the dragon has three heads (judge, jury, & executioner)

Summary:

Bakugou is getting sued so he went to the first person he thought of. Unfortunately, that person has a conflict of interest.

Notes:

the rape/noncon tag is implied to a case that izuku is working on and nothing to do with the actual relationships mentioned but please proceed with caution and let me know if I missed anything to tag

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

“We won,” she softly spoke.

Midoriya slid back into his chair, rubbing his hands over his face and beginning to feel a pulse of an upcoming headache. “Not yet, they’ll appeal and want a retrial. They want a bad guy so bad they’ll put the blame on anyone even if they’re innocent.”

Melissa groaned softly beside him and waited for the prosecution to stand to make their appeal now. With how long both she and Midoriya have been on the case she knows the asshole would want to announce it the whole world.

It's been nearly a year since this case started. A woman “guilty” of murdering her police husband on grounds that he was molesting their daughter and abusing her. But of course, Midoriya would never want to put a five-year-old on the stand, and the wife never documented any evidence of the abuse her husband put her through. She never told anyone in her family since she claims her husband isolated her from everyone. The prosecution in pushing for the harsh sentence but Midoriya knows deep in his bones the woman is innocent and is a victim. She’s guilty of not protecting her daughter better or leaving when she had the chance as she told him.

He makes sure to see her after the trail. Her daughter is in therapy and staying with her mother for the time being.

The SHM Lawfirm.

The large dark blue, with gold accents, and green coloring stared at him as he made it back to the building. It wasn’t anything like more famously known law firms or even Pro Hero Agencies, but it was his. Well, theirs. He and his half-brothers. His father was in short terms a whore and left kids right and left. So, he and his half-brothers decided to come together and opened a law firm. Midoriya was diagnosed at a young age as Qurikless. With his dreams of becoming a hero being crushed, he needed a new way to help people. Sure, a doctor or your average police officer would be more understanding but not for people like him.

His father although not to present helped him in getting into the best law school in Japan and even went for a semester abroad. He joined late but he works with his half-brothers, Oboro Shirakumo and Koichi Haimawari. One with a pro license and the other a former vigilante. Melissa joined their team after she heard Midoriya had settled in and had won his first case. They tended to take smaller cases, and most that would get brushed under the rug by their justice system. Especially cases that involved Pro Heros.

“Hey Izu-chan!” Koichi proclaimed as he saw the familiar head of green hair and his brother’s usual down look etched on his face. He sighs, seeing his brother so down. He knows his recent case is one he will not lose no matter how many times they appeal.

“I’m exhausted. We won today but I know that asshole will appeal,” Izuku groaned as he slumped in his desk chair and tugged at the black tie.

“Makes sense. With no actual evidence to prove the husband was abusive and molesting the daughter there’s no real villain to put behind bars besides the mom,” Koichi replied dropping his sunny persona to be serious.

“She’s innocent,” Izuku said strongly, more so to himself as he stared up at the ceiling.

“So, what are you going to do about it?” This time Oboro cut in.

Oboro had his sleeves rolled up, collar undone, and his cloudy hair stuck in different directions. Izuku and Koichi frowned. “Was your head up in the clouds again?” Koichi asked, confused.

“More like between Aizawa’s legs,” Izuku snarked back, getting a fluffy cloud smacked him.

He can’t help but laugh because he can see the bright blush across his brother’s tan cheeks. “This isn’t about me. I asked what were you going to do about your case?”

Izuku sat up and placed his elbows on his desk, “I’ll have our cyber techs comb through his computer again. I know the police already did it, but I have a gut feeling they might have missed something.”

“Good start,” Oboro softly smiled.

“Agreed,” Koichi added back to his bubbly personality.

“Sorry to interrupt boss,” Melissa said as she knocked and entered. All three turned to her in sync. “There’s a Katsuki Bakugou here... something about wanting to see Deku and get his help on something.”

The two elders slowly turn to Izuku who rolls his eyes at the terrible nickname Katsuki gave him just because he couldn’t pronounce his name when he was younger. He was sure it was being used more as an insult when he found out he was quirkless. He never forgot the bullying as a child and in middle school.

“Take him to one of the conference rooms, Melissa. Thank you,” Izuku stands up fixing his tie and side glancing at his brother. “Turn on the sensors please. We can’t afford to lose any furniture.”

“Way ahead of you,” Koichi replied, getting up from his desk and walking to the monitor office. He walks past their legal team and smaller associates. Opening the conference room door, he’s met with the sight of his old childhood friend, and he brought along his friend.

“Great Explosion Murder God Dynamite, Red Riot, what can I be of service for you today?” Izuku sat down at the head of the table.

“Damnit nerd you know call me what you’ve always called me,” Bakugou spoke freely as he sat down and pulled slightly at his hero costume.

“I’m not calling you Kacchan. I’ll refer to you as your hero name or perhaps Bakugou-san... whichever you prefer,” he bluntly stated.

Bakugou didn’t seem to like that he wasn’t going to call him that even when he always claimed to hate when Izuku called him that childish nickname. “Bakugou is fine,” he finally said through gritted teeth.

“You can just call me Kirishima-san, Midoriya-sensei,” Kirishima cut in with a blinding smile.

“Very well. What can I do for you both?”

Kirishima looked back at Bakugou for nodding his head in encouragement. Weird. Izuku thought. “I need a lawyer. I’m being sued by stupid IcyHot,” Bakugou began.

“Sorry... IcyHot?” Izuku questioned wanting to laugh at the random nickname for this person.

“He means Shouto Todoroki,” Kirishima elaborated.

“Our agencies are clashing. We both showed up at a villain scene and damages were done and they are blaming up when really it was his fault,” Bakugou explained already sweating from how angry he was. He’s glad he had his brother turn the sensors on otherwise he’s sure Bakugou would be popping little explosions.

“Can you help us?” Kirishima asked with wide red eyes that were shiny with hope.

He hated to crush that hope.

“No,” he stated bluntly.

“What? Why not?” Bakugou snapped; angry red eyes were homed in at him.

“Conflict of interest,” he replied, leaning back in his chair.

“The fuck does that mean?” The blond angrily asked.

“I am married to Shouto... I have a daughter with him,” he replied. He didn’t wear his ring to work in case some of the cases he took would take a darker turn than intended. It's part of his job, and he would rather not risk the safety of his daughter and husband even if Shouto was a Pro Hero. All three of them, Izuku, Oboro, and Koichi, have taken down politicians and even some heroes for their recklessness.

They’ve had their lives threatened more times than they would ever confess to their significant others. Every day, Oboro climbs into bed and finds that Shouta had a safe patrol, which eases him. Koichi gets to see Touya putting their son to sleep, which makes him happier every day. Izuku gets to see his daughter and husband trying to wait for him at night, but failing to stay awake, fills his heart with overwhelming joy. He loves his family dearly. He would not risk them.

“Sorry, Bakugou... I would recommend my brother’s but there’s a chance they would decline as well,” Izuku said.

Bakugou couldn’t believe it. Not only was his ass getting sued for damages he’s sure he wasn’t the cause of but the one guy he’s been yearning for years and waiting to be the top hero was already married. He already had a fucking kid.

Izuku didn’t wait for him.

He really stupidly thought he would.

Bakugou frowned. He stood up abruptly and Kirishima followed a little stunned by the recent information. “See you in court.”

No Izuku wouldn’t be his lawyer but he knew deep down in his heart that broke with each step he took he would defend his husband.

It was late. Izuku toed off his shoes and put them beside Shouto’s running shoes and his daughter’s All Might-themed ones.

“Daddy’s home!” His daughter shrieked as she ran from the hallway to the door.

“Babydoll!” He easily lifted his daughter up in his arms and kissed her temple. Curly crimson hair, with one streak of dark green, frames her cherubic face, sea green eyes with equally curly lashes, and freckles splatter across the bridge of her nose.

“Papa missed you,” she suddenly says as they walk further into the house.

“Oh I missed Papa and you too, Riko,” Izuku told her as they entered the dining area finding Shouto waiting for them.

“Sorry for being late… again,” he mumbled and sat down beside him, his daughter getting comfortable on his lap.

“Its fine, love. Just happy to have you home,” Shouto leans forward kissing his cheek before stealing a kiss from his lips.

“Natsuo and Touya were here earlier,” he tells him as they begin eating. Izuku had katsudon and daughter like father they had soba.

“Oh yeah, and?”

“Well, Natsuo is three weeks pregnant. You can thank Hawks and his bird genes for making it happen,” Shouto tells him.

“Hear that Riko. Another cousin from Uncle Natsuo this time,” Izuku tells his daughter. Riko slurps her noodles before speaking.

“I want a sister!” She proclaimed.

Izuku nearly chokes on his food and Shouto flushes red. Izuku could barley handly the pregnancy hormones the first time and they’ve waited for a second since Shouto has become number one and being a lawyer is tiring.

“Well work on it,” Shouto chuckles to his daughter.

Putting Riko to bed is a tiring thing to do. The little girl loves having her two fathers together and more so when they cuddle together in her small nest.

“Suing Katsuki Bakugou?” Izuku blurts out as Shouto enters the room after his shower. A smirk pulls on his husband’s face as he pulls his sweats just a little lower showing his happy trail.

I will not be distracted. Izuku thinks as he watches his husband climb onto the bed and crawl over to him.

“He did some damages, refused to pay, and now I’m suing for what my agency paid for. Didn’t think he’d run to you to defend him in court,” Shouto almost laughs at the thought of Bakugou running to the friend he bullied as children to defend him now.

“Well, does my husband need a lawyer or will one of his brother-in-laws do the trick?” Izuku smiles softly as Shouto tugs at the blankets.

“I want my husband to defend me in court. I’d like to see you all dressed up in that slutty black suit of yours. Shows off your hips and ass well,” Shouto shamelessly says as he starts undressing him.

“Because I look pretty you want me as a lawyer? Hmmm, I’ll have to start charging you for talking to me. Consider it a consulting fee,” Izuku breathlessly spoke as Shouto began kissing at his neck.

“I have dirt on him, love. We can take everything from him if you wish. Payback for all he did to you,” Shouto whispers in his ear grinding his hard cock against his husband’s bare pussy.

“Sho… that’s not necessary,” he moaned lowly as Shouto bit into his shoulder.

“Why is that?” Shouto pulled away, tugging his sweats down, and pulling his cock out. Stroking himself he lines himself with Izuku and begins pushing in.

“Attorney client privileges baby,” Izuku wrapped his legs around his waist as Shouto started a slow pace. It was nights like this, when it has been a long week, that these nights become everything to them.

“Number two?” Shouto asked making eye contact with Izuku.

His husband’s scarlet cheeks, pupils dilated making his eyes look like silver wedding rings, and messy green hair against the pale pillows.

A rare sly smile pulled at his lips, “You can try.”

Shouto matched his feral smile before leaning down to kiss him pouring as much love and desire into it. He would get his husband pregnant. He would give his daughter a sibling.
