Swapping Bodies!?

Summary:

Becky and Damian swapping bodies for a day.

Chapter 1: A Confess

Notes:

•IMPORTANT NOTE•

This was my first fic written in a different language.

Because I wrote the first few chapters of this series in a "clumsy" way, they contain errors, unclear points, and grammar mistakes. And it has bad text layout 🥹 But trust me, they become even more readable afterward, so give it a try 🙏 If you want, you can also look at my new series instead, because it is better in my opinion.

Chapter Text

Becky walked down the hallway, covering a yawn with her hand. She had stayed up way too late last night just to finish the latest episode of her favorite series. It had been so thrilling that she couldn’t think about anything else all morning. She could barely wait to tell Anya all about it.

At the same time, Damian and his friends were racing through the corridor. They had overslept again, rushing to make it before the bell. Damian had been up late studying history, so he didn’t even hear his alarm. And, as usual, Ewen and Emile—utterly dependent on him—didn’t wake up either.

Just as the boys turned the corner—

Becky suddenly appeared right in front of them. Damian couldn’t stop in time.

Crash!

The two collided hard and rolled across the floor in a heap.

— Boss man, are you okay!?

Ewen and Emile froze, staring wide-eyed at the pile of tangled limbs. Becky groaned, clutching her head.

SMALL NOTE

This is where the body swap happens.

From now on, the names are based on appearance, not mind.

So:

If it says Damian, it means Becky in Damian’s body.

If it says Becky, it means Damian in Becky’s body.

— Yes, I’m fine… it’s just… my head… ouch…

Becky winced and rubbed her forehead. But then, her fingers brushed against something strange.

— Huh? What’s this?

She blinked. A hat? Wait—why was she even wearing that?

— Wait, WHAT!? YOU!?

Damian stared back at her with utter shock.

— Why do you look like me!?

Both froze. Their eyes locked in mutual disbelief while Ewen and Emile glanced between them, completely lost.

— What happened to me!? What is this uniform!?

Becky looked down and gasped. A girl’s uniform! Definitely not what he remembered putting on this morning.

— Our bodies have changed! Damian yelled.

— What!? But how!? NO!

— Did it happen when we collided!?

— Who cares! Give me back MY body!

— I don’t want to be in this body either! But I don’t know how to fix this! If I could, I would!

— Class is about to start! What do we even do!?

Ewen frowned, rubbing his chin.

— If it happened when you collided…

Damian and Becky both turned to him at once.

— What? You’ve got an idea? Then hurry up and say it, because I’m losing my mind here!

— Well, it’s weird… but maybe if you, uh, collide again, it’ll switch you back?

Emile nodded fast.

— I saw it in a movie once! It might actually work!

Damian glared.

— You serious!? You’re basing this on a movie!? We need a real solution!

Ewen and Emile flinched. Damian never shouted like that. Yep… that definitely wasn’t Damian in there.

Becky straightened up.

— Movie logic or not, we’re trying it!

— What!? You’re serious!? We’re just gonna crash again!?

— Yes!

— Huh!? For real!?

— Ewen, get behind me! Emile, you get behind her—no, him! Ugh, this is confusing! Just get behind Damian! Count to three and push us!

— Uh, okay…

Damian sighed.

— Wait, I didn’t agree to this!

Becky shot him a sharp look.

— You got a better idea!?

— Pff… fine. But don’t push too hard! My forehead still hurts from last time!

Emile moved behind Becky and Ewen behind Damian. They started counting.

— If you’re ready… three… two… one…!

They shoved the two toward each other—

Crash!

Another collision. Both stumbled back, clutching their heads.

— Did it work!?

Damian shouted.

— No, it didn’t! I told you! Your dumb movie idea was useless!

— Ugh! Stop yelling!

— No, YOU stop!

Emile shrugged.

— I’m sure it’ll be fine. Maybe it’s not even that bad, you know?

He smirked.

Becky frowned.

— Huh? Why are you smiling like that?

Emile leaned close, whispering something sneaky into Becky’s ear. Ewen joined in, grinning like a pair of mischievous cats.

Damian scowled.

— Hey! What are you guys whispering about!? You’d better not try anything stupid!

Emile chuckled.

— Think about it! With this body, we can totally prank that commoner girl! Imagine her face when her “friend” teases her! She’ll never suspect it’s actually you! Even if Damian—that ugly girl in your body—tells her, she won’t believe it!

— You’re a genius, Emile! We’ll finally put that girl in her place!

Becky’s smile faded. He didn’t like this plan one bit. It felt… cruel.

Damian snapped.

— Wait, what are you guys talking about!? That girl… Are you talking about Anya!? What are you planning to do!?

Emile grinned wider.

— No point hiding it! We’ll use you to make her cry! And you won’t be able to stop us!

Damian’s eyes widened.

What!? Those jerks! Anya’s going to be so upset! I’ve got to stop them!

Then, a spark of inspiration hit him. Something daring. Something straight out of the show he’d watched last night. All he needed was to tell Anya somehow—

And then, he saw her.

Just beyond the laughing boys, down the hall, stood Anya, watching everything.

Anya’s here!? Since when!? Did she hear all of that!?

Anya had seen it all—and heard every word of their plan. She glanced at Damian and gave a tiny, knowing nod.

Damian smirked.

She knows! Now their prank won’t work! I’ll turn the tables! This’ll be perfect!

Emile suddenly noticed her.

— There she is! Hey, stubby legs! Your friend’s got something to say to you!

Ewen gave Becky a shove forward.

— Go on, tell her!

Emile winked, grinning.

Becky hesitated. She didn’t want to do this, but what else could she do? Maybe she could play along a little… then tell the truth.

She stepped forward. Anya stood just a few feet away—completely calm. She already knew.

But before Becky could speak—

— Anya Chan!

Damian’s voice thundered through the hall.

Every student froze. The bell was about to ring, but now everyone was staring.

What’s going on? Are they fighting again?

He called her by her name!? That’s new!

What’s he gonna say?

The corridor buzzed with whispers.

Mr. Henry, standing nearby, frowned.

They’d better not cause trouble again… If a fight breaks out, I have to stop it.

Becky, Ewen, and Emile turned to Damian, stunned.

— Hey, what are you doing!? Becky hissed.

Damian faced Anya, eyes blazing with determination.

— Actually, I’m the one who has something to say! Anya Chan!

Becky whispered urgently.

— What are you doing!? Everyone’s watching!

Damian ignored her.

— I know it’s sudden, but… I have to say it! Something I’ve wanted to say since the beginning of school!

— Stop it! Becky snapped.

Anya blinked, reading his thoughts.

It’s just like that scene from the show! Big audience, beating heart… I can do this! When I say it, it’ll be so dramatic!

Damian drew a deep breath.

His voice echoed louder than ever.

— Anya Chan, actually… I HAVE FEELINGS FOR YOU!

Silence.

The entire hallway froze.

Dozens of students stared between Damian and Anya, mouths open.

Then—

Damian Desmond? Feelings? For Anya Forger?

The girl who punched him!?

HUH!?
