There was a shuffle and a knock on the bathroom door.
“Oi! I told you we’d be in here for a while. Go piss upstairs!” Ron called out to the twins.
“Ron? It’s Remus. Is everything okay?”
Ron pinked to his ears, seemingly mortified at implying he was in the bathroom with someone, to one of his professors. Harry chewed on his lips to keep his grin contained.
“Yes… Everything’s fine!” Hermione called out, and Ron’s blush bloomed dark crimson.
“Is Harry in there with you?” Sirius’ voice called out next, and Harry groaned.
Fucking great. He really didn’t need an audience for the next half hour of his life.
“Uhhh….” Ron said helpfully, and an intense whispering argument broke out between the three.
“Just send them off- say it’s just you two!”
“We’re not going to lie! Let’s just tell them we’re doing an experiment for school!”
“That won’t work at all. Lupin taught all three of us. He knows Harry and I aren’t doing summer work!”
Remus’ voice cuts in, deadpan, “Well, you should be doing your summer homework, as a refresher on the hearing capabilities of werebeasts would probably do you some good.”
