1- Beacon
“Let's step back for a minute.” Weiss says tersely.
“One: faunus heat is supposedly a real phenomena, experienced by faunus across Remnant, and somehow this information is completely unknown to the general populace.” Weiss begins ranting, as she rapidly paces back and forth in their considerably cramped dorm room.
“Well its not like most humans exactly wanted to learn about-”
“NOT the point right now, Blake!” Weiss continues. “Two! Faunus heat can cause extreme discomfort, high body temperatures, general weakness, lack of focus, and an extreme sensitivity to arousing stimuli, among other symptoms.”
“Weiss-cream, you can just say it makes ‘em horny as a-”
“THREE!” Weiss yells, red faced, “Due to a lack of planning and foresight disturbingly common within this team,” (Ruby utters a quiet ‘hey!’) “You, Blake Belladonna, do not currently have any of the medications that faunus take in order to mitigate the effects of this apparently universal experience, that is supposedly a monthly occurrence for most faunus, ultimately resulting in you, on a day where we conveniently have no classes, entering heat?”
“Mine aren’t consistent - but asides from that you seem pretty spot on,” Blake says, staring intently at Weiss as she draws in deep breaths after her tirade. Blake feels her body reacting to the worked up heiress, pupils rapidly constricting and heat pooling in her abdomen.
Weiss closes her eyes as she takes a deep breath, silently fuming.
“And so for the rest of the day, you will be unable to prevent yourself from ogling us and any other ‘suitably attractive woman’, and may as well give up on getting anything remotely productive done unless you receive… assistance with handling your…” Weiss blushes, turning away from Blake, and mutters “handling your needs.”
Ruby chooses this moment to interject, nervously scratching at her neck.
“So, like, I think I get it but - if it's a whole biological thingamajig to try and get faunus to make babies, or whatever - why women?”
“I mean, Rubes, her taste in books is a pretty clear indicator of her preferences,” Yang snarks.
“Well yeah, obviously, she’s really really gay, but like. Blake, you aren’t gonna grow any extra parts like in some of those weird stories of yours or-”
“NO!” Blake screams, horrified (when had Ruby read that series?).
“Ok great. Good. Cool cool.” Ruby starts to ramble. “Uh. I’m fine with that then, I mean not that I’d dislike it if you had extra dangly bits but I just dunno if I could help out then and I just said that aloud and I’mma shutupnow…”
“Sis there's no way you’re suggesting what I think you are.” Yang scolds, eyes red as she processes the implications of what Ruby just said. “It’s Blake’s problem, and she can figure out a solution on her own.”
Ruby puts a hand to her chest, raising up to her full height (still well below the rest of the room), and puts on her best leader voice, “Ahem! Well, as a Team Leader, it is my responsibility to ensure that my team is always performing at their best, and assist them with any and all issues that may be impacting them! As such, I must do anything within my capabilities, even if that includes-”
“OK I THINK THIS HAS GONE FAR ENOUGH!” Weiss screeches, flustered. She quickly grabs Ruby with one hand, Yang with the other, and in a feat of strength far beyond anything she has ever demonstrated at Beacon, begins to drag both of them out of the team RWBY dorm door.
“Blake, by the end of the day, I expect you to have dealt with the issue, and you should ensure that any evidence of any activities related to your symptoms is sufficiently removed by the time we return!”
As Weiss rapidly exits the dorm, Blake groans and sinks into her mattress, feeling the effects of her heat in full now that the adrenaline of the explanation is over. She begins to shiver as she curls up, regretting her stupidity in forgetting to restock on medication after the whole ‘White Fang’ fiasco (and her subsequent outing herself as faunus) the previous month. Clenching her teeth together, she tries to let her mind wander and attempt to take the edge off the first wave of her heat symptoms.
Ruby did almost seem like she was offering to help, maybe she wouldn’t mind if I thought of her - an image of a red eyed, flaming haired Yang fills her vision - no, Yang would find out somehow the moment I start, and start berating me, pinning me beneath her out of a protective instinct for her sister - Why is that arousing? That's not - ugh. Maybe Weiss, all hot and bothered like that, she looks so - but then I wouldn’t even be able to look her in the eye after - someone I don't share a room with - Pyrrha? Brothers, if I just remembered to restock!
Blake's thoughts accompany her discomforted thrashing on her bed, quiet hisses and pathetic whines leaving her mouth as she tries to fight off the heat symptoms on her own.
So caught up in her misery, she doesn’t notice the dorm door quietly open and close, footsteps entering the room and locking the door.
2- Brunswick
Blake has only been in this farmhouse for a day, and she’s already completely done with everything it's had to offer. It's depressing, it’s creepy, it’s cold, it’s overall a horrible experience and she’s more than ready to just get out of here.
Or at least that would be the case, if she wasn’t currently hyperventilating from heat induced… Everything. Would it really be such a bad idea to just strip right here, with everyone watching, put on a show and have someone pounce on her while - yes, actually, that requires taking her clothes off, and she just really doesn’t have the energy for that right now. In fact, she should really just take her pills… that are in her bag… somewhere.
Ughhhhh.
The next moments pass in a haze. She’s barely even there, struggling to follow the rest of her team and just get out of this place, when she’s broken out by a yell:
“I’M NOT LEAVING WITHOUT THE LAMP!”
The shock of hearing her usually cheerful team leader yelling gives Blake her first dose of non-heat-induced adrenaline all day, and she is quick to (reluctantly) voice her support of Ruby’s decision.
(When she looks back on this moment, she’ll severely regret not mentioning her very present heat, for what was to come next could only be explained as ‘horribly mortifying’ and ‘idiotically life-threatening’.)
Down in the well, Blake finds herself shivering as whatever control she managed to grasp over her heat earlier starts to loosen, her breathing ragged, body swaying back and forth as she slowly walks forward.
When Weiss glances back at her, a hint of concern fills her own lethargic expression. She reaches out a hand to Blake's shoulder in an attempt to stabilize her.
“Blake?”
The hand on Blake’s shoulder sends an immediate response downwards through her nervous system. To her own mortification, Blake whines at the touch, chasing the sensation of more. She shifts her body in an attempt to move the hand somewhere more immediately satisfying, only to feel a new wave of shock as the hand retracts at the same time that Ruby’s high pitched scream fills the tunnel around them.
Blake blinks as she processes the implications of this, noticing her team start to run back the way they came. Not having the energy left to question this, she grits her teeth and begins following, only to immediately fall to the ground when another, monstrous scream pierces her hearing. A wave of exhaustion passes through her, and she finds herself losing the energy to maintain mental control over her heat in the process.
She feels something wet and slimy grasp her leg, and - gods please if they could just move further up, yes yes up there please right there - she lets out a moan of pleasure as the grimm rakes its claws up her body and - maybe death isn’t so bad, if it feels this good.
“BLAKE!”
A flash of silver. Someone starts pulling her up, and her huntress instincts finally kick in, filling her with the required adrenaline to start desperately running away from whatever those things are. Another flash of light, and she and the rest of her team are out of the cellar, out of the farmhouse, straight onto Bumblebee, and they take off.
—
Later, after the horrifying revelations about the Apathy, Blake frantically rummages through her belongings and takes an ill-advised number of suppressants.
Weiss notices. “Blake, were you in heat that whole time!?”
Blake sheepishly nods her head, focusing on her breathing, and the freezing cold, hoping that the suppressants take effect soon. Weiss sighs. She shakes her head and puts it in her hands, muttering incoherently under her breath.
Ruby, on the other hand, glares at Blake, before growling in an uncharacteristically disappointed tone.
“Seriously, Blake? Is that why you moaned when you were almost mauled alive by those grimm?”
“I- I didn’t have the energy to find and take the suppressants, probably because of… the apathy, in retrospect.” Blake says defensively.
“That’s not- Were you getting off to being killed? Did it awaken something in you?” Ruby almost seems angry, now.
“Hey now, girl, no kink shaming! This is a supportive environment!” Maria interjects.
“Yeah Rubes, that's not cool.” Yang adds, smirking.
“I’m not kink shaming! People all have desires and sometimes they’re weird and that’s allowed! I am a kink positive leader!”
“Certainly doesn’t sound like it, though.”
“Blake nearly died, Yang! Because she didn’t think to disclose this important piece of information!”
“I’m not into that!” Blake yells out, frustrated. “It was just… a combination of extenuating factors and maybe we can all just blame it on the apathy and move on?”
Ruby continues glaring at Blake for a moment longer, before letting out a deep sigh and forcing on a small smile.
“Fine, but it better not happen again.”
Blake nods vigorously, pocketing her remaining suppressants in one of her jacket’s secure pockets. With them in the jacket, there is no conceivable way that she will enter heat without immediate access to them.
3 - Argus
There was a conceivable way that she would enter heat without immediate access to them.
Really, Blake should have accounted for the possibility of “your violent and bitter ex cutting off your jacket and you going into your heat immediately after killing him with your partner, with nowhere to go due to being stuck in an airship en route to Atlas” but she supposes no one can predict everything. It did leave her in an extremely awkward situation, though. While the closeness of Yang is extremely comforting after… well, everything, it is unfortunately exacerbating her heat induced fever, and after their fight with Adam, her energy to maintain sanity and beat her heat is rapidly dwindling.
Yang's hand shifts a bit on her thigh and Blake barely suppresses a whine, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath to focus on literally anything else. When she opens them, she makes eye contact with Ruby, who is looking at her with concern written all over her features, silver eyes twinkling, lips curved downwards slightly (and Blake’s heat-hazed mind can't help but want to feel those soft, warm lips on her own).
Blake’s breathing hitches as Yang’s hand moves again, and Ruby’s gaze turns from concerned, to confused, to contemplative, before her eyes harden in mild disappointment and resignation as she finally catches on. She raises an eyebrow - Really, Blake? Now? - before she lets out a sigh, standing up and moving towards her.
“Blake,” Ruby begins, “can I… talk with you, alone, for a moment? Maybe, uh…” and she glances to the side of the Manta, gesturing towards a door that must lead to some kind of bathroom, “Just in there?”
Blake, noticing an out when she sees it, does her best to remain composed. “Y-yeah! Of course. Yeah. I’ll uh. Do! That. Yes!”
Nailed it.
Ruby pinches her nose (a habit she must have picked up from Weiss, at some point), letting out a soft sigh, before grabbing Blake by the hand and dragging her into the bathroom, closing the door behind her.
Yang sits there, confused, before shaking her head and looking at an equally confused Weiss.
“So, Weiss,” Yang starts, “what do you think was so important that my sister had to take my partner away for some one-on-one time, immediately after confronting the literal source of our shared trauma?”
“I don’t know, Yang, she did seem kind of unwell. Maybe our leader just wanted to ensure she wasn’t feeling overwhelmed?”
“Mm, that would be rather considerate of her, I suppose. Still though, I kinda thought me and Blake were, like. Having a moment. Cuddling up nice and close and healing ourselves with each other's presence, y’know?”
“Maybe she’s giving Blake the whole ‘I’m Yang's sister, hurt her and I will hunt you down to the ends of Remnant’ spiel?”
“Wha- we’re not like that yet, Weiss!”
“Yet. Please, we all have eyes. Besides, what else could it be, Blake going into one of her ‘heats’ again and Ruby helping her out, while her sister and her partner are not even a room away?”
“Hah! Can you imagine? Little Rubes, our young, rizzless leader, making bold moves like that on our Blakey?”
“I would NOT call her rizzless! How dare you insult my partner like that!”
“Oh? Does somebody have something they wanna share?”
“Share- I- I don’t know what you are talking about, Yang. I’m just saying that you shouldn’t insult your leader with such baseless accusations.”
“Uh-huh.”
“A-Anyway! This is all pointless conjecture, because it is exceedingly obvious that they are not currently canoodling with each other to assist Blake with her biological needs, because that would be-”
“Absurd?”
“Preposterous!”
“Of course.”
“Obviously.”
—
From the end of the cabin, Qrow watches as Ruby pulls a clearly heat-ridden Blake into the bathroom, before shaking his head and turning away.
“They really do grow up fast, huh?”
4 - Ever After
“Well, good news, I’m low on dust.”
And I’m out of suppressants, Blake nearly responds, mentally beating herself up for not thinking to restock before Ironwood turned on Mantle. By this point, she mostly feels resigned to having to ride out yet another heat due to her inconsistent schedule and constant forgetfulness.
(She should really ask Weiss to get on her case, should they ever make it back to some form of civilisation. She’s sure she would be more than willing to help her teammate avoid any more awkward situations.)
Still, the situation around her is fortunately too unknown for it to feed her heat to any problematic levels in her early stage. Provided things remain that way, she should be able to hold out until they find the others, and hopefully a safe space. Hopefully someone will be amenable to… helping her out, and she will be able to continue assisting her team with figuring out where they are, and how to move forward after the absolute hellscape that the past few days were.
Blake snaps to attention to see Weiss struggling against the vines, which regrow instantly. She jumps up to a nearby tree, reaching out for Gambol Shroud, but when she finally makes contact the vines come alive and reach out to snatch her. They wrap around Blake’s legs, binding her hands together, squeezing just slightly, applying pressure just so, and her body instantly begins to react. Skin turning more sensitive, heat pooling inside her… she lets out a low moan as her vision goes hazy.
Ah, Blake realises, I’m into this.
She’s not particularly surprised, really. She just was never curious enough to explore that aspect of herself. Maybe she’ll experiment a bit more if she survives this, and also if she gets out of wherever ‘here’ is, and also assuming that civilization is still somehow alive after Salem’s attack on Atlas - so, maybe not anytime soon, or ever, actually.
Squirming, she starts to lose focus. Her vision blurs, but she vaguely registers noises that must be talking. She lets out a yelp as the vines suddenly loosen and she falls to the ground, the shock of impact forcing her to refocus on the world around her. She looks up and makes out Weiss’ figure, now turned around and looking at her with concern. Behind her, she makes out Ruby, who must have gotten here recently, with some little creature - Is that a mouse? - around her neck.
Blake pushes herself off the ground, standing shakily, breathing way too heavily for the amount of physical exertion she just underwent. She’s all pent up now, and all the sensations around her are just too much, and she can't breathe, and -
Ruby is suddenly in her face, eyes dull, mouth in a thin line, and she mutters out, tone flat but with a hint of something almost… pleading? “Blake? Do you… need me?”
Blake lets out an embarrassing whimper, eyes closing and face tightening, and she reaches out desperately for Ruby, wrapping her arms around her surprisingly muscular frame (distantly, Blake notes that she can almost feel some of Ruby’s bones, and since when did she get so light?), her soft body, the scent around her neck, and Blake’s own body begins to respond to Ruby’s proximity. She lets out a low moan as Ruby’s hands begin to move down, and -
“Wh-WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING???” Weiss’ screech breaks Blake out of her haze slightly, and she turns around to realise that this is almost definitely not the time nor the place for this, not that she finds herself caring. Weiss’ face is red from a full body blush, rapidly looking between the two of them.
“You two must be very good friends!” The little mouse perks up from next to Ruby’s neck, seemingly unaware.
Ruby herself, however, takes a deep breath and turns to Weiss, her expression almost glowering, before returning to a dull calm.
“Blake’s in heat again. She needs help. I can help her.” Ruby deadpans.
“Wha-I- again? What are you - you don’t need - that is, surely she can… help herself? You don’t need to do that for her - I mean, have you even done that with anyone before?” Weiss stammers out, looking anywhere but Blake and Ruby.
Ruby scoffs. “It wouldn’t be the first time, Blake has a remarkable ability to misplace her suppressant pills in the least convenient moments.”
Blake feels like she should be offended by that statement, but concedes the point as true.
Weiss makes a high pitched noise, before squeaking out an affronted, “Not the first time? How many - that time, on the manta to Atlas, were you two really -.” She cuts off, putting her face in her hands, taking a deep breath and sighing deeply. “Ok. I suppose if you’re sure, I can’t deny the… tactical benefit of being able to relieve her when she loses access to alternative means.“
Weiss’ blush then returns in full force as she looks Blake straight in the eye, sending shivers through her body.
“Do you… need any extra assistance?”
Blake blinks, not quite processing the implication of the sentence, before her imagination quickly runs wild with the idea of Weiss and Ruby… Her heat increases in intensity, making it difficult to discern exactly what words they exchange, before suddenly two sets of hands are on her body, and all remaining coherent thought quickly leaves Blake as she fully gives in.
Brothers, if this is the afterlife, it is beautiful.
—
Later, after Ruby and Weiss catch Blake and Yang locked in a passionate embrace, Weiss pulls Ruby aside.
“So we’re not going to tell Yang about earlier, are we?” Weiss asks, somewhat urgently.
“I… yeah. I suppose not, huh.” Ruby mumbles out, eyes dull as she stares at Blake.
“Good. Not that I want to hide it, exactly. More that Blake probably should… inform her in her own time.”
“Mmm.”
Weiss remains silent for a bit, watching Ruby’s dull expression as she stares at Blake and Yang. If she had… assisted Blake before, then perhaps she was feeling some assortment of complicated emotions about the whole affair. Perhaps Weiss could give Ruby some form of assistance, in whatever form that may take?
“Ruby… if you ever… I mean, I’m more than happy if…” Weiss bites her lip, glancing at Ruby before looking forwards towards Jaune and the others.
“Nevermind.”
Ruby’s eyes briefly flicker towards Weiss, but she gives no other sign of acknowledgment.
5 - Vacuo
The Vacuo dorm room that team RWBY were assigned on their return was appreciated, if a bit cramped. By some consensus, all of the beds were pushed together (“To improve our space efficiency,” Weiss had explained, although no one had really asked). Blake sat on the edge of the bed, barely paying attention to her surroundings, taking the time to finally process the events of the past few days.
RWBY (and Jaune) only arrived in Vacuo the day prior, although apparently it had been months for Remnant. Weiss was currently out reuniting with her family, Yang had gone to check in with Qrow (and ask about Raven), and Ruby was currently taking a late morning shower, after the rest of the team had come to the consensus to let her rest after the ordeal of the previous day.
The previous day, when Blake had to watch Ruby surrender herself, eyes lifeless and resigned. After everything Ruby had done for her, even within the Ever After, Blake had repaid her by refusing to address the obvious mental decline, too caught up with Yang and being within a living fairy tale. It’s not like she didn’t notice - she just thought that taking the pressure off of leading the team would help Ruby recover from, well, everything.
Blake grimaces, her anger at herself growing as she vividly recalls Ruby’s breakdown after the Paper Pleasers, her bitter tone as she turned on Blake - “Maybe even finally get our feelings sorted out! Good for you, by the way, we’re all SO HAPPY for you!”
Blake puts her hand over her mouth to muffle a sob as she begins to cry, overwhelmed by the sheer extent to which she had failed her leader, her teammate. Ruby, who had assisted her with her heats on multiple occasions, and never made her feel lesser for having them (Well, there was that time with the Apathy, but that was justified).
The shower turns off, and Blake rubs her eyes, shaking her head and trying to reign in her emotions - she has to be strong, for Ruby - and takes a deep breath as she waits for Ruby to exit the bathroom. After an agonisingly long wait, she finally exits, with only a towel wrapped around her, stretching with a yawn and - nope, looking away. Blake turns to look at the opposite end of the room, blushing, and loudly clears her throat.
Ruby startles, “O-Oh! Hey, Blake, I uh… thought you’d be out with Yang? Or your family? Or uh. Um!” With a burst of petals, Ruby quickly dresses herself, while Blake continues to stare at the wall. “You can look now - I mean you didn’t have to turn away in the first place its not like you haven’t seen me before except now you have Yang and you don’t really need me anymore and I think I’ll just go now because- “
“Ruby.” Blake cuts her off, turning around to look Ruby in the eyes while patting the space beside her, “Can we… talk? For a bit?”
“Oh.” Ruby says, apprehensive. “Sure. If you want to?”
Blake smiles at her, as she slowly lowers herself to the bed, sitting rigidly with noticeable distance between them. They sit there in tense silence, both grappling with what to say, waiting to see if the other has something to say first.
“I’m sorry-”
“Blake I’m so-”
They both speak at the same time, before Ruby gestures for Blake to go first.
Blake takes a deep breath. “You’ve always been there for me - for us, time and time again, and we all selfishly took that for granted without ever really being there for you. We failed you as teammates on a fundamental level and - I especially failed you, you’ve done so much more than I could reasonably ask of anyone for me, and I never- “ Blake chokes down a sob.
Ruby interrupts, alarmed, “Blake, no it’s fine! You’ve all always been amazing and dealing with so much-”
“It's NOT fine!” Blake sobs. “Ruby you - you don’t have to do that! We failed you. I failed you to such an extreme extent, I should have helped! You’ve helped me so much and I repaid you with negligence, you’re allowed to tell me you're upset!”
Ruby’s expression shifts to a frown as she mulls on Blake's words, not looking at her, before she takes a deep breath and speaks.
“I don't know what I feel right now. But that doesn’t change that I said those horrible things to you, when I…“
“Ruby,” Blake starts, tone much softer but still shaky, “I’ve already forgiven you for that. You were under such an immense amount of pressure and it's our fault for not assisting you with dealing with that. Anyone would have cracked in that scenario.”
Ruby looks conflicted at that, but she does eventually relent with a soft sigh. “I guess you have a point. I still shouldn't have said what I said though. I didn’t mean what I said - I mean, well. Maybe there was some truth there, but. I didn’t have to be so awful about it.”
Blake smiles softly, before shifting closer to Ruby, embracing her in a hug, which surprises her before she returns it. “Maybe, but some things have a tendency to get out whether we want it or not.” Blake’s ears flick at this. “Usually, you’ll end up better after you reveal anything you're hiding to others. And Ruby, you can always talk to me- to us. Ideally before any resentment you're feeling gets too big and explodes at the worst possible time. I promise we would do anything for you.”
Ruby stiffens. “Anything?”
Blake nods. “Anything. Just ask.”
Ruby pulls out slightly from the hug, glancing away from Blake, face scrunching up with resignation.“Theres… some things I want that I don't think I can get from you, anymore. It - It wouldn’t be fair to you, or to Yang, and it… nevermind, it’s silly. It’s fine.”
“What is it, Ruby?” Blake asks, mind rapidly running through Ruby’s words again - to her, OR to Yang? What would she be talking about - Blake’s ears perk up and her eyes widen as she makes an inference. OH!
Blake blushes lightly as she puts her hand on Ruby’s cheek, guiding her face to look at her.
“You know… I did tell Yang that I’d had assistance with my… irregular heats, in the past, and she didn’t seem particularly put off by that.”
Ruby freezes, eyes widening. “Blake, what are you…”
“I’m saying, I’m fairly sure she wouldn’t be particularly offended if I was with someone else briefly for… relief purposes”
Ruby almost looks hopeful for a moment there, confirming that Blake is definitely on the right track, before she looks more confused, saying, “Blake, you’re not in heat right now, though.”
“No, but I don’t have to be in order to sleep with someone. If that someone wanted to.” Blake quickly tacks the end on, to ensure Ruby doesn’t feel any sort of pressure.
Ruby is blushing, now, voice shaky as she squeaks out, “Blake are you offering - surely you’re not - are you ok with that? I mean-”
“Yes,” Blake interjects, smiling softly directly into Ruby’s eyes, as she realises just how ok she is with that idea. “I’m more than ok, I think.”
Ruby looks at Blake in awe. “You’re serious.”
“Yes.” Blake's hands wander up through Ruby’s skirt, playful. “If you want to.”
Ruby shivers, any remaining doubt leaving her as she responds.
“Please.”
—
After, Blake finds herself cuddled under the bed’s blanket, close against Ruby’s sleeping form, smiling contentedly. She certainly seems much more relaxed now than she’s been for a very long time. Blake breaks out of her musings as she hears the door open, and Weiss steps in.
Weiss closes the door behind her, letting out a weary sigh, before taking in the occupants of the room, smiling as she sees Ruby resting. She turns to Blake, opening her mouth to speak, before double taking as she notes she can see both Ruby and Blake’s bare shoulders, visibly processing their position before a light blush dusts her face.
“Blake, you aren’t still… in heat, are you?” She speaks softly, tone more curious than anything. “Do you…” and she pauses, embarrassed, continuing sheepishly, “need any help?”
“I- no, we just were, well, Ruby wanted…” Blake trails off, trying to figure out what Weiss was asking.
“Oh!” Weiss gasps. “I suppose that… also makes some sense.” Her blush strengthens and she anxiously shifts her weight from one leg to the other. “Did- That is, I mean. She… wanted to?”
“Yes.”
“I see.” Weiss stands up straighter, expression forcibly neutral. “I am going to go shower now.”
Weiss quickly marches into the bathroom, locking the door, and the sound of running water quickly follows.
Blake smirks. Weiss is always a bit cute when she’s flustered. She yawns and closes her eyes waiting for Weiss to get out.
…
She’s been in there for a while now. Blake flexes her ears, trying to make sure Weiss is ok, listening for any noise from the shower, before hearing a soft and distinctly sensual moan.
Ah, I see how it is.
Blake smirks, but decides to spare Weiss any further embarrassment and keep to herself, closing her eyes again and going back to sleep.
—
Yang lets out a yawn as she makes her way down the corridor holding her team's dorm room. The talk with Qrow had been great, but exhausting, and she could use some time with her partner (in more ways than she ever hoped), before she heads out to get dinner.
Upon reaching the door, she scans her scroll to unlock it, opening the door to find Blake and Ruby in their bed, snuggling contentedly under the blankets. She smiles, happy to see them both so relaxed, especially Ruby after the absolutely hellish day she experienced yesterday. She goes to move the blanket aside and cuddle up to Blake, but the movement causes Blake to awaken, eyes quickly widening in shock as she notices Yang.
Blake also does not appear to be wearing any clothes.
“Oh! Yang! Is it dinner? I- Sorry, I was uh. Doing stuff.” Blake stammers out.
Responding to the noise, Ruby sleepily murmurs. “It’s ok. I’m stuff,” before seeming to return to sleep and curl closer to Blake's (very naked) body.
Blake's ears pin back. “Oh my god, Ruby. No.”
Yang snorts before breaking into a laughing fit. “Haha, Blake, you are banging my sister.”
Yang turns around, moving to exit the dorm. “Dinner will be in thirty. You should probably eat, I doubt you’ve had lunch today.” She makes sure to lock the door behind her, shaking her head in disbelief (and a tiny bit of amusement) as she does.
I mean, the goal was for Blake to make sure that Ruby knew she could come to us for help. I suppose she accomplished that? Really wish I didn’t have to know about that, though.
Yang shrugs to herself. Could have been worse, I suppose.
