Summary
Shadow jumped back as the water rippled, the large creature housed inside the large viewing area slowly swimming to the surface. He scrambled back as it breached, splashing him with water and causing him to slip, lying on his back.
Yellow eyes glowered at him. Sharp teeth glistened, the mouth housing them poised in a snarl.
He was at a loss for words. The creature looked so disturbingly… Mobian. It had hands. A face. A body. It looked like… A mer. Like one from those fairy tales Maria used to read to him.
“What… Are you?” He asked quietly, when he found his voice again.
OR:
After being caught and sold to an aquarium, Espio must find a way to escape and make it back home. At the same time, Shadow starts working at his grandfather’s old aquarium, and meets someone that might change his entire life.

Summary
Espio sat at the edge of his bed, staring at the floor. His attempts to shift his gaze away from his dangling legs were futile. No matter how hard he tried his eyes always drifted back to the blood stains that soaked his pants and were now spreading to his tabi, legs wraps didnt provide enough absorption, apparently.
Silver was across the room, though not far due to the minimal space, leaning on Espio’s desk. He looked furious, yet he was sniffling, constantly reaching a hand up to wipe away the globs of tears.
