“What are you reading?”
Wille merely lifts the book so Simon can read the title.
“The Secret Garden… Isn’t that a movie?”
“Based on the book.”
“You’ve read it before?”
He nods, smiling. “It’s my favorite.”
“Oh, I didn’t know that! Why do you like it?”
Wille finally puts the book down to look at Simon. He thinks for a moment.
“Something about finding this magical place where you can be free to be yourself. Also, the transformative power of love, I suppose.”
Simon nods. “Yeah, I can see why you’d like that.”
Wille’s eyes meet his and he beams.
