Gazerbeam was envious of Gamma Jack.
Not in a bad way. He actually finds Jack amusing although, the reason for his envy was more of the fact that Jack had more…Experience in the bedroom both intimacy and sexually. While he on the other hand never dated anyone or been with anyone. Due to his monotone voice, how blunt he was and his refusal of eye contact, since he could kill someone if he stares for too long.
Though it was also the fact that he seemed a bit too serious for people and supers, all alike.
Not that it mattered but it was the fact that he has zero experience all together. But here he was looking into his coffee mug after he and Gamma Jack had to deal with some weird monster or villain trying to destroy the city.
Yet something was bothering him during today's mission, it was when Gamma Jack saved some random woman. Usually Gamma Jack would go out with them on a date or something, maybe ask for a kiss. Yet the lady refused and apologised, which he was expecting from Jack to at least beg or at persuade her. Instead he watched Jack smile and nod as if he understood when she meant.
It was strange. Since if he remembered correctly in Jack’s own words. “No one can ever refuse Gamma Jack, after all I am a sex icon”
So why didn’t he bargain,beg or as much as he hates to say this…Why didn’t he call her crude names?
“Hey four eyes, what’s got you in the dumps?” Gamma Jack spoke.
Gazerbeam looked at him for a moment before shrugging a bit as he went to drink his coffee. “I don’t know, just tired…”
He heard a soft hum from Gamma Jack and he chuckled. “Is it about that dame that refused to go out with me?”He asked.
That startled him making him inhale his drink before leaning over a bit coughing a bit, seemingly caught off guard that Jack--
“You do a cute thing whenever you lean back in your chair and you sit with your ankles crossed. It shows me your thinking which tells me you want to ease your apprehensions and also the fact you tend to tap your fingers against the mug which indicates that your thinking of something.”Gamma Jack pointed out.
Gazerbeam looked at him dumbfounded for a moment as Gamma Jack went back to drinking his milkshake calmly. "How--"
Gamma Jack sighed as set his drink down, stirring his straw in his milkshake."GB, look I'm not stupid. Damn why does everyone keep forgetting that! Listen I know I'm reckless but sometimes I map things in my head so sometimes the outcome is dire so I just risk it."
Okay that was new information, but it wasn't the point. "That's not what…never mind, look why didn't you just I don't know…That lady you saved…I couldn't help but wonder why you didn’t persuade her" Gazerbeam asked him.
It was something he wanted to know, though he watched as Gamma Jack sighed a bit. Leaning forward, smiling a bit as he pushed his milkshake on the side. "Cause I'm not a rutting horn dog, I don't fuck every dame that comes my way. Besides I ask, you do know that right? Consent is important to me. I don't do things that make others uncomfortable, "He added.
Gazerbeam seemed surprised by what he was hearing. Gamma Jack and consent!? In the same sentence!? It seemed to be unbelievable but…He looked directly into his coffee. And automatically his fingers started to tap against the mug a bit, his head buzzing for a moment.
He wasn't sure but he looked up at Gamma Jack for a moment and froze seeing that Jack was studying him which made him stop tapping his fingers against the mug, but his pulse picked up even more, and his legs started to jitter for a moment with nerves.
It was stupid what he was thinking and--
"Are you a virgin Simon?"
Gazerbeam breath caught his throat, he looked at Gamma Jack with embarrassment as he looked down. He could feel his whole body slowly turn red, from shame. He just gripped his mug in his hands, flushed. His face felt too warm: he wanted to crawl underneath the table. He was waiting for Jack to laugh at him but instead he felt his cup being pulled away as he looked over at Jack, watching him set his coffee aside.
The feeling that Jack was looking at him, studying his body language made him sigh as he muttered underneath his breath, about something but Gazerbeam didn't even bother wanting to know what he was talking though he felt Jack take his hand into his own.
“Okay, Listen specs…I’ll be your first but ground rules. I won’t do anything that’ll make you uncomfortable, you can say no right now and I'll forget this ever happened.”Gamma Jack explained.
“Wh--What?”Gazerbeam stuttered, perplexed, his face even more red.
The next thing he knows is he watched as Gamma Jack carefully took his hand and pressed his lips against his knuckles staring at him, making Gazerbeam's heart skip a beat or two. All the blood rushing to his face was making him dizzy but also he swooned a bit when Jack did that to him.
Which he pulled his hand away quickly from Jack's though he can still feel his lips lingering on his hand. "I--I…Jack…I--"he stammered.
He watched as Jack raised his hands up slightly shrugging. "I'm just saying, You don't have to agree to this Paladino. It's your body, your choice. I won't do anything that'll make you uncomfortable, "he explained.
Gazerbeam felt his throat dry up a bit waiting for Gamma Jack to just back track or at least tell him he was joking.
Yet that never happened.
The tip of his ears were burning as he watched Jack look at him with a calm expression waiting for his answer, he wasn’t even urging him to hurry up. Instead he was waiting for his answer, a response of some sorts.
“M--Maybe…”he whispered in a hushed voice.
“Maybe as in ‘You want me to fuck you?’ Or maybe as in ‘You don’t want this?”Gamma Jack stated.
Gazerbeam felt like dying when that came out of Jack’s mouth, he felt he couldn’t get even more redder then he already is. He just quickly ducked his head a bit. “I–”
“Again, you don’t have to agree to this…”Jack explained.
It was nerve wrecking, but he took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly. As his fingers tapped softly on the table. Yet he glanced over at Gamma Jack, yet he sighed softly.
”I…Want this…”he told him.
As he said that, he noticed that Jack stared at him for a moment thinking for a moment and what he saw made his heart flutter a bit seeing a devilish smile on Jack’s face but it seemed kind and understanding as well.
“Alright, but the offer still stands, you can back out at any given moment”He repeated.
Gazerbeam nodded as he slowly reached to get his coffee mug back, trying to hide himself behind it but watched as Jack smiled at him. “I--I know…”he whispered softly.
“Good, since you know consent is everything. I don’t want to force you”Jack added.
This is how Gazerbeam is going to die. Though he had to back pedal for a moment since…” Wait…I thought you were–”
“I like guys too, Paladino” Gamma Jack sighed as he went to drink his milkshake.
That was surprising though, he watched as Jack took one of the napkins and started writing something down before handing it over to him. “Here’s my address and number, come around whenever you want to, okay. Again like I’d said, you don’t have to do this specs.”

Jack watched how flushed Gazerbeam looked, at the napkin with his number and address before he looked away quickly not wanting to destroy it.
Again he didn’t want to push Gazer, to do something that he wasn’t comfortable with, he was giving him the choice here. He could back out at any given moment, though seeing how tense and nervous he was, it was clear that he WANTED to do this.
“Can we do it t-today?”Gazerbeam whispered, hiding how flustered he was.
Jack glanced at the clock on the diner’s wall making a mental note of the time before looking over at Gazer. “Like right now?”he asked.
When he mentioned that, automatically Gazerbeam started rambling, trying to change the topic, apologising saying that he could be busy. Honestly Jack didn’t think that Gazerbeam would panic like this: He was waiting for a yes or no answer.
Jack sighed as he reached his hand out, taking Gazer’s hand into his own. “Relax, I didn’t mean to stress you out. Look, we can do it today, I’m free, I have nothing on my schedule. Though Si, let me be real with you. You don’t have to force yourself to do this. You do know that right?”
Jack watched as Gazerbeam swallowed nervously though he nodded, which Jack gave his hand a reassuring squeeze. “Good, just a reminder I’ll be gentle with you. Since this is your first time.”
Of course he watched as Gazer seemed to be thinking once again, before he finally asked him.“Jack…H--How did you know I was a virgin…”
Fuck he was adorable. "GB, you exhibit signs of nervousness and shyness. You also avoid eye contact which yes I know your powers but your also blushing when I brought the topic of sex to you, as you looked away from me trying to find something else like your coffee for example. Also you're also overthinking and worrying about how it'll go."he stated.
As he mentioned that he spotted how red GB was, again it was adorable. How can someone like Simon be so cute and handsome!? "Listen, I'm not shaming nor judging. You're new to this and we have no need to hurry."he explained.
Though Jack must admit one thing, it was such a shame that someone as handsome as Gazerbeam, Simon Paladino, would still be a virgin.
Again he'd given Simon an open line to turn back so he doesn't have to worry too much. He may have experience but still he'll make sure to keep it at Simon's pace and establish an open line of communication with him. Although he finished his milkshake, yet he glanced over at Simon seeing how nervous he was, which cursed Jack's heart and had to take pity on him.
So he sighed a bit, catching Simon's attention. "Look, I'm gonna head home. You can come with me and everything or like I explained. You don't have to do this and--"
"Please…Just…I want to…"Simon mumbled a bit, still flushed.
Jack tilted his head down a bit before leaving the booth as he reached for Simon's hand holding it gently. "Come, let's go, after all we both have a day off tomorrow." he hinted.
As he said that he watched Simon try to hide his face, which again was adorable but took Jack's hand as they left the diner together. Jack was going to make sure that Simon's first time would be comfortable. Besides he knows how jealous that Simon was of him, not that he can blame him but he wasn't going to embarrass him more than he already was. Though the one thing that Jackson can admit is that...
He's nervous too.
