Valentine's day confusion

Summary:

it's the first valentines day after the darkest year, an apocalyptic style disaster from the abuse of eternatus's power, the hero who fell from the sky to save the day, cream, is learning how galar usually works when not at the threat of giant dynamax pokemon, including how valentines day works. go through theirs and marnies day as they both try to make sure everything goes smoothly for their partner! piers helps his sisters strange partner who helped save the world as best he can, even if they do unnerve him sometimes.

the first chapter is short i know, but i'm still learning ao3 stuff and if this isn't a chapter fic yet it's because i've failed to figure it out. the whole fic is finished but if it's not fully posted by the time you read this, it means i had to stop halfway through adding the chapters for some reason and i'll likely finish adding them shortly! enjoy the fic

Chapter 1

Valentine's day was coming up, Marnie didn't have much experience celebrating it. Sure she'd get her brother something to say thanks for all the help but in terms of the romantic department... She was clueless, last valentine's day the world was ending with no hope in sight, before that she just didn't have anyone. But... Now she has cream, cream who might not even know what valentine's is considering. That's it! She was going to do something for them, they saved galar, and in the months after they have gotten quite closer, who knew the most romantic thing could be the end of the world? She had to think of something to do for them, something they would appreciate- but what do you get the hero who fell from the sky? Usual romantic gestures fly over their head more often than not, so she couldn't just get flowers or chocolates. No, she'd have to think of something bigger and more personal, cream deserved it! But what could she?... Oh! That's it! The perfect gift for them! She'd need help but she knew team yell would be glad to aid her, now just to keep it a secret from cream, it wouldn't be a surprise if they knew after all. And she knew they'd want to help anyway if they found out, so she'd have to stress the secrecy of this to team yell, in the end though, she couldn't help but think...
