Awakening from his disturbed slumber, Jaeyun quickly located himself in his wooden chair, a pen clutched tightly in his hold alongside a piece of paper which had magically appeared before him, its edges glittered softly in the breeze that whisked across his shared room with Jungwon, who was snoring lightly in the bed across the room from him.

Smiling softly to himself, he began to write.

Without surprise, evergreen vines began to emerge within the ink, symbolising the power bestowed within.

He abruptly stopped and started to chuckle quietly as he reminded himself that, much to the chagrin of Jungwon and his other friends who had come to visit the two fairies, he had numerous mystical plants scattered over the room.

The embarrassed fairy had been scolded by Yeonjun and Sunoo for the chaotic mess his experiments - which were for his upcoming test - had caused. The evening began with fairy-strangling vines and makeup-stealing plants that apparently had "no fashion sense."

Which inevitably, later followed with a tortoise-saving adventure involving gassy spores.

Fortunately, in the end, the water nymphs, were thankfully able to relocate with the help of his seemingly endless supply of a new potion.

So in a way, no actual harm was done from his experiments back in the dorms of Alfea, well, without mentioning the ruined and torn-up clothes from Sunoo’s wardrobe.

Finishing his letter, he gently folded it, kissed it, and sprayed it with his signature scent - a blend of saltwater and orange blossoms, if you will.

He called out for Chatta, who groaned as she woke up, eliciting a small laugh from the fairy, who quickly stifled his giggles for fear of waking Jungwon from his well-deserved rest.

“What do you want me to do?" Chatta sighed wearily, her green eyes blinking softly as sleep threatened to take over. Jaeyun smiled sympathetically at the sight.

“Sorry for waking you up, I have a favour for you to do. It’ll only take a few minutes, maybe even faster with your pixie dust…” Chatta arched an eyebrow in wonder of her fairies' rambling, Jaeyun who had then realised, began to stutter in embarrassment.

“I just need you to deliver this letter for me.” the fairy alleged, his cheeks flushed with a gentle hue of pink.

“Ooh! I know!! It’s for Heeseung isn’t it!” Chatta exclaimed excitedly, teasing the flushed fairy who nodded with a shy smile.

“I’ll get it delivered asap!” Chatta shrieked, Jaeyun, in retaliation slapped his hand onto the pixies’ mouth quickly, who giggled awkwardly in remembrance of Jungwon who was sleeping soundlessly behind them.

“Sorry… haha… forgot.”

"Look. It’s not like I’m ignoring him so it just doesn’t make sense why it feels like he hates me all of a sudden.” Sunghoon murmured to Jay, who tried to lighten the mood with a somewhat therapeutic but awkward session.

“Maybe he’s just nervous?” Taehyun reclaimed besides them whilst clearing his throat, his resolve suddenly stiffening from the obvious lack of response from the others.

Heeseung, who was seen daydreaming with a pen and paper in his hand, sighed in retaliation, earning yet another glance from Sunghoon who scoffed with a teasing grin.

“Now who are you writing to?” Sunghoon exclaimed with a teasing smile, earning a few glances from the others.

“No one… And why does it matter to you?" Heeseung stated awkwardly, due to the sudden attention from the group - his grip on the pen loosening.

Jay, with a sly grin and a quickly-formed plan, went up to him and wrapped an arm around his shoulder. "You don't have a particular nature fairy in mind, do you?" He jabbered, causing the others to chuckle at Heeseung's oblivious expression, which was unavoidably flushed by his friend's pointed inquiry.

Ignoring them with a scowl, he walked out of the guffaw room, locked the door, and let out an awkward sigh.

Running his hand through his hair, he glanced at his desk, where a practically empty ink vase sat.

He mentally noted to replenish it as quickly as possible so that he could continue writing letters to Jaeyun.

With the thought of the fairy, he couldn’t help but reminisce back to the beginning when the pair had begun writing, it was after they met on that fatal day when Jay introduced him to the group.

In addition to his pretty outfit, Jaeyun's deep understanding of Heeseung's love for painting instantly drew his attention.

Then, as the day progressed, Lord Darkar had to ruin the day by sending Keborg to attack the Red Fountain, even going ahead to try and target Jaeyun, which Heeseung swiftly stopped with the help of his weapon  in order to not see him hurt.

In return for his help with the capture of the beast, the fairy's smile as a thank you was enough for the elder, who left with a smile and a fast-paced beating heart.

Another unforgettable sight fragmented in his mind.

He clutched his chest and fell back onto his bed, scrunching the bottom of his shirt in inner turmoil.

How could he possibly ever forget that night?

If you listen long enough, you could hear slow music, but all Heeseung could see was Jaeyun draping from a pillar, his jade green tunic covered in pearl-like flowers which were powder-pink in colour that travelled down from his collarbone to his navel.

Heeseung sat behind him, crosswise, holding a piece of paper and a shaded-out pencil, sketching the scene before him.

He peered at the fairy and was fatally struck.

Meaningfully, his pencil dropped onto the forest floor, long forgotten.

His sights filled with the immortal, beautiful sight of the fairy batting his eyes at him, he gasped.

His seemingly endless thoughts were abruptly interrupted by a series of tiny knocks originating from his window.

Standing up, guarded with the fear of a  beast ready to attack, he peered and silently trotted towards the window, where vast valleys of dark forests were seen; all hollow and darkened with the menacing doom of the nurturing night, in comparison with the faint moonlight cascading solemnly which was a gentle admonition of its beauty and safety.

Opening the window, he saw no one but only a small letter: pink at the edges, with a huge imprint of a crown vetch in the centre of it, as though it had been placed purposefully as a reminder.

As if Heeseung could ever forget.

Grinning to himself, he took hold of the letter, sat on his dishevelled bed once more, and opened it cautiously, as though it were fragile and should be handled with care.

Afraid of destroying it, wrecking it, or ruining its delicacy.

With a trembling, secluded sigh, he unfolded it.

“Dear Heeseung”,
