Alien to Us

Summary:

Tobio is woken up one night by an excited Shouyou telling him a metal ball has crash landed in their backyard. The metal ball opens to reveal a strange, green creature.

One that has some interesting plans for them.

Notes:

I am going through my old WIPS and trying to post as many of them as I can. The ones that have multiple chapters might never be finished, so read at your own risk. For those who read, I hope you enjoy no matter how much of it I get posted!

Chapter Text

Tobio groaned as a loud knocking sound pulled him from his sleep. He rolled over and shoved his head under his pillow, hoping to block out the obnoxious noise. Sure, he could go investigate what it was, but he honestly didn’t care. It wasn’t his problem, though it probably was Shouyou’s. But it was the middle of the night, what could his idiotic boyfriend possibly be doing at a time like this?

Tobio didn’t want to find out, he wanted to go back to sleep.

“Tobio!” he heard a muffled shout before more loud knocking noises sounded against his window. Over and over again. So many knocks and all of them so loud, that he couldn’t ignore it any longer.

He couldn’t ignore Shouyou any longer.

“What!” Tobio shouted as he sat upright, throwing his covers aside to glower at the window. The window his red haired, red faced boyfriend was hanging off of, and beating his fist against.

Tobio was shocked the idiot hadn’t broken the glass already.

“Come outside, quick, quick!” Shouyou yelled, hitting the window a few more times despite Tobio now obviously being awake. Cursing under his breath, Tobio reluctantly left the bed and pulled on his clothes. This was ridiculous. Why was Shouyou even outside in the middle of the night? And what was so damn important that he had to wake Tobio up too. Didn’t the idiot remember they had volleyball to play tomorrow? He should. They had volleyball to play everyday.

Once Tobio was fully dressed, he made his way outside, ready to knock some sense into his lover. Yeah, that was a good idea. Maybe if he knocked Shouyou out, they could both get some sleep.

“What do you want?” Tobio yelled as he slammed their front door open. “Do you know what time it is, boke?”

“Not sure, I’m guessing super late since you're such a grumpy pants,” Shouyou teased as he jogged up to him, running in place with a huge smile on his face, just out of Tobio’s reach. “That doesn’t matter though. You need to see what I found. You aren’t going to believe it!”

With that, Shouyou turned and raced away, and when he said raced, he meant raced. Tobio enjoyed his boyfriend’s athleticism, but not at three in the morning.

“Get back here!” Tobio yelled, running after him regardless of his exhaustion. He couldn’t let the idiot beat him after all, even if they were both up at an ungodly hour.

“Come on, come on!” Shouyou shouted back without turning around. "You’ve got to see this!”

“See what?” Tobio shouted as he finally caught up to Shouyou, only for the redhead to stop suddenly and throw out an arm, clothes-lining Tobio’s chest and nearly making him flip forward into the giant crater in front of them.

Wait…

Giant crater?

“What the hell is this?” Tobio asked as he gazed at the abandoned field in the back of their little farmhouse. It was normally a space overrun with dead plants. He and Shouyou used it to run and do passing drills. It was one of the reasons they’d moved out to the countryside; so that they had the space to train during their off seasons. But they sure as hell wouldn’t be able to use the field to train any longer, not with the huge smoking hole that had formed in the very center of it.

What the hell?

“I don’t know, but isn’t it super cool?” Shouyou said, bouncing on the balls of his feet as he peered down the newly-formed slope. “I couldn’t sleep so I was out here running a few laps, and then Bam! Wham! Boom! This silver thing the size of a volleyball fell right out of the sky and landed here! It almost hit me, but even an alien is no match for my speed! Which means you have no chance against me, Tobio!”

Tobio scowled at the teasing, partially because he didn’t appreciate the taunts and partially because now really wasn’t the time. A silver ball had fallen out of the sky and landed in their backyard? That was pretty serious. For a ton of different reasons.

“Did you go down and look at it?” Tobio asked, already pretty sure he knew the answer but hoping he was wrong.

“Yup!” Shouyou said cheerfully, waving his hands in the air. “It kind of looked like a volleyball too, all round and with lines on it. Except it was made of metal, and on fire a little bit. Do you think it's a space volleyball? Do you think aliens want to play with us? That would be so cool!”

Tobio hummed, that would be pretty cool. He wondered if aliens would be any good at hitting his sets, or if they had their own, space way of setting that he could learn from.

No, that was ridiculous.

Shaking his head, Tobio reached out and scruffed his nearly vibrating boyfriend, shaking him before he shouted, “Boke! Why would you go down there alone? What if it was dangerous?”

“It’s not dangerous. It’s just a metal ball!” Shouyou defended, ripping himself from Tobio’s grip before he jumped into the crater and began running towards its still smoking center. “Come on, I’ll show you.”

“Get back here!” Tobio yelled as he chased after him again, stopping when they both reached the crater’s center where the metal ball sat. Only, it wasn’t a ball anymore.

“Did it look like this a few minutes ago?” Tobio asked as he took hold of his boyfriend’s arm and slowly started dragging him backwards, back up the slope.

“Nope,” Shouyou said, his voice weak even as he popped the p.

The metal ball had opened. Its sides sliding apart into slices that revealed a light green, fluffy looking center. It looked like a super weird cat bed, one that was glowing and smoking. It looked like something had been resting inside of it.

And that something was nowhere to be seen.

“We need to get out of here,” Tobio said, tightening his grip on Shouyou and turning around, ready to race back up the crater, get in their car, and drive far, far away until whatever had happened here could be resolved safely. But when he turned around, there was someone blocking their way.

Or maybe something.

“Well, hello there,” whatever it was said, its voice smooth and almost musical. Like the creature was singing while it talked. And it had to be a creature. They didn’t have neighbors for miles, and Tobio had never met this person before. He’d never seen a person with such an unnatural expression before.

“Fine evening for a walk, isn’t it?” the thing continued, its off-putting smile only getting wider.

Tobio could only gape, his blood turning to ice in his veins as he stared back at it. The creature’s smile wasn’t the only unnatural thing about it. It was tall, at least a foot taller than himself, and when it stepped closer, Tobio realized its pale skin wasn’t skin at all. Its body was made of some sort of glowing, light green goo that shifted and swayed like water in the moonlight. It made the creature look sort of like a gemstone that had turned into a person, and then became liquid. It looked ethereal. It looked-

“You’re beautiful,” Shouyou whispered beside him, his boyfriend squeaking when he realized he’d said those words aloud.

“Why, thank you, Chibi-chan,” the creature said, its body fluidly moving into a bend and its smile going even wider, even stranger, as it leaned closer to them. Tobio wanted to lean back, but his body wouldn’t move. And if he couldn’t move himself, he definitely couldn’t move Shouyou either.

“I am very aware of my beauty, but the two of you aren’t so bad yourselves,” it complimented, its breath now ghosting over Tobio’s face. “Well, for humans at least.”

“Hey,” Shouyou yelled. The small insult seemed to break the spell over Shouyou at least, because his boyfriend was able to step forward. Being an idiot, Shouyou got even more in the creature’s face, practically growling as he asked, “What’s that supposed to mean, huh?”

“It means…” the creature began before it paused, its crystal-like eyes roving over both of them. “I'm looking forward to playing with the both of you.”

“Oh, like playing volleyball?” Shouyou asked, his demeanor shifting in an instant as he eyed the thing excitedly.

“Sure, we can do that after,” the creature said, shrugging its shoulders before its body began to shift. It grew gradually taller and taller, forcing Tobio’s head to tilt back to look at it. The base of its body, which had previously definitely been legs, fanned out and began to split, forming into strange, thick tentacles that surrounded the alien like a skirt.

It was extraordinary to watch, but also, very, very terrifying.

“After wha-” Tobio began to ask, only for a tentacle to suddenly thrust itself at him and wrap around his throat, hoisting him into the air.

High into the air.

“Let him go!” he heard Shouyou scream as he struggled, clawing at the strangely warm and soft tendril that was wrapped around him. He couldn’t breath and the grip was so tight that it hurt, but the smell coming off the tentacle was strangely relaxing. It was sort of like the candles they kept in their bedroom. The ones they always lit before sex to “set the mood” as Shoyou liked to say. Was this tentacle trying to set some sort of mood as well? Even as Tobio gulped for air, he could feel his body relaxing from it, his muscles loosening and his mind going fuzzy. His hands tried one last time to pry the tendril off of him before they fell limply to his sides.

He couldn’t move them anymore.

“Tobio!” Shouyou screamed, but Tobio couldn’t respond. The tentacle around his neck wouldn’t let him, and even if it had, he didn’t know if he could speak right now. He felt floaty and warm, his mind losing touch with what was happening while all of his muscles untensed for the first time in what felt like forever.

It was like getting the world’s greatest massage, except no one had to touch him. Well, no one except one of the single, gem-like tentacles.

“Don’t you worry, Chibi-chan. I’m not hurting him,” he heard that smooth voice say from below. “I’m just getting him nice and relaxed. He seems like the more uptight of the two of you, so I figured I’d start with him first. Are you jealous?”

“Put him down!” Shoyou cried, and Tobio could hear the tears collecting in his throat. His boyfriend's fear nearly brought him back to the surface, but one more squeeze from the tentacle, and one more whiff of that scent, and he was back under.

There was nothing to be afraid of. This was fine. Everything was fine.

More than fine.

The warmth that he’d been feeling since he’d been lifted was gradually increasing, turning into a pleasurable heat that hummed just under his skin. He felt warm and happy and incredibly sensitive. Just the breeze brushing against him made him want to moan from the sensation.

Incredible.

Tobio wanted Shoyou to feel this good too.

“Awe, but that would be so cruel,” the creature crooned, lifting Tobio even higher and swinging him back and forth, the movement making the feelings intensify somehow. “You see, your sweet boyfriend here doesn’t want to be put down. In fact, he wants you to join him. I was going to wait and have you both one at a time, but how can I deny such a sweet, selfless thought?”

“W-what?” Shouyou whispered before Tobio heard him shriek. Before he could even try and look down, he felt a smaller, very familiar, body knock against his own. Lulling his head to the side, he saw that Shoyou was now in the same position as him, his feet dangling several feet above the air with a tentacle secured around his neck. He was clawing at it, snapping his teeth as if he’d be able to bite it somehow. Tobio wanted to tell him to stop fighting, to just feel, but the only noises he was capable of making were whimpers and groans.

“Aren’t you just the cutest thing,” Tobio heard the alien say before he felt something akin to a finger stroke over his cheek. “And such beautiful blue eyes too. I do hope our children get my looks, but I’d be fine with them receiving your wondrous, blue gems. I can’t think of a lovelier mix, can you?”

What?

What was the creature talking about? What did he mean when he said ‘their children’? That didn’t make any sense. Tobio was male; he couldn’t have kids. Unless this alien thing could get pregnant? But he didn’t really want that either. He was with Shouyou, and that was the only person he would ever want to have a child with, not that they ever could.

“Ah, yes, your species is so limited like that, isn’t it,” the creature said, drawing both he and Shouyou down closer to its face. “You might not be able to have children with each other, but I assure you, you can definitely have them with me. And both of you bearing the offspring of the same being, well, that’s close enough to having children with each other, isn’t it?

Bearing offspring? They couldn’t do that. It was impossible!

“It’s very possible,” the creature answered Tobio’s thoughts once more, his unnatural smirk suddenly seeming to glow. “And I will show you how.”
