he felt pain
‘’.. stay... please!"
his head was ACHING
‘’..ur fault... it happened..."
there was an unbarable pain all over his body
‘’… No time for this, we have to…’’
Cough... cough
his coughs were dry , they would ache his chest when coming out
“... is that ?”
heavy liquid came out of his mouth
“…he’s…blood…quick ,call…”
it hurt everywhere !
he tried to open his eyes
but he was weak
Too weak to bare all that pain
his body fell into unconsciousness
“Please Duri … stay with us , we need u!”
that was the last of it …

The house was unusually quiet
It has been a while since it was
The laughter
The warmth
It all … shattered
Since it’s only been the six of them For a while now
It was never the same without him
The one who cared for them all
The one who cried the most
The one who made them laugh
The one who listened
The one who cheered
The one who understood
He was more then just that
He was … well
Simply Duri
The ever so cheerful brother
The Mother Nature lover
The cinnamon Roll
The cry-baby
That’s how they all saw him
And they still do and will

It was another quiet day in the house
Gempa was cooking lunch
Taufan was helping him out
And Solar was focused on one of his books on the kitchen counter
Meanwhile, Hali , Blaze and Ice we’re helping out Tok Aba at the Kokotiam
The tension in the house was deafening
Even the most carefree troublemakers ( Blaze and Taufan ) we’re way less cheerful then usual
Taufan decided to break the silence first
Taufan “ soooo~ what do u guys plan to do after lunch ? “
Solar looked up at Taufan carelessly
Solar “ get to the point “
Taufan “ errr… I was wondering, maybe we can move on a little bit and just … “
His words we’re suddenly cut off by the similar ringtone of the song kembali beraksi from Gempa’s phone
Said brother picked up his phone to answer
He froze for a brief second before answering
But that didn’t escape the duo who we’re watching his movements cautiously
Something about that call felt … off
Gempa” assalamou Alaykoum… yes ? … sure , thx a lot … I’ll be coming right away! “
As fast as the wind , Gempa ended the call and ran for the front door
Taufan “ ummm … Gem ? “
Gempa “ no time … just , come along … QUICK!! “
Taufan and Solar exchanged worried looks before quickly joining There brother -who was putting on his cap and jacket- ready to leave the house
When Solar grabbed his arm firmly
Gempa looked at Solar who frowned
Solar “ calm down Gem , this isn’t like u ! Who was it ? What’s going on ?! “
Gempa “ we need to get to the hospital, it’s about Duri! “
At the mention of that name , both Taufan and Solar stiffened
Taufan who was watching the scenery asked in horror as he approached Gempa
“ Is he … alright ? “
Gempa , seeing the worry and alert in his brothers expression, decided to breath for once
He sighed in frustration before facing fully his brothers
Gempa “ he’s … awake “
And right after those last words
Taufan grabbed both his brothers arms and dragged them outside
Taufan “ THEN WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR … JOM PERGI ! “

The group of boys gathered in front of the hospital’s door
Hali , Blaze and Ais had joined the three others as soon as Solar informed them about what happened
Halilintar- since he’s the eldest- moved to the reception alone to ask for guidance
Hali “ assalamou Alaykoum, maafkan saya , in wish room can I find the patient Boboiboy Duri bin Amato ? “
The lady tapped the name as soon as she heard it , then answered with a bright smile on her face
Lady “ wa alaykoum assalam ,Boboiboy Duri bin Amato … ummm … he’s in room 13 , first one to ur left on the second floor , anything else ?”
Halilintar thanked the young lady and joined his brothers to the elevator
Taufan “ did she say room 13 ? … why do I have a bad feeling about this ?! “ #check-the-end-of-the-chapter
Solar “ stop with ur nonesense , u know that there isn’t such thing as bad luck , everything is in Allah’s hands “
Taufan shrugged it off and moved on with his brothers

‘’ U may come in now , we finished his checkup , but the doctor would like to have a word with one of u please ‘’
Said the doctors assistant
Halilintar nodded as he decided to be the one to speak to the doctor
He followed the young lady to the doctors office meanwhile his brothers decided to greet there brother
Before any of them could open the door , solar interrupted
Solar ‘’ I suggest that we don’t tell Duri how long he’s been out … for now ‘’
Taufan ‘’ kenapa ?! ‘’
Solar frowned and was about to throw a hole lesson about human mental health and traumas , if it weren’t for Gempa to stop him
Gempa ‘’ it’s been 6 months since he’s out , if u tell him that right now , he might get too traumatized ... some things are better left unsaid … at least ,for now , alright ? ‘’
They all exchanged looks then nodded in agreement
Taufan ‘’ Baik !! Anything else ? ‘’
Silence
Taufan ‘’ then I’ll be going in !! Byeeee~~ “
Taufan rushed to open the door and went in
Followed by Blaze , solar , Ais and finally Gempa

Smiles … brighter then they ever been
Warmth and hope found a way to crawl to every single heart
The NEED of having there brother back into there lives was unbearable
Six months of pain
Six months of waiting
Six months of hurting
Finally it all ended
At least that’s what they thought
For months they carried that unsupportable weight in there hearts
That feeling that clung in their chests was finally gone
It was like the hole worlds weight they have been carrying was finally lifted
For months they’ve been working, studying, eating, sleeping, working out , reading, cooking, cleaning…
They tried everything to stop thinking
Thinking about there brother
The one that’s loss was too heavy for there brains
Sometimes it worked
Sometimes it didn’t

But who cares anymore
Now he’s awake
And everything is going back to normal

That’s what they thought

There brother is coming back home
To his shared room with Solar
His innocence and free-soul were going to fill the empty house again
His cute remarks and judgements were going to flicker like stars around them
His love for plants and flowers of the greenhouse ( the ones that the brothers never forgot to water ) was going to be part of there lives again
The pain was leaving
The hurt was ending
The weight was lifting

“ who … Who are u guys ?! “

And it all came crashing on them … every single one of them

Blaze “ hahaha , veeerryyyyy funny Duri , but this isn’t the time for ur jokes , we’re here to make a heart-to-heart welcoming “
Taufan “ why does it sound horrible when YOU say it ? “
Ais “ maybe cause it’s not his thing ? “

Silence

Gempa “ Du … ri ? “

The door creaked open
There stood Halilintar with an unusual frown
Hali “ good , ur all here “
Gempa “ Hali … is it … true ? “
Halilintar stayed quiet
That silence hung heavy between them
He finally let out a heavy sigh
Hali “ Duri … sorry for the intrusion, u must be frightened at the sight of all of us around u “
He said almost too softly
Blaze “ what are u saying ? “
Halilintar didn’t reply
Instead, he approached Duri with a soft smile and patted his head gently
Hali “ namaku Halilintar , and i’m the eldest brother amongst all of us , u don’t have to be afraid , we’re all ur family and we love u “
Gempa , Taufan , Blaze , Ais and even Solar stared at There eldest like he’s gone crazy
Taufan “ someone … give me a phone , I have to recorded this ! “
Blaze “ why does he look like he’s introducing himself to a 2 years old ?! “
Solar shifted uncomfortably towards the edge of the bed and sat beside Halilintar then asked worryingly
Solar “ Amnesia ? “
Halilintar nodded , that answered everything
Solar then added
“ predictable “

Duri sat silently in his bed
All those unfamiliar -but in the same time- very familiar faces looked at him in concern
He recognised sincerity in those -red eyes- staring at him
Concern in those -gold eyes- sitting beside him
Fear in those -blue eyes-
Deep and cold thoughts in those -cerulean eyes-
Confusion in those -orange eyes-
And of course he couldn’t miss those tears in those -brown -comforting- eyes-
They all looked genuine with there feelings
Something crawled up to Duri’s heart
Maybe … just maybe he’s wrong about them ? Maybe they aren’t as bad as he had told him
Then a memory came to his mind
A fierce and warning tone came to his ears

“ Don’t trust them , no matter how much ur brain tells u that they aren’t evil or bad … but trust me , all they want is power and all there plans are evil … there just that good at acting good … tetapi jangan risau … i’ll get u out of there claws asap brother , ok ? “
Duri “ brother ? … is that what we are ? “
The voice softened at that mention
“ yes … that’s exactly what we are , brothers , and brothers are always there for each other , just do as I told u and I’ll come for u , alright ? “
Duri smiled “ I will ! U can count on me !!”

Ais was the first to snap out of it
Ais “ uh … as Hali said , we’re all ur brothers , septuplets, to be more precise , I’m Ais , and these are Solar , Blaze and Gempa … “
Duri “ ummm … Duri , nice to meet u all “

Taufan “ I KNEW THAT ROOM 13 WAS A BAD SIGN !! “
