Summary

With the help of the mysterious, sassy girl only she can see and hear, Byleth attempts learn what her feelings about Edelgard von Hresvelg mean, and how best to act on them, before problems with the mysterious Flame Emperor make time run out.
This is very different to my other work(s), in that I have not finished this one before posting. I don't necessarily expect to get to the end of the game, but I'm hoping to be writing this on and off between chapters of EFFXIV, which means updates will be irregular and unscheduled. Nevertheless, I hope y'all enjoy it!
Beta reading by Scorchlette! And despite heavy storyline differences, this was somewhat inspired by the AU work Turas, by Grundpfeiler!

Zoey's eyes are alight with mirth, but they soften with something fonder. “Okay, but why is she so adorable?”
“Because she's Rumi,” Mira sighs. “We should probably take her to bed.”
Zoey's face turns dramatic, clutching fake pearls around her neck. “You wanna bone now? In her current state?”
“Not like that, dumbass!” Mira snaps back, but her reddening cheeks remove any bite from her words.
“I think I'm tilting.”
Both girls’ attention returns to Rumi, who, unsurprisingly, is not tilting.
So she purrs. What about catnip?
