Brrrrr

Summary:

Their first time experiencing Winter

Breakbee week day 5: Winter/Summer

Work Text:

Bumblebee and Breakdown have a place they found safe.

An abandoned building they called their home away from home. It was big enough for both of them and then some. It was a comfortable escape from the war.

The two racers opened their optics to the cold morning of Earth. It had been getting colder recently, but neither of them were prepared for what they were going to find outside when Bee opened the door.

“What the…”

Breakdown said upon seeing the ground that was once green, covered in a blanket of white.

Bee stepped outside, his armor shivering when he walked out.

“I don't know what I was expecting, but it's definitely cold.”

“Do you think every other bot and con is just as confused as we are?”

Breakdown asked with a small grin.

“Probably.”

Bee walked further out, looking behind him and seeing the footprints he left in his tracks. He looked at Breakdown who also stepped out into the cold white stuff.

“At least it's not acid?”

Bee agreed.

“That's a plus. Earth's rain also isn't acidic. It's a relatively safe planet, save for the tornados…”

“No tornado is fast enough to catch us, just remember that.”

Breakdown chuckled.

“Duh. They're still scary up close.”

“Wanna race?”

Breakdown grinned.

“Sure. Down the hill?”

Bee asked.

“Yeah, I'll even give you a headstart.”

Breakdown chuckled.

“Yeah right, don't need it.”

Bee rolled his optics.

Both mechs transformed into their alt modes, taking off at the same time. Racing on the blanket of white much different. They raced towards the edge of the hill, going down when they reached it.

It quickly turned into a problem when both mechs suddenly couldn't control their traction. Even hitting the brakes didn't help as they just kept sliding down the hill.

They both transformed to try to stop but it didn't help much either, they just kept sliding. Bee was able to grab onto a tree, stopping his slide.

Breakdown couldn't grab anything in time before sliding down and slamming into a tree. Bee gasped before carefully letting himself slide down to Breakdown's position.

“Hey, are you okay? Is anything damaged?”

Bee said with concern as he looked over the other mech.

“Just my pride…”

Breakdown painfully chuckled.

Bee stared at the mech with narrowed optics.

“I'm serious.”

Breakdown sighed.

“Well…I crashed into my hip. It hurts.”

“Alright. Not fatal, nothing that can't be fixed.”

Bee said, carefully grabbing Breakdown and letting them slide down to the bottom of the hill.

Bee stood up, helping Breakdown up as well.

“So clearly this isn't racing weather.”

“I don't know…I kind of see it as a challenge.”

Breakdown said with a grin.

Bee narrowed his optics once more, staring at the con with disappointment.

“Okay fine…”

Breakdown sighed.

“So…how are we going to get back up there?”

“We can go around, just be careful.”

Bee said before starting to walk.

Both mechs started walking…until Breakdown's foot slipped and he fell face first onto the cold ground.

“Ow…”

“I said to be careful….”

Bee said with a sigh before helping Breakdown stand up again.

Bee took Breakdown's servo in his own.

“How about this instead?”

Breakdown grinned.

“I'd like that~”

Both mechs carefully made their way back to the building they were staying in, giving each other a lot of kisses after.
