Scene: Hawk Moth's lair.
Nooroo: Many centuries ago, magic jewels bestowing extraordinary powers were created. These were the Miraculous. Throughout history, heroes have used these jewels for the good of the human race. Two of these Miraculous are more powerful than the others; the earrings of the Coccielle, which provide the power of creation; and the ring of the Black Cat, which grants the power of destruction. According to legend, whoever controls both these jewels at the same time will achieve absolute power.
Male voice: I want that absolute power, Nooroo. I must have those Miraculous!
Nooroo: But nobody knows where these Miraculous are!
Male voice: I found you though, my little Nooroo. Your Miraculous... remind me of its powers again.
Nooroo: The Moth Brooch allows you to give someone their own superpowers and to make that person your devoted follower!
Male voice: And when it comes to luring superheroes, what could be better than creating supervillains?
Nooroo: But master, the Miraculous are not meant to be used for evil purposes!
Male voice: I must have this absolute power! Your Miraculous is in my control! (pointing at Nooroo causing him to stun) I am your master now, and you must obey me.
Nooroo: (lowering his head sadly) Yes, master.
Male voice: (puts on the brooch) Nooroo, dark wings rise! (Nooroo enters the broach and the male voice transforms into Hawk Moth) From this day on, I shall be known as... Hawk Moth! (He laughs evilly)
Scene: Fu's massage shop. Wayzz wakes up and senses something is wrong. He flies over to Wang Fu who is occupied with a patient.
Wayzz: Master, Master! (customer hears Wayzz, looks up)
Wang Fu: Master, master. Chanting, it's all part of the treatment. Master, master. (begins pushing customer out door) Thank you for coming, see you again next week!(He tuns to Wayzz) What is it Wayzz?
Wayzz: Master, the Moth Miraculous, I felt its aura.
Wang Fu: I thought it had been lost forever! (genuine shook on his face)
Wayzz: But Master, it's a negative aura. I fear it may have gotten into the hands of a dark power!
Wang Fu: We must find Nooroo and his Miraculous. If it has gotten into the wrong hands, there's no telling what evil will come upon the world! (shows his Miraculous) Time to transform! Wayzz... (doubles over in pain)
Wayzz: Please, Master. Be reasonable. You are– (He is looking at Wang Fu with a sad face)
Wang Fu: Still young! I'm only 186. But you're right, Wayzz. I can no longer do it alone. We'll need some help. (opens the gramophone, revealing the Miraculous box. He takes out the ring and earrings from it.) I hope the two of them are enough, we can’t let more go away.
Scene: On The Liberty, at the Couffaine’s twins bedcoutures. Luka is sitting on his bed while he waits for his sister, tuning a lyre that he has in his lap. His sister, Juleka, steps back into the room.
Juleka: Thanks again Luka for staying behind a year with me, I really appreciate it. I don’t think I could just manage with only knowing Rose in my class. (She looks sad when looking at her brother)
Luka: It’s nothing, I really did not have the best year last year, so it would be good for me to take the year again.(Looks sadly as he remembers) Hopefully this year will be better for both of us. Right? (he looks up at her, smiling)
Juleka: I hope so, but I promised Rose I would take the bus with her, so is it okay that you take the scooter alone to school?
Luka: That is no problem at all, more time away from you is always good.(He is sarcastic, and Juleka knows it. She still throws her pillow at him) Hei, I was just being honest! (She throws one of his shirts on him)
Juleka: If that was true you would move to Brazil and leave me behind, but you don't so now you are just a filthy liar. (Luka fake looking being hurt. Juleka smilis.) As they say, you live long enough to see you become what you hate.
(Luka just shakes his head, he really wishes she had this confidence when she was talking to anyone but him. Even their mother did not see this side of her. He stands up, laying the lyre on the bed before he throws his shirt on Juleka as revenge)
Luka: Rude.(he says smiling) But maybe you should go to the bus soon, as that takes longer than the scooter. (Juleka starts to leave.) Maybe take some of the breakfast mom made for us with you to share with Rose on the ride, I know she made extra just for her in case. (Juleka looks happy, nods before leaving. Luka smiles at her, before he walks to the kitchen. He eats at home alone. As he is leaving the boat his mother shouts at him to have a good day at school. He waves back before getting on his scooter.)
Scene: Luka is waiting on a green light at a crossroad. Some cars are honking as they wait. Wang Fu with his cane starts to walk over the crossroads as the light turns yellow, and cars start moving. Luka sees this, moves his scooter to the side of the road, not having time to set it properly it falls over. He runs to grab Wang Fu, stoping him in time form getting hit by the car moving towards them.
Wang Fu: Ohh my, my eyes are not what they used to be. (he looks at Luka) Thank you young man. (he looks at the scooter, now with some scratches on it) I am so sorry that happened to your scooter.
Luka: It’s fine sir, it's just some scratches, I can fix those later, but you should pay more attention to your surroundings. (panics sitt in on Lukas face) I also need to pay more attention, sorry sir, but i have to get to school.
(Luka jumps to his scooter, sets it up and starts to drive to school. Wang Fu looks as Luka drives off. He then looks down on the black box with red marks on it. He puts the box in his pocket before he walks away with his cane beneath his arm.
Scene: Collège Françoise Dupont. Luka parks on parking, before sprinting to class. He gets in and catches his breath before he looks for an empty seat.
Marinette stumbles into the classroom, trying to play it off. The teacher starts to help with seating.
Caline: Nino, Why don't you have a seat in the front row this year? Luka and Marinette, there is more seats empty on this side of the classroom. (she points to the left of the room. Both sit down on the first row.
Chloé: Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
Marinette: Ugh. Here we go again.
Chloé: That's my seat.
Marinette: But Chloé, this has always been my seat.
Sabrina: Not anymore! New school, new year, new seats!
Chloé: So why don't you just go and sit beside that new girl over there? (points at Alya) and you! (looking at Luka) You should also move, i need the other for…
Marinette: But… (interrupting Chloe)
Chloe: Listen. Adrien's arriving today and since that's going to be his seat, this is going to be my seat. Get it?
Marinette: Who's Adrien? (Luka looks at the commotion, wondering if he should say something)
Chloé: (she and Sabrina laugh) Can you believe she doesn't know who Adrien is? What rock have you been living under?
Sabrina: He's only a famous model.
Chloé: And I am his best friend. He adores me. Go on, move!
Alya: Hey! Who elected you Queen of Seats?
Chloé: Oh. Look, Sabrina! We've got a little do-gooder in our class this year. What are you gonna do, super newbie? Shoot beams at me with your glasses?
Alya: Wouldn't you like to know? (walks away and grabs Marinette and Luka by the hand) Come on.
Marinette: (trips and falls, spilling all of the macaron, Luka manages to save some of them as he is walking behind her) Sorry, sorry, sorry. (looks down at Luka) Thank you. (as Luka places the three he catched. He ends up sitting with a redheaded boy as his seating partner. Introducing him to him, the boy's name is Nathaniel.)
Miss Bustier: Alright, has everyone found a seat?
Alya: Chillax, girl. No biggie.(Marinette looks a little stressed)
Marinette: I so wish I can handle Chloé the way you do.
Alya: You mean the way Majestia does it. (shows her a picture of Majestia on her phone) She says all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing. (pointing at Chloé) Well, that girl over there is evil, and we are the good people. We can't let her get away with it. (Lukas is looking confused at them, it was a little harsh to call her evil over the sitting arrangement. But it looks like Marinette and Chloé have history.)
Marinette: Well, that's easier said than done. She likes to make my life miserable.
Alya: That's cause you let her, girl! You just need more confidence!
Marinette: (grabs a macaron from the box and gives one to Alya and Luka) Marinette.
Alya: Alya.
Luka: Luka
Scene: Outside the school. Adrien is about to enter the school but Nathalie tries to make him change his mind.
Nathalie: Adrien, please reconsider! You know what your father wants!
Adrien: But, this is what I wanna do! (sees Wang Fu on the ground, with his cane a little way from him, looking like he just has fallen. He runs to help him up)
Wang Fu: Thank you, young man.
Adrien:(looking back at Nathalie) I just wanna go to school like everybody else. What's so wrong with that? Please don't tell my father about all this.
(Adrien looks down and follows them as they get in the car and leave as Fu watches them with a smile as he looks down on a new, but similar box. Then he leaves as he starts whistling.)
Scene: Miss Bustier's classroom.
Miss Bustier: Those of you who have P.E., Mr. D'Argencourt is expecting you at the stadium. The rest of you can head over to the library.
(Ivan is seen getting a note from Kim as he leaves with his sport bag. He reads the note, first become red with embarrassment, before looking very angry)
Ivan: Kim!
Miss Bustier: Ivan, what is going on?
Ivan: It's Kim! I'm so gonna get…(He tries to stop himself, but he ends up punishing the desk. Luka and Natahniel jumps up scared, which then scares Mylène also. She ends up running outside of the classroom crying)
Miss Bustier: Ivan, go to the principal's office.
(Ivan crumbles the paper note and walks away angrily.)
Scene: Hawk Moth's Lair. The window opens.
Hawk Moth: Negative emotions. This is perfect. Just what I need. Anger, sadness... Burn a hole into his heart, my horrible akuma. Make him my supervillain! (turns a butterfly into an akuma which is a dark purple butterfly with neon purple energy around it) Fly away, my little akuma, and evilize him!
Scene: Principal's office. Ivan opens the door in anger without knocking.
Denis Damoclès: Excuse me, young man. Hasn't anyone ever taught you to knock? Go on. Out you go, try it again! Go on, knock.
(Ivan closed the door in confusion. The akuma flies into the paper wad in Ivan's hand.)
Hawk Moth: Stoneheart, I am Hawk Moth. I give you the power to seek revenge on those who have wronged you.
Ivan: (in a dream like stated, staring to feel the akuma magic heighten his anger even more) Okay, Hawk Moth. (turns into Stoneheart)
Denis Damoclès: Well, come on in.
(Stoneheart kicks the door, breaks it and enters.)
Stoneheart: KIMMM!!!
Scene: Library. Marinette, Alya, Nathaniel and Luka sit and study together. Suddenly the four of them are thrown onto the floor. Stoneheart is seen through the security camera.
Alya: Come on! We should follow it!(pure glee on her face, the other looks at her like she is crazy)
Student: Did you hear that?
Stoneheart: KIMMM!!!
Denis Damoclès: Hello? Is this the police? Get me the army!
Marinette: Wh-what's going on? He had Ivan's voice?
Alya: It's as if he's been transformed into a real-life supervillain! GPS, check. Battery, check. I am so outta here! (her face is so full of glee)
Luka: Hey! Where are you going! It would be dangerous to be outside when this monster is destroying the city (his face full of worry)
Alya: Where there's a supervillain, there's always a superhero close behind! No way I'm missing this! (She runs after Stoneheart)
(Marinette looks back at the security camera screen. She sees Stoneheart pick up a car and throw it at the security camera. breaking it and showing a rainbow error screen)
Stoneheart: KIMMM! (The three student left winces)
Nathaniel: I am not following that one, I do not have an active death wish. Are you guys coming or? (he is taking with him his art tools)
Luka: We are coming. (he grabs Marinette's hand and pools her with him as the three of them run off screen)
Scene: Agreste mansion. Wang Fu is outside with a little box. Adrien on the other hand is sitting in the kitchen being homeschooled by Nathalie.
Nathalie: Who was the first president of the 5th French Republic?
Adrien: Everyone thinks it was de Gaulle, but it was actually René Coty before the first elections.
Nathalie: Excellent, Adrien.
Gabriel: Give me a minute, would you, Nathalie?
Nathalie: Yes sir.
Gabriel: (to Adrien) You are NOT going to school. I've already told you.
Adrien: But Father…(Looking upset)
Gabriel: Everything you need is right here where I can keep an eye on you. I will not have you outside in that dangerous world.
Adrien: It's not dangerous, Father. I'm always stuck in here by myself. Why can't I go out and make friends just like everybody else? (He looks more angry now)
Gabriel: Because you are not like everyone else! You are my son! Continue.
Nathalie: We can leave it there for today if you have– (Adrien runs away)
Scene: Adrien's room. Adrien is lying in his bed with his head buried in his pillow quietly screaming into it. He hears some thumping, which makes him stop screaming and goes to the windows to see Stoneheart walking past. Closer to stoneheart the police blockade the road aiming their pistols preparing to fire at Stoneheart.
Roger: Ready? Fire! (The police fires at Stoneheart, but he gets bigger. The police disburse as Roger dashes away as Stoneheart picks up a police van hurling at him.)
Stoneheart: KIM!
(Adrien runs over the sofa and turns on his TV with the remote. The news about Stoneheart is all over the screen)
André: I'm asking all Parisians to stay home until this situation is under control. We have the Police on the case as we speak now. Please for your own safety! STAY! HOME!
News Crews: Mr Bourgeois. Mr Bourgeois! Mayor! Mister Mayor!
Nadja: As incredible as it seems, it's been confirmed that Paris is indeed being attacked by a supervillain. As there is no way there is another possible explanation to this. The police have been struggling to keep the situation under control. Any statement from the police force on this?
Roger: Be confident, the strong arm of the law will come crashing down on the... I mean, the other arm. (Nadja is shown with concern on her face)
Scene: As Luka, Marinette and Nathaniel run away from the school. Luka jumps on his scooter.
Nathaniel: I live close by, I can run home, same can Marinette, but what about you Luka?
Luka: I don't live far from her, and I need to see if Juleka is home. She most likely will need me after this attack, but thanks for worrying Nathaniel. I will manage to get there with my scooter faster, so don't worry about me. Just get home safe, both of you.
(They all nod, before running away. Luka drives home, runs in to his and Juleka’s room)
Luka: Juleka! (looking around for her. He then sees a little box on his bed beside his lyre. Adrien also sees a box on the couch.)
Adrien & Luka: Huh? What is this doing here? (both open the box and speak at the same time. The box starts glowing)
(In Lukas room, Tikki Appears as the glow fades, causing Luka to jump back whit a scared look on his face)
Luka:Ahhh, Help a big ass bug! Mouse? A bug-mouse?!
Tikki: Everything is okay! Don’t be scared!
Luka: IT TALKS! (He is trying to fight her of whit his lyre, which she easily maneuvers away from)
Scene: Adrien's room. Plagg appears, to Adrien's astonishment. Plagg yawns.
Adrien: (is about to touch Plagg) No way. Like the genie in the lamp!
Plagg: (stops him) I met him once. So he grants wishes. Big deal! I'm way more personable! Plagg. Nice to meet you. Ooh, swanky. (flies off, touching random things)
Adrien: No! Don't touch that! Hey, Come back here! (jumping after Plagg tying to catch him from eating stuff)
Plagg: Ooh! So shiny! Can you eat this? (tries to bite the game arcade's joystick) Argh, no, you can't! Ooh, what about this? (flies off)
Scene: Luka’s room. Luka continues to try hitting Tikki. Tikki laughs at this.
Tikki: Listen, Luka. I know everything may seem a bit strange to you. (Luka stops, looks a Tikki whit fair and dread)
Luka: You know my name? How? (he stops trying to hit her, now looking closely at her) What are you?
Tikki: I am a kwami, and my name is Tikki. Now just let me explain.
Scene: Adrien's room. Plagg tries to eat the remote controller. Meanwhile Adrien is climbing on his rock wall; when he gets to the highest point, he jumps on Plagg, catching him; Plagg yells in surprise.
Adrien: I still don't know what you're doing here.
Plagg: Look, I'm a kwami. I grant powers. Yours is the power of destruction, got it?
Adrien: (shakes head) Uh-uh. Not really.
Plagg: (starts looking around) Good. Now, got anything to eat? I'm starving.
Adrien: (gets up while still holding Plagg) My dad's pranking me, right? Wait, he couldn't be. He has no sense of humor.
Plagg: (flies out of Adrien's hands) Your father must never know that I exist! Or anyone for that matter.
Scene: Luka's room.
Luka: Juleka needs to see this, so I know I am not going insane.
Tikki: No! I'm your friend, Luka! You must trust me. You're the only one who can stop Stoneheart! But no one else can know that I am with you! I will explain everything, okay?
Scene: Fu's massage room. Wayzz still doubts the Chosen Ones are the right ones as Master Fu closes the Miracle Box in the gramophone.
Wayzz: Do you think they'll be up to it, Master?
Wang Fu: I only got it wrong once. It will never happen again. At least I hope not. (closes the box and gramophone)
Scene: Luka's room.
Luka: This must be some mistake! I cant have superpower, I am even holding back a year. I know! Alya would know! That's hopefully a friend I made today. Well, at least I think she would be a great superhero. She loves superheroes! She'd totally be up for the job! You should totally go see her!
Tikki: Luka, you're the chosen one! (Luka is taken aback, but look more secure after hearing that)
Scene: Adrien's room.
Adrien: But I'm stuck here! I'm not even allowed to go to school! What good is a superhero who's imprisoned in his own house?
Plagg: (rolling on top of a toilet paper roll) No good. That's why it's all going to change soon. If you're willing to change, that is. (Adrien looks at the ring.)
Scene: Luka's room. Luka puts on the Coccielle Miraculous.
Luka: Okay, so all I have to do is break the object where the whatchama-call-it is hiding?
Tikki: It's called an akuma. Which you must encapture.
Luka: Got it! Capture it! And what's that charm thing again?
Tikki: Your Lucky Charm! It's your secret superpower!
Luka: (groans) This is all going too fast, Tikki. It is so much to remember! How will i ever remember all of this is am also fighting?
Tikki: Trust yourself, Luka. Just say "Spots on".
[ Transformation Sequence ]
Luka: Spots on? (the earrings activate) Whoa! What is happening?! (Luka transforms into coccinelle for the first time)
Scene: Adrien's room. Adrien puts on the Cat Miraculous.
Plagg: Claws out! That's how you transform.
Adrien: Got it.
[ Transformation Sequence ]
Adrien: Plagg, claws out!
Plagg: No, wait! I haven't finished explaining!--- (enters the ring)
(Adrien transforms into Chat Noir)
Chat Noir: Too cool! I like the bell. (he rings it).
Scene: Luka's room. Luka, now as coccinelle, is looking over his suite.
Coccinelle: (Curiuse) How does this thing come off? Tikki, if you can hear me, I have some questions. (sees the news)
Nadja: After breaking the shuttle tower, Stoneheart is heading towards the Montparnasse tower. The monster seems to be unstoppable!
Coccinelle: (sees Alya going after Stoneheart and gasps) Alya?
Anarka: Luka? Is Juleka with you?
Coccielle: Uhh... yeah, Mom! it’s me, but Juleka is not her. (goes upstairs) I will look for her close by, just stay here, okay mom.
Sabine: Luka, there is a stone monster outside, stay on board the ship please. (Luka is on the main deck.)
Coccinelle: Okay, I have special powers. And apparently this amazing yo-yo thingy? (grasps the yo-yo to a pillar on the ruff on a close by house, pulls the yo-yo and it whisks him away)
(In the streets)
Chat Noir: (while tightrope walking over his staff) I'm starting to get the hang of this. (sees Coccinelle falling onto him. They both fall and get hung by the yo-yo which is attached to Chat Noir's staff)
Chat Noir: Well, hey there. Nice of you to drop in.
Coccinelle: Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't do it on purpose. All of this is sort of new for me.
Chat Noir: I bet you're the partner my kwami told me about. I'm... Chat Noir. Yeah, Chat Noir. And you?
Coccielle: I'm err... yeah, maybe not my real name… (pulls the yo-yo and it hits Chat Noir's head) Madly Clumsy. I am so sorry Chat Noir, that was not on purpose, please forgive me.
Chat Noir: No sweat. I'm learning the ropes too.
(Suddenly, the floor trembles. Chat Noir sees a building falling and goes to where it is.)
Coccinelle: Hey! Wait, where are you going?
Chat Noir: To save Paris, right?
Coccielle: Right. We are superheroes after all (to himself) Trust yourself, trust yourself, and trust your partner. (uses the yo-yo to swing around and follows Chat Noir)
Scene: Stade des Princes. The students are done with P.E. But then Stoneheart appears.
Stoneheart: KIMMM!! So, who's the wuss now?
(Kim runs away from Stoneheart, but he trips and falls.)
Chat Noir: Hey, it's not very nice to pick on people who are smaller than you.
Stoneheart: I guess you're talking about yourself.
Hawk Moth: Everything's going to plan. The Coccielle and Cat Miraculous have been activated. Here they come to save the day, and now my supervillain will destroy them.
(Chat Noir hits Stoneheart with his stick, but he gets bigger.)
Chat Noir: Where are you, partner?
Coccinelle: Sorry, just needed a sec. What did i miss… (As he landed Stoneheart throws a field goal away. The net is about to hit Alya but Chat Noir trows his staff at the goal hitting it out of the way. As he was distracted saving Alya Stoneheart mange to chapter him in his fist)
Coccinelle: Animal cruelty? How shameful! (he uses his yo-yo to pray open the hand that holds Chat Noir. Chat Noir jumps out and lands beside Coccinelle)
Alya: Yes!
Coccinelle: I hope you are okay, Chat Noir?
Chat Noir: Wonderbug! Thanks for the rescue. (smiles as he looks at Coccinelle, before turning toward Stoneheart) Now, let's kick his rocky behind!
Coccinelle: Wait! (grabs his tail) Haven't you noticed? He gets bigger and stronger with every attack. We have to do something different.
Chat Noir: Different how?
Coccinelle: Uhhh... that is a good question Kitten.
Chat Noir: Okay then. Let's use our powers. Cataclysm! Apparently I destroy whatever I touch.
Coccinelle: Let’s hope this works. (he nods approving to Chat Noir)
Chat Noir: (uses his Cataclysm to destroy the field goal)
Coccinelle: No, don't do that!
Chat Noir: Cool. It's just you and me now! Time to rumble, soon-to-be rubble!
Coccinelle: Chat Noir! Wait! You only get…
(Chat Noir leaps towards Stoneheart to try and defeat him, but realizes his power is not activated.)
Chat Noir: Uh-oh. I guess I only get one shot to use my power. (waves sheepishly; Stoneheart kicks him away)
Coccinelle: And you only have five minutes before you transform back. Didn't your kwami explain anything to you?
Chat Noir: I guess I was a little excited about my new life, and forgot about the one time only use…(he looks like the sad kitty he feels like)
Coccinelle: Well, I still have mine. Let's hopes it can help us. Lucky Charm! (A suit appears)
Chat Noir: Super power?
Coccinelle: My kwami told me I have to break the object where the whatchama-call-it, er, the akuma is hiding.
Chat Noir: Well, he's made entirely out of stone.
Coccinelle: His right hand, it's still closed. He never opens it. It's like the Russian dolls. The object isn't on him, it's hidden in his fist!
Chat Noir: So what's your plan?
Coccinelle: Hmmm. (looking around, he spots Stoneheart's right arm, Alya and a hose) This! (grabs the hose and ties it to the suit. Then ties Chat Noir's feet with his yo-yo.) please don't resist. I need you to trust me me on this, okay.
Chat Noir: This Boy crazy! (gets thrown and Stoneheart gets him)
Coccinelle: Catch me if you can! (Stoneheart drops the akumatized object and grabs Coccinelle)
Coccinelle: And now... Girl, the tap!
(Alya goes to the water tap and opens it. The water sprouts and inflates the suit. Stoneheart lets go of him. Coccinelle breaks the akumatized object and the Akuma flies away. Stoneheart is turned back into Ivan.)
Chat Noir: This boy is awesome. He's crazy but awesome.
Ivan: What's going on? What am I doing here?
Chat Noir: You were incredible, Partner! You did it!
Coccinelle: We both did it, partner. I could not have done anything without you today.
Coccinelle & Chat Noir: Pound it! (Chat Noir's Miraculous beeps)
Coccinelle: You should get going. Our identities must remain secret.
Chat Noir: Farewell, M’Bug. Let's do this again soon, okay?
Coccinelle: Not too soon, I hope. While the company is good… (Chat Noir understands what he means, as he runs off with his staff he laugh. He stops on the top of the stadium and waves at Coccinelle. Coccinelle sits down beside Ivan and gives him the note back)
Ivan: Kim wrote it. He's always making fun of me. It does not help that he figured out that I like a girl in my class.
Coccinelle: You know, you shouldn't get so bent out of shape about that. There's no shame in telling someone you like them. Who knows, maybe this girl also likes you back. (Ivan is seen smiling, as Alya is seen running up to them)
Alya: Uncanny, amazing, spectacular! Are you gonna be protecting Paris from now on? How did you get your powers? Did you get stung by a radioactive Coccielle? Oh, I've got a ton of questions to ask you, uh, Mr... uh...
Coccinelle: Uh. Coccinelle! Call me Coccinelle.
Alya: Coccinelle... Super awesome! (Coccinelle earing being beeping)
