Chapter Text
Pyro was bored. He had been haunting the castle for years! It was boring and now he is bored.
He knew a bunch about Cleo and Pearl now that he had been haunting the very castle they lived in. Pyro hadn’t wanted to listen to them, but he normally now did for the entertainment.
The ghost flew around a bit before stopping. He frowned as he felt a small tug on his ghostly form. “What in the world?” He said to himself. Pyro had learnt that he talked to himself a lot more, as no one could hear him at all.
Pyro let the tug take him.
He opened his eyes to find himself in a well-furnished room. In the same era as things that Cleo and Pearl had in the castle to ‘fit in’. Pryo looked towards a desk, seeing someone with long white hair sitting there.
The vampire ghost floated closer to the person trying to figure out who the vampire was. Pyro got closer before another person walked right through him, which shocked him more as it’s been ages since that had happened.
“Shelby! I know I'm a vampire, but I just got the chills,”
Pyro’s ghostly body froze at the voice, the voice of his Sire. The one who murdered him to turn him into a vampire, the one who cursed him.
Scott Goldsmith.
Then the vampire at the desk was Shelby, as Scott had called her by her name.
Pyro hadn’t really thought of Shelby, even if she was his first fledgling and the one who murdered him the second time. But then again, she also was the one who made him a grave. He floated closer again, looking at what Shelby was doing. He tried so much not to look at his sire, to not even glance in his direction.
He saw that she was typing on a computer; he had learnt that from Cleo and Pearl when he had listened in on them when he was bored.
“What is this?” He whispered out loud, mainly just to voice his thoughts.
“Just a new idea for a novel,” Shelby said, still typing.
“I know,” Scott stated, standing on the other side of the room as he was sitting on the couch.
“Did you just ask me what it was?” Shelby asked, looking over her shoulder at Scott.
“No?” Scott muttered, looking back at her.
“Oh,” She whispered, looking back at her computer.

Pyro was thinking over what happened, wondering if Shelby had heard him or not. He wasn’t sure.
He had looked around the place. It was a nice place. Shelby defiantly picked it out and styled it. Scott had gone out for the day, and Pyro was left alone in the house where Shelby was sitting on the couch, watching a show on the TV.
“I’m bored,” Pyro said out loud, not expecting to see Shelby jump and look around.
“Who’s there?” She asked, looking around. “Scott? Are you invisible?... Drift?”
“Pyro,” The ghost said, standing in front of Shelby.
“Pyro?” Shelby repeated, looking a bit freaked out. “No way, this has got to be a prank,” She muttered, her hands going over her ears.
“It’s not,” Pyro whispered, putting his see-through hand on Shelby’s shoulder. Shelby in turn jumped again at the sudden coldness on her shoulder. “If you got the chills, it was because my hand is on your shoulder,” Pyro explained.
“No, No, No... I am not going to be haunted by the voice of the guy I killed and the guy who turned me into a vampire,” Shelby said, getting off the couch and grabbing her phone that was on the coffee table.
“I like the grave you gave me,” Pyro said, knowing only Shelby knew of the grave. Other than Cleo and Pearl, of course. Pyro wasn’t sure if the two told any other survivors about it.
“Oh... oh... Pyro?” Shelby whispered, sitting back on the couch. Pyro had also moved so that he stood in front of the TV.
“Yeah... h... Happy Uh... reunion?” Pyro said with a smile. Sad that only he knew he was smiling.
“Happy?... uh sure” Shelby muttered. “Oh gosh, I need to see if anyone else is hearing voices,” Shelby said, turning her phone one. “Who would be getting haunted?”
“Cleo? I guess... I don’t know,” Pyro said with a sigh.
“I heard that sigh,” Shelby said, dialing Cleo’s number. “Hey Cleo? Are you hearing a voice in your head? I can hear Pyro,”
She did a few nods and hums before putting the phone down. The living vampire looked at her hands then up at the TV where she thinks Pyro was. “Cleo’s apparently hearing Martyn's voice.”
