Simon is headed back when he hears the words, “... swear he has the same hair. I told you so! It’s totally him! He has the same name as the kid from the video!”
The words activate him like a sleeper agent. Simon freezes by the wall. He hears Kasper’s voice drifting from around the corner, scoffing about Simon and Wille and that godforsaken video.

The room’s silence, once comforting, became a suffocating weight in an instant. The sun was just barely peeking out of the window and illuminated the room just enough for Jesper to utilize to rumage through their chest of clothes, trying to find another shirt to wear. This was supposed to be one of their quiet days; where they woke up before dawn instead of greeting an annoyed Kaz at their door, enjoying each other’s quiet company as he blinked the tiredness out of his eyes and Jesper got dressed enough to take them both down the street for some tea.
Instead, Wylan had to ruin it all by opening his mouth.

“You’re super pretty. Like, angel-level pretty.” Gi-hun spoke in a slurry voice. “…wait, are you an angel?” Then he looked around the room, his gaze wandering from the medical equipment to the IV drip attached to his hand and the tangle of wires surrounding him.
“…are you here to take me to heaven?”
“No, I’m not an angel.” In-ho couldn’t help it—he chuckled. “Gi-hun, don’t you remember me? I’m your husband.”
The revelation probably hit Gi-hun like an anvil. His eyes widened so dramatically that they looked like they might pop out of his head. “You’re my husband?” The cracker he’d been holding slipped out of his hand and landed on his chest. “Have we kissed yet?”
Or, Gi-hun wakes up from surgery, high on the effect of anesthesia, and hits on his husband In-ho.
