    You need a quirk to become a hero -- or so Midoriya Izuku's been told his entire life. Unfortunately for him, he's got no quirk, and no other unspeakable talent. After having his dreams crushed by All Might, his greatest idol, Midoriya begins to notice some of the limitations of hero society.

    Todoroki Shoto is not a masterpiece. He won't be something pretty that was bred just for a quirk. For a number one spot in the hero rankings. What he is is aware -- aware of the science that holds quirk society together, holds up the hero hierarchy, and what keeps him stuck in a cage.

    Everybody else is extremely confused, disturbed, intimidated, interested, or some variant of those.

    It takes Shouto a moment to register that he’s not in his own bed, and he’s not alone.

    “I can hear you thinking.” Katsuki’s voice comes out in a grumble against his neck. His arm is over Shouto’s stomach, his body a hot line against his back. “Between you’n Zuku, I swear.”

    “You chose this.” Izuku responds where he’s curled up against Shouto’s chest, his head tucked under the bigger man’s chin. “Mm.” Those lips suddenly find his throat, Midoriya pressing a few quick kisses across his skin, trailing down to Shouto’s collar. Then he tucks his face into his sternum, between his pecs. Nuzzles there. “A few more minutes.”

    Shouto’s heart feels like it’s about to burst.
