Believing himself to be a Decepticon double agent, Mirage sabotages Prowl by destroying an important component.
That component was Prowl's morality core.
Now unrestrained by ethics, and believing the Autobots have betrayed him, Prowl is very angry indeed. But poison gas is only the first of Mirage's problems, since everyone else in the compound thinks he's a traitor... and he's only mostly sure that he isn't.
