Summary
Wilson is left with two options- either his desperate, pathetic, years-long infatuation with his best friend has led him to develop a disease that appears to be magical in origin, or it’s finally caused him to go completely insane.
Whichever is true, one thing is certain: House cannot know about this.
(s8 rewrite- wilson gets sick when house comes back from prison and has to find a way to save himself without house figuring out why he’s sick, or that he’s in love with him, and also that magic may or may not be real.)

so fucking beautiful. i so love the concept of magical hanahaki that doesnt show up on anything and disappears, w wilson thinkjng hes hallucinating when House breaks in to help see wtf is going on, MMMMMMM I so love how they kept talking seriously while cracking n shkt and I so love crying from so many emotions (mostly happy ones but sad ones do matter too!!!) MMMMMM and ofc there has to be a drugging incident w house fics and series but my gosh so good, the fucking writing was incredible and I wish I was the person from an hour ago when I started this masterpiece
Tiny diamonds glimmer at the edges of House’s lashes to adorn the flush high in his cheeks, and Wilson knows it’s not real, that it’s all just in his head- just a manifestation of his most selfish, covetous desires come to life. But at the same time, he can’t help but feel it everywhere, turning in his stomach and thrumming in his veins. The most alive he he’s been in months at the mere idea that House could feel the same as him; that the emptiness that gnaws at Wilson could have a mirror. That House could need in the way that Wilson does. That even without each other, they would still share an awful ache, a lingering pain that ties them together.
