Chapter Text

Diluc POV

Diluc had his doubts when a certain famous outrider came into his bar yelping about his brother “disappearing”. Because Kaeya doesn’t just “disappear” without leaving a trace. The man always strings people along to clean up his mess, so it couldn’t be any different this time.

There was a time way back when Kaeya used to run off as a result of being nothing but a scared little kid. Getting lost in Wolvendom when he decided to pick lamp grass for their father. But his brother was no longer the same person as before, so the outrider girl’s worry had no effect on him. Kaeya would most likely come back the same day, if he knew any better.

But it had been three days since the girl had gone looking for his help, and now it’s been almost a week with his brother gone from Mondstadt. It was annoying, really, to think the man would just scurry off to probably prance around Teyvat and leave everything to the people around him. And on the stupid Knights vacation…it made no sense. But then again, Kaeya never made any sense to Diluc.

The man had left Jean concerned, Lisa suspicious, and Amber frazzled. Klee was no better, bothering everyone in sight to hear if they’d seen Kaeya or not. This is truly what he despised about his brother, how he actively made problems for those surrounding him.

Diluc had started to clean the glasses lined up and left by patrons who had packed up for the night. Angels Share had a rather pleasant atmosphere to it, conversations molding into a nice buzz.

Once midnight came closer, the bartender decided to kick out the last of the drunk stragglers. If there was one thing other than his brother he couldn’t stand, it was drunks that had no passion other than drinking themselves to death.

It’s been a long night, the bartender thinks as he shuts off the lights in Angels Share.
