Michael Schmidt (secretly Michael Afton) was the son of the Demon King, later followed by a set of twins. Before they were born his wife took in an abandoned child, who William graciously allowed to stay. One day, he would turn his family (perhaps even the stowaway if he was feeling benevolent) into demons. He would perfect them.
The Schmidts lived peacefully on their mountain. They were a simple family of charcoal merchants with an important family tradition. But peace doesn’t last forever, and the legacy of the Demon King loomed over them all.

I stared at myself in the mirror, unsure if I was still dreaming or if this was real. My eyes, my hair, thin lips, prominent lashes, fair skin. All things that were definitely not me. My body moved slowly, the mirror image reflecting every action, but still I was unsure about the reality of this. Maybe I’d read too many Isekai comics before bed with Miraculous Ladybug playing in the background. This was in line with one of those “I became the Villainess” kind of plotlines after all. Cat Noir is a free spirit; Ladybug is a strict rule follower. Marinette helps ground Cat Noir, and Adrien makes Ladybug see that rules can be suffocating. If a few months after the superheroes are made, Bunnix visits Master Fu to warn him, how will the timeline change? For a while, everything seems normal. Bug and Cat fight villains across Paris, Lila is a lying thorn in Marinette's side, and Adrien cannot stand up to his father.
But suddenly, Marinette loses her miraculous, taken by Master Fu after he heard that in the future, he would lose his memories due to Marinette, and she loses all the miraculous. But Cat Noir can't fight alone. So he asks for a new hero by his side, and Fu gives him Ladybird.
Will she be able to live up to Ladybug's legacy? And how is Marinette doing?
