The Tickle Tactic.

Summary:

Game night at the Grant-Nash Household is underway, but how far will Athena go to win?

Notes:

Hi!

This was requested on my NGL a few days ago and I finally got round to finishing it this morning. I've put my own spin on it, wanting to include the absolute chaos of the family dynamic and just how insane they all are.

I also need a *slight* break from all the smut I've been writing and thought this was a good choice.

I hope you all have a great Sunday and enjoy!

Love&Hugs,

Wisno Xx

Work Text:

“Okay, Mom. Right hand, blue.”

“And don’t be cheating this time.”

“I don’t cheat!”

“Tell that to the judge.”

Bobby stood off to the side, watching as his wife began to bend over. His eyes automatically drawing onto her backside, allowing himself a few seconds before diverting his eyes elsewhere. Knowing if one of the kids caught him, he’d never hear the end of it.

Tonight was the annual game night at the Grant-Nash household, and the chosen game for the evening was Twister. One that hadn’t been played by any of the family members in years, which only made it a little more interesting.

Especially when Harry would joke about Bobby’s old man bones and his inability to be flexible.

Which took almost all of Athena’s willpower in not scarring her children to prove them wrong.

“Almost there, baby.” Bobby encouraged from the sidelines a moment later with Harry beside him. The younger man in charge of the board and taking his role very seriously. “Just a little more.”

May who stood with her arms crossed gave a loud tut. “You’re not meant to be encouraging her, Bobby. You’re on my team.”

Holding up his hands, Bobby gave a small chuckle. “I can support the opposition- - especially when the opposition is my wife.”

Athena let out a slight, strained chuckle while trying her hardest to stay upright. Concentrating on connecting her hand with the blue dot, which took a lot more energy than the police Sergeant first anticipated.

Even if she ended up being successful in doing so. “There! I’m in!”

“Nice one, Mom.” Harry cheered before turning to his older sister. “It’s your turn, May. Are you ready?”

Taking a deep breath, the young woman nodded. “Hit me.”

The silence took over as the anticipation began to build. The dial had been spun and both Bobby and Harry’s eyes became glued to it, watching as it skimmed over each colour and action before finally beginning to slow.

And once it stopped completely, the announcement was made.

“Left hand, green.”

The groan that left May’s lips caused both Bobby and Harry to chuckle. “That is all the way on the other side!”

“I know.” Harry shrugged, not seeming to care too much. “Not my problem though.”

She huffed at that. “Gee, thanks.”

“You got this, May.” Bobby stepped in before the two siblings would begin to bicker. Encouraging his stepdaughter before once again, his eyes landed on Athena’s ass. Almost as if it was magnetised.

With one more huff escaping her, May began to rotate. Trying to figure out the best angle while also keeping her own foot secure on the red dot.

“This is impossible.” She grumbled, lowering herself to the ground.

“The Lord blessed you with long limbs, baby.” Athena snickered, watching May through the gap in her legs. “Use them.”

May bit back a laugh. “I’m trying.”

Doing a crawl-like motion, May was able to slowly ease herself across the mat. Her right leg was straight as it stayed connected with the red spot, whilst the left was bent. Allowing her to keep the balance as fingers slowly inched toward the green.

“You’re almost there, May.” Bobby whispered, his eye wide with suspense. “A little more.”

“I just can't get the angle.” May whined, digging her fingernails into the plastic. “And Mom’s leg being in the way isn’t helping!”

Athena snickered then. “Don’t hate the player, baby.”

May’s entire face scrunched up in concentration as her fingertips finally came into contact with the green circle. “Oh it’s definitely this game I hate.”

“The whole hand, May.” Harry reminded his sister unhelpfully, only to be told to shut up a second later.

Which caused Bobby to bite his lip in order not to laugh. “You got this, May. You’re so close!”

“I know. I know.” She whispered just as her forehead came into contact with Athena’s thigh. “I just gotta- ARGH!”

Just as May’s palm came into contact with the mat, the young woman lost her balance. May’s elbow folding in which ultimately caused her to collapse within herself, landing directly on the mat. Which was only followed by an eye roll at Harry and Athena’s sounds of celebration.

“Alright! That’s yet another point to the better team.” Harry beamed, high fiving his mom when she grew closer. “The score now stands at 4-3.”

Brushing herself off, May gave another eye roll before moving next to Bobby. “I hate this game.”

Athena scoffed. “You hate losing.”

“Of course I hate losing.” May tilted her head, arms crossed against her chest. “But I still hate this game.”

After giving his wife a kiss on the cheek, Bobby turned back to May. “Only one more round to go, May. Though if we win then there’ll be a tie break-“

“No. No. I’m done.” May shook her head, moving to sit down on the couch. “You can take my next go.”

Harry stepped forward then. “What!? You can’t do that.”

“I can and I will.” May argued with an arched eyebrow. “Mom won that round so she can go up against Bobby. Though I don’t see much point, we should just end it now considering we all know Mom will win.”

“Hey!” Bobby gasped, looking down at his stepdaughter. “What happened to not encouraging the opposing team?”

Even though May tried, she couldn’t help but smirk at Bobby’s reaction. “Mom hasn’t lost a single round yet. It’s just a fact.”

“She’s right, baby.” Athena patted him on the shoulder before taking a sip of her wine. “I will beat you.”

“You sound confident in that, Sergeant.” Bobby arched an eyebrow.

Athena smirked. “That’s because I am.”

“Alright fine.” Bobby nodded, turning back to face Harry. “Me vs Mom.”

Clapping his hands, Harry raced back over to the spinner. “She won’t go easy on you.”

“Just spin the dial.”

Letting out a puff of air, Harry flicked the spinner as May moved back over toward her younger brother. The two siblings watching and waiting before it came to a stop.

“Alright, Bobby.” Harry announced. “Left hand, yellow.”

Nodding, Bobby crouched. “Easy.”

Rolling her eyes, Athena looked toward her kids as she waited for her turn.

“Right foot, blue.” May told her this time, watching as Athena slid next to Bobby.

After a few more seconds, Harry spoke once more. “Right hand, red.”

Stretching across the mat, Bobby placed his palm into the correct circle while trying to ignore that fact that Athena’s ass was pretty much directly in his face. “Your turn, baby.”

“Left foot, blue.”

A noise of protest escaped Bobby at that. “You’re kidding.”

“Not kidding.” May snickered, getting her phone out ready. “I told you Mom won’t lose.”

“It’s a game of chance, baby.” Athena snickered, feeling almost boastful. “Don’t be such a sore loser.”

“I am not.” Bobby argued gently, starting to feel the burn in his shoulders. “Now spin.”

Letting out a laugh, Harry did as he was told. “Left foot, green.”

“Just do a spiderman pose.” May encouraged, hoping Bobby would understand.

Which of course he didn’t, sticking out his leg until his left foot came into contact with the dot.

“Nice one, baby.” Athena praised from above.

“Oh don’t patronise me, Sergeant.” He smirked, winking up at her.

Harry rolled his eyes this time. “We’re playing twister and you guys are still flirting?”

“Not just flirting- - Bobby was totally looking at Mom’s ass earlier.” May nudged her brother as she took the dial from him.

“Ew!” The younger man scrunched his face up, looking at her stepdad. “Not cool, man.”

Laughing, Bobby gave a slight shrug. “You’ll get it one day, bud.”

“Maybe. But that day is not today.”

Biting back a smile, Athena let out a sigh. “Can I take my turn now?”

Chuckling, May spun the dial. “Oo left hand, green.”

“Ouch.” Harry snickered, grabbing a handful of popcorn. “That’s a sucky one.”

Athena scoffed then. “Thanks, Harry.”

“Looks like you gotta do some strategising, baby.” Bobby smirked, knowing exactly where his wife would have to climb.

“You just sit there and look pretty.” She warned, beginning to lower herself to the ground. “I got this.”

Raising his eyebrows, Bobby watched as Athena reached over Bobby’s torso until her own stomach was pressed against it. Still moving forward until finally, her hand could come into contact with the green spot.

“See. Told ya’ll.”

Athena’s face was even closer to Bobby’s now, so close that her breath could be felt on him. “This is cozy.”

“Don’t distract me, Bobby.”

“I’m not.” He laughed, lowering his eyes. “Just enjoying the view.”

Rolling her eyes, Athena couldn't help but smirk. “You’re impossible.”

“And you’re sexy.”

Laughing a little, Athena shook her head before allowing herself to get too wrapped up in her husbands charm. “It’s Bobby’s turn.”

After waiting another moment, Harry spoke once more. “Right hand, blue.”

Pushing himself up, Bobby connected his palm with the coloured spot. “Oh that’s better.”

“Those old man bones hurting yet?” Harry teased, to which Bobby retaliated with sticking his tongue out.

“You ready, Mom?” May asked, still amused by her brothers comment.

“Ready, baby.”

The dial spun and the room fell quiet before it finally stopped. “Right hand, yellow.”

Bobby groaned lightly at that. “You’re cheating. I don’t know how, but you’re cheating.”

“Don’t be a baby.” She laughed, securing her hand easily. “This game was your idea.”

“That was before I knew how damn good you’d be at it.”

Athena chuckled, kissing Bobby’s knee. “I’m good at everything, Captain. You should know that by now.”

Rolling her eyes, May spoke up. “Are you done?”

“Hit me.” Bobby cleared his throat, shuffling in his spot.

“Oh.” Harry winced, sharing a quick look with his sister. “That’s not good.”

“What is it?” Bobby’s voice changed now, slipping from calm into slightly panicked.

Turning the board over, May showed her stepdad. “Left foot, red.”

A slight gasp left Athena’s mouth before a gentle laugh followed, already imaging her long-legged husband trying to reach the other side of the mat. “Oh, baby.”

“You can do this, Bobby.” May cheered from the sideline, even if she didn’t believe a word.

Taking a deep breath, Bobby slowly began to turn his body. Being careful of Athena who was still below him, looking all kinds of mischievous with a hint of flirty as her big, brown eyes bore into him.

“Nice and slow, baby.” She whispered, batting her eyes at him. “I know you like it like that.”

Bobby shut his eyes then. “Athena..”

“And you know I like you like this.” She continued, ignoring her husband who was hanging on by a thread. “Above me, surrounding me-“

“I mean it, baby- - you gotta stop. “

Athena chuckled lowly, raising her lips that little bit higher. “You usually tell me to keep going.”

A shiver ran down Bobby’s spine as all sorts of thoughts entered his mind. Thoughts that he shouldn't be having, especially not when May and Harry were present. Or when he was in the middle of a twister mat.

“You smell good.” Athena mentioned after a minute, still trying to distract her husband. “Look good, too.”

Pursing his lips together, Bobby continued to move. Allowing some of his body weight to rest on Athena as he got into a better position, already moving his leg across the mat without lifting up a single finger from the other dots.

Which was something that May and Harry couldn’t quite believe.

“Wow, Bobby!” Harry’s eyes widened with a smile. “You’re like, almost there.”

Athena’s head snapped up at that, the woman convinced that Bobby wouldn’t of been able to stretch that far. “He is?!”

“A few centimetres to go!” May almost squealed, bouncing up and down. “Lower your leg a little.”

“I- I’m trying.” Bobby panted, suddenly very glad he changed into some sweatpants before game night started. “I think Harry might’ve been onto something.”

The younger man snorted then. “I told you.”

“Push through it, Bobby!” May told him, her voice a little sterner. “You get this point and we catch up.”

Athena felt her heart start to race as that weird competitive streak inside her started to come to life. Not wanting anything or anyone to ruin her perfect score sheet, even if that someone was her husband.

Looking back again, Athena noticed the way that Bobby’s shirt had risen due to him stretching. A sight that would usually stir something with in her, however tonight, it seemed to be blinded by the need to win.

And so, Athena made her move.

Without lifting her hands or feet up from the spots, Athena leant forward. Carefully and strategically brushing her head against Bobby’s exposed skin. Lightly at first, with just enough pressure not to draw any attention, before Athena did it again.

Her curly locks lightly brushing against Bobby’s most ticklish spot.

Which had worked a treat.

“A-Athena!” The fire Captain burst out laughing as his stomach sucked in as much as possible. “What- What are you doing?”

“Nothing.” She answered sweetly and instantly, flashing him a smile before repeating her previous action. Getting another squirm and another giggle out of her man. “What’s up with you?”

“You!” He tried to dodge her, lifting up his torso as far as possible. “Y-You’re tickling me!”

Athena huffed then, trying to play innocent. “I am not.”

“You are!” Bobby argued, momentarily forgetting about where his footing was. “You brushed against my stomach.”

May and Harry raised an eyebrow now, risking the few steps forward to try and see what’s going on.

“I’m not! My hands never left the mat.” Athena bit back a laugh, looking at her kids. “May come and stand here so you can prove to Bobby that I didn’t move.”

Letting out a sigh, May just smiled. “Alright.”

“Watch her like a hawk, May.” Bobby instructed from the mat, his voice still lightly laced with amusement. “The woman is a menace.”

“Oh for god-sakes, Bobby!” Athena stifled a laugh. “Just hurry and take your turn.”

Mumbling something Athena couldn’t quite make out, Bobby continued to reach for the red dot. His shirt riding up once more, just like Athena had expected, meaning once again she could lean forward and brush against him. And in a way that wouldn’t draw any suspicion to the children behind her.

“Ah!” Bobby yelped suddenly, his elbow giving out a little. “Y-You’re doing it- - would you stop! Baby!”

Ignoring his words, Athena continued to brush her hair against him. Biting back her own laughter as she noticed that the strong structure of Bobby Nash was beginning to crack. Each laugh rumbling out of him louder now, more often and with ferocity.

“She’s- - Tickling- - Me!”

“Wait is she?” Harry began to laugh as the situation caught up to him. “But her hands are on the mat?”

Bobby’s entire face scrunched up. “Hair! She’s using- - argh!”

With the amount Bobby was beginning to laugh, his entire body became weaker. Muscles began to ache due to trying to hold the position, as well as his stomach almost burning from the giggles. Legs were shaking and arms were barely keeping him upright.

Which is exactly what Athena wanted.

“I’m not doing anything.” The police Sergeant defended herself, voice firm as eyes avoided the kids. “Just waiting for Bobby to take his damn turn.”

“Don’t listen to her!” He argued, still not risking in opening his eyes. “She’s using her hair!”

Tutting, May shook her head. “I don’t buy it.”

“What?! What- - oh man! What do you mean you don’t buy it?” Bobby tried to look back, though another wave of laughter washed over him. “Are you even looking?”

“I’m looking, Bobby.” May sighed, standing back up. “And I see nothing.”

“Yeah me too.” Harry agreed, already losing interest in the conversation. “If you’re just stalling to get Mom to fall then just say that-“

Bobby huffed at that, managing to squirm away once more. “Oh so you’re all ganging up on me, huh?”

“Three vs one, baby.” Athena told him easily, giving her husband a short break. “Jury thinks you’re lying.”

“Yeah well the jury is full of- - no! No, baby please I- Oof!”

It took one more subtle tickle from Athena and just like that, Bobby Nash lost his balance.

The fire Captain crashing onto the mat, landing on his back as the laughter continued to rumble out of him. Cheeks flushed, chest heaving and the cheering from Harry and Athena swarming his ears.

“That’s how you do it, baby.” Athena pulled her son into a hug before holding a hand out to May. Which of course was ignored. “Don’t be sour.”

“I can and I will be.” May sulked before heading off into the kitchen with Harry close behind, no doubt looking for something else to eat.

Leaving Bobby and Athena alone in the living room.

“You okay, baby?” She asked him, keeping a careful eye on his handsome face.

“You cheater.”

A gasp left Athena’s mouth then. “Excuse you?”

Cracking an eye open, Bobby looked up at his wife. “You cheated, Athena. You tickled me.”

“I did not.”

“Oh, you so did!” He laughed, rising up onto his elbows. “You and your damn hair-“

Athena lowered herself then, landing back on her knees at the same time a finger jabbed into Bobby’s side. “You leave my hair out of this.”

“Only if you admit that you cheated!” He squirmed under Athena’s touch, reaching out to grab her wrist. “You tickled me and got me to fall because you know I was going to secure that point!”

“I did no such thing.” She dismissed, leaning forward now.

Bobby met her in the middle, still holding onto her. “Admit it.”

“No.”

“Athena-“

Shaking her head, Athena pursed her lips. “You lost your balance.”

“You tickled me to the ground.” Bobby raised an eyebrow, inching in ever so slightly. “Admit it, baby.”

“Not. A. Chance.” Athena whispered, brushing her nose against Bobby’s. “In fact..”

He swallowed at that. “In fact, what?”

“I think you’re secretly asking for it.” She smirked, crawling over him as if he was her prey. “I think you secretly like it.”

“Like what?” Bobby asked, hands automatically going to Athena’s hips. “You’re confusing me- OH!”

In an instant, Athena had dug her fingers into Bobby’s sides. Tickling the man and tickling him hard, causing Bobby to bark out a laugh and physically squirm underneath his wife.

“Woah wait- - Athena! Baby, please!”

“Nah ah!” Athena laughed, legs pinning Bobby to the plastic mat as she tried to keep him as still as possible. “You accused me of cheating, this is what you get!”

“You did cheat- - Ah! I’m serious! Babe- - not there!” Bobby tried to keep calm but the laughter was bubbling out of him uncontrollably. And it only got worse when Athena reached just above his ribs. “No. No- - baby!”

The laughter and what could only be described as squeals was what drew May and Harry back out of the kitchen. The two siblings already smiling though they were smiles that grew even wider once they saw the scene in front of them.

“Oh my God!” May snickered, instantly pulling out her phone.

And Harry was already laughing by the time May could hit record. “You’re having a tickle match?”

“It’s torture!” Bobby wheezed, trying his best to grab at Athena’s wrists but she was too fast. “I- I can’t even breathe!”

“You’re talking, baby.” Athena tutted, not even bothering to slow down. “That means you're still breathing.”

Harry let out another laugh. “You’re a firefighter, Bobby! Use your muscles!”

“You don’t think I’m trying?!”

“Admit that you lost your balance and I’ll stop.” Athena raised an eyebrow as one hand moved up toward Bobby’s armpit. “Don’t let me get to your feet, Bobby Nash.”

Bobby’s face dropped then. “You wouldn’t.”

“Try me.”

Though before even more words could be said, another fit of laughter rose up. With May still recording, Harry still cackling and Athena still showing no signs of stopping, the game night had turned from rather tame to absolute chaos in a few minutes.

And it was all because of Athena and her weird competitive streak.

“Baby- - I- I can’t take it anymore! You’re- - this is- - Argh!”

The tears had started to roll down Bobby’s cheeks now, falling into the creases besides his eyes and onto the mat. And when Athena noticed this, another idea floated into her brain.

“Admit you fell.” She whispered before beginning to place random kisses amongst Bobby’s face. Aiming for above his eyebrow, along his jaw and even the tip of his nose. All while her fingers never eased up. “Admit you lost!”

Moving his head from side to side in an attempt to dodge the kisses, Bobby still refused to give in. “Admit you cheated!”

But Athena never let up and continued to smother Bobby’s face with kisses. “I didn’t cheat.”

“You did!”

“Did not!”

“You did!” He gasped this time as he tried even harder to catch his breath. “Now please- - baby, stop!”

Feeling as if she got enough photos and videos, May finally put her phone away. “You’re going to suffocate him, Mom.”

“Death by being tickled.” Harry snorted, sipping on his soda. “Imagine that on your headstone.”

“I won’t need to- - imagine if- ahh okay, okay!”

Athena paused slightly, lifting up her face until she could look into his eyes. “Okay?”

Bobby smiled sleepily as his chest still panted. “Okay. I give.”

“I didn’t cheat?” She raised an eyebrow.

“You didn’t cheat.” Bobby admitted through heavy breaths. “I fell. You didn’t cheat.”

Still looking at her husband rather skeptically, Athena narrowed her eyes. “What are you planning, Nash?”

“Nothing.” He laughed then, shaking his head. “I’m too tired to do anything, baby. You almost killed me, remember?”

“I don’t believe him.” May tilted her head, watching her stepdad intently. “There’s a twinkle in your eye, Bobby.”

“A twinkle?” Bobby chuckled, rubbing Athena’s palm. “There’s no twinkle.”

Athena agreed with her daughter. “There’s definitely a twinkle in those- AH! BOBBY!”

It took Bobby less than five seconds to pounce. Flipping Athena over, straddling her waist and attacking her sides with the same intensity Athena used on him. Bobby’s actions relentless and filled with revenge.

But the laughter that came with it was oh so sweet.

“B-Bobby! Noooo!”

“Not so funny now is it, Sergeant?” Bobby chuckled, digging his fingers into Athena’s stomach and round to her back. Already knowing where the most sensitive spot is.

“You’re- - oh this is evil!” She squealed, trying her best to wiggle out from underneath him.

Letting out another smug smile and low laugh, Bobby just continued. “I’ll let go if you admit you cheated.”

“I- I didn’t cheat!”

“Admit you tickled me.” He demanded with a smile. “Admit you didn’t want to lose.”

Squeezing her eyes shut, Athena refused to give in. “No, sir. I- I was playing fair.”

You didn’t want to lose.” Bobby smirked, stealing a glance at the kids who were watching with even wider smiles on their faces. “Admit it, baby and I’ll stop.”

“You’re insane.”

He shook his head then. “And you’re stubborn.”

“You’re both as bad as each other.” May snorted as she took a couple more photos of the rather sweet moment. “Just call a truce.”

This time both Bobby and Athena answered at the same time. “Never!”

“Well then..” Harry sighed, standing back up. “I guess this is a job for me.”

Crinkling an eyebrow, May watched her brother return to his bedroom before looking back at her parents. Still tickling each other, still acting like dorks and still making her laugh.

“Are you going to admit it?” Bobby asked with a smile, sliding his hand up until it was underneath Athena’s chin. Making sure to tickle her neck.

“Still don’t.. know what you’re.. talking about.” She practically wheezed through her answer, still wiggling like a worm possessed.

“It’s just a game of twister, Mom.” May rolled her eyes with a smile. “Even I knew it wasn’t that serious.”

Unable to answer in anything other than a laugh, Athena just shook her head.

Though before anyone else could comment, Harry had returned back to the living room.

And armed.

“Do you guys call truce?” He asked, watching his parents carefully.

To which they both replied instantly.

“I didn’t.. cheat!”

“You totally did!”

Clearing his throat, Harry just shrugged. “Alright then.”

“Wait- - Harry, what are you- Oh no.”

A rather mischievous laugh escaped him as he revealed the water pistol. Aiming it at both Bobby and Athena before finally, pulling the trigger and letting the cold water free.

The second Bobby felt the harsh water hit his skin, he yelped. Jumping up off of Athena at the same time she clung to him. Curling her hands into Bobby’s shirt as she hid behind him, protecting herself from the cold intrusion.

“Harry Grant!” She called from behind Bobby’s back, trying to mask her amusement with annoyance. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?!”

“Putting an end to this stupid argument.” Harry answered back, still not letting up on the water spray. “And I think it’s working.”

Laughing and dodging the water at the same time, Bobby had both hands him front of him. Trying to block the coldness. “You’re brave, bud, I’ll give you that.”

May’s phone was recording once more. “He’s stupid, Bobby. And so going to be grounded.”

“Damn right he is.” Athena yelped at some of the water hit her shoulder. “Harry, I swear to God!”

“Are you both going to start acting like grown ups?” Harry questioned, his finger still on the trigger.

“Yes!”

“Harry-“

“Answer the question, Mom!” He stepped closer and aimed higher. “Are you going to call truce?”

Feeling the cold run down her back, Athena finally gave in. “Alright, fine! Yes! Truce!”

“Good.” Harry smirked, clearly proud of himself. “Then I’ll stop.”

True to his word, Harry put down the water pistol while Bobby and Athena caught their breath. The pair of them now soaked, though Bobby definitely got the worst of it. T-shirt sticking to his skin as the water droplets ran down his face.

“I can’t believe you just did that.” May snorted, already holding a towel. “And inside the house.”

Shrugging, Harry snatched the towel and dried his hands before passing onto Bobby. “It felt necessary.”

“You know what else feels necessary?” Athena scoffed, yanking the towel from her husband who looked highly amused by her tone. “Your bedtime.”

This got Harry to wipe that smug smile off his face. “What? Seriously?”

“Seriously.” Athena eventually stood, smoothing down her sweater. “Off you go.”

“But Mom-“

“Do you still want your phone in the morning?” She raised an eyebrow, hands on her hips.

Sighing, Harry nodded. “I do.”

“Goodnight then.” Athena walked toward, taking the pistol out of his hands before placing a kiss on his cheek.

Dropping his shoulders, Harry eventually trailed off into the hallway. Leaving May, Bobby and Athena in the living room.

In the next moment, May let out a slight laugh. “Well that was-“

“You think you’re off the hook as well?” Athena turned to her daughter, eyebrows raised.

“I didn’t shoot you guys!”

Athena huffed. “You didn’t exactly stop it either.”

“Would you have?” May shot back, getting a snicker out of Bobby.

“Mop is in the laundry room.” Athena ignored her before throwing the towel down on the coffee table. “Once the floor is dry you can throw that godforsaken game in the trash.”

Rolling her eyes, May just sighed. Knowing better than to argue. “Fine.”

“Leave the dishes-“ Bobby stepped in, ignoring the look from his wife. “I’ll do them in the morning.”

Smiling gently, May nodded. “Thanks.”

“See you in the morning, May.” Bobby blew the young woman a kiss before beginning to make his way into the corridor with Athena close behind. The both of them more than ready to get out of their wet clothes.

Though before they could reach too far, May spoke up.

“Wait- - who won?”

Tilting her head, Athena shrugged. “What do you mean?”

“Game night.” May snorted, pointing to the score board. “Who won?”

“We did.” Bobby told her proudly, getting a slight huff from his wife. “Your Mom cheated, remember?”

Gasping once more, Athena grabbed Bobby by the shirt and began dragging him into the bedroom. Leaving May out in the living room, still laughing before she pulled out her phone.
