from the distance.
It's Tsukasa and it seems like he's heard An and is now approaching Akito at full speed!?
"AKITOOOOO!!! HELLOOO!!!!!" The blonde man yells and waves at the ginger enthusiastically. He runs toward the flustered ginger and jumps on him toppling him over.
"GEH- WHAT THE HELL TSUKASA?"
"AKITO! I AM SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE WITH US! YOU LOOK SO COOL AND HANDSOME!" Tsukasa proudly nuzzles into Akito's neck making his face heat up. "Oh god he's so cute. I'm going to kill myself my heart is beating out of my chest for this adorable idiot." Akito gets a glimpse of Tsukasa's new outfit and his blush blooms into a crimson red. The sweater, his leather jacket, and his hairstyle? He was mesmerised by how charming and daring Tsukasa looked. They're both almost completely lost in the moment when An interrupts.
"Really? In front of us? I have a partner too you know!" An says as she kisses Haruka sweetly on the cheek. Haruka chuckles in return.
"Oh An.. you make me feel more special than I already do. C'mon you two get up! The cameramen are gonna take our photos soon."
"Ugh get off of me will you..? And he's not my partner!" Both Tsukasa and Akito's faces are visibly flushed with pink, Tsukasa immediately gets off Akito and extends his hand out to help him get up.
"Come on Akito!!! Let's do this model thing!!"
"Whatever you say dummy.."
The fashionable four make their way to the set and the cameramen get their cameras ready, Akito plays with his chain necklace a bit to distract him from the nervousness luckily Tsukasa notices and holds his hand to reassure him.
"Don't be nervous Akito! We're looking so dashing together aren't we? I have to say I really look like a star in this outfit!" Upon holding hands the ginger's face lights up with pink again. It made him feel so special, so flustered, so happy.
"I really can't stop chasing this feeling.. It's all his fault I'm like this. I like him so much. I don't think I'll be able to hold back anymore."
Akito and Tsukasa link their arms together for the photos and strike some poses here and there, both of them flashing smiles at the cameras but mostly each other. He was actually having fun modeling with his friends and his crush. He wanted to live in this moment forever. Admiring that big stupid smile forever. The four of them gather together for one last final photo and it turns out to be one of their best photos yet. All of them were having so much fun the evening eventually came and the cameramen pack up and leave so do An and Haruka. They both take their pay and wave Akito and Tsukasa goodbye while The boys do the same and walk their way back to Shibuya crossing.
"I seriously couldn't take my eyes off you Akito! You were stunning at the shoot! A real star indeed.. but I was the true star shining in those photos! HAHAHAHA!!
"Yeah yeah whatever you say... you looked pretty cute today you know.. well you look cute all the time actually."
Tsukasa's face heats up and a blush slowly creeps up his face. He's surprised to hear that from Akito out of all people.
"W-Wait a second.. Akito you think I'm cute?"
Akito rubs the back of his neck sheepishly, he's finally come to the realization that he can't hide his feelings for Tsukasa anymore. It's time to come clean.
"Dude. You're like hella cute you know that right? I mean.. you're loud as shit but you're also stupidly attractive as well."
"Akito.. what are you trying to say right now...?"
"Look man, I'm gonna be straight with- well actually there's nothing straight about what I'm gonna say to you." Akito takes in a deep breath and finally gets out the words that have been knotted in his stomach for so long.
"Tsukasa.. I'm in love with you. And I've been in love with you for the past year now. The reason why I agreed to do this modeling gig was to buy you a box of chocolates or some roses... I wanted my confession to be like, perfect you know? But to be honest seeing you at the shoot today just made me impatient. I'm sorry my confession wasn't so grand. But I really love you with all my heart Tsukasa--"
Akito immediately gets interrupted by Tsukasa cupping his face and then pulling him into a kiss. Akito was shocked but was so relieved The kiss was soft, short, and sweet. Feeling Tsukasa's lips on his felt like heaven. It was a short but passionate kiss. They finally pulled away from each other looking at each other lovingly.
"Akito.. I feel the same way! I'm so happy you love me too!! I've loved you for a while now as well, I just didn't know how to confess to you without it sounding awkward..."
Tsukasa caresses Akito's cheek and gives him an extra kiss as a reward for confessing to him first however the ginger's tsundere instincts already kicked in.
"WHAT. YOU DUMBASS! YOU COULD HAVE SAID IT SOONER I WAS LITERALLY NERVOUS THE WHOLE AFTERNOON." His face is covered in an embarrassed blush while Tsukasa laughs affectionately at him and pinches Akito's cheeks. He pulls him in for a hug and then kisses him one last time. This time the kiss was more longer and full of love. Tsukasa giggles in between the kiss which sends butterflies down Akito's stomach. God he loves this stupid boy so much.
"I guess this means we're boyfriends now huh.."
"It sure does! Now come along with me Akito! I'm pretty sure that one cafe nearby is still open. We can go on a little date!!" The blonde lovingly boasts and holds Akito's hand as they walk into the sunset.
"I'd love that Tsukasa. Lets.. get pancakes while we're at it."
"You betcha! Boyfriend~!"
"I'm stuck with him for the rest of my life now. He's mine and I'm his. Thank you Tsukasa Tenma for being light of my life."
