A deadly storm ravaged across the land. Its tryrant ego ravaged everything in its path causing any sane person to keep their home warm and to stay inside.
But two people were exempt from that sane idea. Nico and Rocky were held up in the Lackadaisy car in a rotten down shack that had been abandoned for years.
It was pitch black outside, Rocky and Nico could only see each other very faintly.
"Atleast we found this rotten shack it won't mind if we take a kindly stay until this bizarred goes away", said Rocky as he was digging in the backseat of the car. Which also was his home in a werid way with Nico sitting in the front seat.
"I've never seen winter get bad like this all my time living here ", said Nico as he turned towards the backseat watching Rocky dig through his stuff to find his pair of matches.
Nico and Rocky could both feel the car becoming colder as their winter clothes were starting to not hold up to the fight against the cold.
"I found them!", said Rocky pulling out a box of matches from under the backseat. He then grabbed the only blanket in the car and crawled to the front seat, where Nico was sitting.
"So whats the weather like in Louisiana I heard its hotter there", said Rocky pulling a match out from the match box.
"Yeah thats true its definitely an adjustment but I've gotten used to it", replied Nico as he looked onward to the harsh winterstorm that carried on with out a care of anything. He couldn't see anything as the wind and snow danced in harmony.
Rocky grabbed an empty lantern from under the front seat. He lit one of the matches and lit up the lantern, they both now had some light. It beamed with a werid sense of relief that darkness and its blinding present was pushed back a little by the formation of a small fire.
"I think we should huddle by the light", said Rocky as a puff of cold air came out of his mouth, which was now visually seen by the light. Rocky tossed over the blanket to Nico, he gave a nice soft smile to Rocky as they both huddled by the lantern. Rocky placed the lantern right beside both of them.
Nico and Rocky both felt some sort of comfort with each other as they both looked at the light in silence with the sounds of harsh winds blowed in the background.
"I'm so sorry I got you into this mess of fetching booze", said Rocky findly breaking the silence between both of them which lasted for a few minutes.
"No you're fine we could've been into something worse", said Nico gving a small chuckle trying to send the signal to Rocky that everything was not a problem.
Rocky gave a faint smile but Nico could tell something was still bugging him,"Are you okay you look a little off?", asked Nico.
Rocky looked at Nico and then turned to the lantern as its light faintly lit the car.
"Sorry I'm just getting reminded of something long ago but I don't want to bore you with my problems", replied Rocky
"So tell me a bit about urself I know we barely know each other but I want to know a bit about you", said Rocky again as he put his arms out in front of the lantern for warmth.
"Well lets see I used to do boxing", said Nico deciding to put his hands out for warmth too.
"Looks like you were good at it", replid Rocky. He was referencing Nico's ability in street combat and his great physique.
"Thanks it was pretty fun", replied Nico picking up on Rockys reference.
"Anything else?", asked Rocky
"Fishing and napping", replied Nico
"Understandable", replied Rocky back
"So what about you and your crazy antics?", asked Nico
"Well you've already seen me play violin with the best elegance", said Rocky
"Yeah I know that but who taught you violin?", asked Nico
"My mother but she is no longer here unfortunately", replied Rocky
"I can relate me and my sister were orphans at a young age", Nico replied back
"You and your sister must have strong bond with each other from what I seen", said Rocky
"Yeah we do she is my only family", said Nico
"I think its nice", Rocky
Just then a loud bang noise on the roof car could be heard which startled both Nico and Rocky. They both looked out of the windows of the car and saw that a small chunch of the rotten building had fallen onto the car due to the winterstorm raging on the background. Relief came over both of them after finding out what it was that had fell on the car. They both turned their heads away from the car windows and they made eye contact.
As they both made eye contact they realized how beautiful it was for both of them to talk to each other which reached a new sense of comfort between both of them. Both Rocky and Nico blushed at each other after looking at each other for too long, Nico quickly turned his head away from Rocky after realizing he was blushing. He started softly laughing to himself, Rocky quickly felt embarrassed as he realized he was staring at Nico in a weird way.
"Sorry... I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable", said Rocky awkardly as he turned to face the window behind him out of embrassment.
Nico reached over and patted his shoulder and spoke," No you're find I was being awkard too don't worry", said Nico getting over his awkard laughter.
Rocky then turned back to him to face him. "I guess we're both awkard then", said Rocky giving a soft smile to Nico.
After that they went on with other conversations all throught out the night as the winterstorm raged on. But as both Nico and Rocky both got deeper into conversation the winterstorm only just became background noise to them and nothing more than an empty threat. Soon both Nico and Rocky had slowly drifted into sleep.
Rocky soon opened his eyes to a morning clear sky and snow covering the snow all over the car, he looked over to see that Nico and him had fallen asleep on each other shoulders. He looked over and saw that the lamp's fire had faded out. He realized he could stay like this with Nico for a little while longer, but he knew they both needed to get back to the Lackadaisy to tell everyone they were all right.
