Summary
Zoro and Sanji are forced to admit that they might be closer than they think when a Mystery Fog has the crew seeing their Soul Animals for the first time. Luckily, Robin always knows more than she says, Luffy takes everything in stride, and the rest of the crew can put up with a lot of [friendly] abuse.

Like a Daemon AU but the animals still shift between a smaller number of given forms. All the best tropes thereof. GREAT sense of the One Piece plot theme of “everyone kind of splits off and has separate adventures that then come together at the end” only you’re not following Luffy, you’re following the side subsplot story. (And it has GREAT hints that the other members of the crew are having their own side subplot stories that are the main story to them.)
Absolutely HYSTERICAL Robin, Zoro, and Sanji takes. But genuinely one of my favorite takes on Zoro probably ever.
