Chapter Text
The heavy mahogany door of the student council room opens with a slight creak as Lee Heeseung enters the room, effectively pulling Park Sunghoon and Park Jay from their conversation.
The two alphas watch Heeseung approach the large mahogany refectory table they’re sitting at, with curious eyebrows lifted. Heeseung only smirks as he slaps two thin manila folders down onto the table.
“Things are about to get a lot more interesting around here, boys.” He states, his eyes gesturing to the manila folders.
“How vague and intriguing.” Jay muses. He grabs a manila folder and opens it. His eyes landing on a picture of a boy with cat-like features. There’s a resume of sorts attached to the picture, but barely any information is listed on the document.
Sunghoon does the same with the other manila folder. His eyes landing on a picture of a boy with fox-like features.
“What, or rather whom, am I looking at?” Sunghoon questions. The fox-like boy in the picture is clearly an omega, considering his softer, more feminine features. He’s beautiful, Sunghoon will admit, but generally, all omegas are.
“That is Kim Sunoo.” Heeseung details, pointing at the manila envelope in Sunghoon’s hand. “And that is Yang Jungwon.” He further notes while gesturing to the manila envelope in Jay’s hand. “They start their senior year here, at St. Thomas, tomorrow.”
Jay raises an eyebrow at that. “Transferring schools when you only have one more year to complete? What or who are they running from?” He asks that last question rhetorically and jokingly, but Heeseung looks at him with a serious expression.
“That’s the thing, when I found out they were transferring here, I had my private investigator look into them. He didn’t come up with much. It’s almost like they don’t even exist. The only information the PI was able to find is on that sheet of paper in the folder.”
Jay looks down at the document again and notes there’s only basic information listed on it, like birthdate, height, weight, blood type, hair color, eye color, gender, and sub gender. There’s no information listed regarding where the omega originated from, nor what pack he belongs to.
“Why do you care about a couple of transfer students?” Sunghoon questions, his tone sounding incredibly bored. “People come and go from this place all the time.”
Heeseung rolls his eyes. “Knowledge is power, Sunghoon. Knowing an enemy's weakness can become your greatest strength. Also, I find it very fucking intriguing that my highly skilled PI couldn’t find any information on them.”
“We should keep an eye on them.” Jay concedes. “Just in case. We have no idea who’s walking into those front doors tomorrow because we have no information on these transfer students.”
“Exactly.” Heeseung agrees.
Sunghoon is still unsure. “They’re two omegas, I highly doubt they’ll cause any trouble.”
“It’s not about causing trouble.” Heeseung concludes. “It’s about keeping order around here and ensuring the Holy Trinity remains untouchable.”
“I’ve always hated that moniker.” Sunghoon huffs. “But I can see where you’re coming from. It was getting boring around here anyway, so why not?”
“That’s more like it. I was concerned your alpha was getting too impassive, Sunghoon.” Heeseung taunts jokingly. Sunghoon only smirks before giving Heeseung the middle finger.
“Wait a minute, how are we going to suss out these omegas?” Jay wonders. “Omegas and alphas are kept separate and aren’t allowed to mingle during school hours.”
All three of them think the school’s decision to separate the sub-genders is old-school and ridiculous. The school claims that separating everyone will ensure that students can focus on their studies, but in reality, omegas are kept separated from everyone else in an attempt to suppress them. They often aren’t allowed to take the same classes as the alphas, and they are not allowed to mingle with alphas during school hours to ensure alpha students aren’t swayed by omegas’ temptingness. The separation also ensures alphas remain at the top of the food chain, as they receive a higher quality education.
The school’s policy is sexist and demeaning, sure, but as with everything in life, there are loopholes if you look hard enough.
“Well, considering you two are bitch-less,” Heeseung starts, he pointedly looks at Sunghoon and Jay, “it looks like my omega will need to step in and do some recon for us.”
At that, Sim Jake enters the student council room. The school is eerily quiet, which makes sense, considering the new school year hasn’t started yet.
Jake gets guided over to the seat his alpha was just sitting in and is told to sit. The omega obliges without hesitation and bows to Jay and Sunghoon, slightly, in greeting.
Heeseung grabs the two manila folders and places them in front of Jake, ensuring they are both open to reveal the pictures inside.
“Baby.” Heeseung begins. He places a tender, yet possessive hand at the nape of Jake’s neck as he stands beside the chair Jake is sitting on. “We need you to do us a favor.”
Jake nods to show he’s listening. “Find out everything you can about these two omegas. Get close to them, make them reveal their secrets, and above all else, make sure they understand who’s in charge around here.”
“Yes, alpha.” Jake concedes quickly.
Heeseung smiles before saying, “That’s a good boy.” He places an affectionate hand in Jake’s hair, practically petting him.
Jake looks down at the pictures of Sunoo and Jungwon and attempts to conceal his smug smirk. These alphas have no idea what’s in store for them.
