Summary
Bruce assumed he’d hate living full time at the Kent farm, but he also learned long ago to never assume anything when it came to Clark Kent. The man literally swept him off his feet when they first met each other on a mission in their twenties, and Bruce feels like he’s never quite touched the ground in all their decades orbiting each other– as rivals then colleagues then friends and then finally, as lovers.
The best way to describe the feeling was how a blushing Clark put it after their first kiss: Being with you feels like flying. It was corny, but it was true. Besides, with a life full of so much violence and pain, a little corniness goes a long way.
