Eddie brushed his vest, looking at himself in the broken mirror. The outfit he sewed up was more nicer looking than he had expected, he looked like the future groom he was supposed to be; Eddie smiled.
Now all he needed was to find the most beautiful and perfect woman to be his bride, then we would be a wed man, with kids and the most picture perfect family one could ever see—
“the dress!” Eddie exclaimed loudly, his smile turned into a frown as his eyes grew wide.
right…he needed a dress for his future bride…
...oh Eddie you doofus!
He sighed before shaking his head like he was a mother scolding a child. walking away from the mirror, he spotted a small pile of drawings, made all by him.
he liked to draw, he wasn’t entirely sure why but it almost made him calm down. He mainly drew dresses and women, ideas for his future beloved he figured over time, he tried drawing men and suits but every time he started he would freeze, staring blankly at the paper before crumpling it up and throwing it away in the trash.
Eddie picked up the drawings and shifted through them, staring intently at each dress, clicking his tongue in frustration at some before switching to another.
“Ohh, this would do nicely..” Eddie muttered, lifting one drawing up in the air, staring at the lines with a wide smile plastered on his scarred face.
the top of the dress was drawn like a heart with sleeves holding tightly on the shoulders; the skirt was long and flowy like a flower, a thick belt wrapping around the waist..
oh it was perfect for his future bride.
but now..he needed the fabric, white fabric specifically.
Eddie set his other drawings down on a desk, folding and putting the selected dress in his pocket before setting off on an…adventure.
Eddie hummed quietly, holding bunches of clothes in his arms.
blood dripped from his pants down to the floor, creating a small trail of blood droplets, but Eddie had to find a way to get his white fabric, no? A little blood and murder won’t hurt anyone..
he opened the door with a shove of his shoulder and closing it behind him with his foot. It almost felt like a dream, making a dress for his wonderful bride.
images of his beautiful bride in the dress he’ll make for her plastered his mind, standing at the alter holding her hands in his with a wide smile—but the bride looked…fuzzy, blurry even..it almost like his memory…ahh it doesn’t matter.
Eddie kneeled onto the wooden floor, set the clothes down and his hand reached for his sewing supplies.
Eddie sighed contently with a smile. his dream was coming true, piece by piece.
The clothes were different shades of white due to time and wear, some were a bit more yellowish, some were a bit more on the grey side, some had holes, and some even had blood splattered on them as well, but that’s what cutting away is for after all!
he grabbed a pair of fabric scissors and a small pencil from his sewing kit.
Slowly, he began to Start cutting away all the blood, tracing the outline with his pencil.
the radio played mindlessly in the background as Eddie worked, cutting, drawing, cutting, over and over again.
Eddie took a deep breath, putting the pencil and the scissors away to the side and reaching for the needle along with thread.
“When I was a boy~, my mother often said to me~..” Eddie began to sing as he sewed piece after pieces together, the tread pulling the fabric together like him and his future bride..
the needle punctured the fabric over and over again, his hands steady and slow with every pull.
the clock ticked away as Eddie took his sweet time sewing, the radio played old love songs and Eddie’s voice echoed in the room as he sang with a smile.
“There we go..” Eddie chuckled, lifting the dress with him as he stood up.
oh it was just..gorgeous!
the top, the skirt, the sleeves, the belt..all of it was just perfect! Eddie smiled widely and big the longer he stared at the dress.
“Oh my beautiful bride..oh how you would love to wear this on our wedding day..” Eddie said, dreaming of how his wedding would look.
flowers and guests everywhere, celebrating him and his bride. His bride holding a bouquet of roses with a veil over their head as they walked down the aisle down to the alter where the priest would declare their love and marriage..oh he just couldn’t wait for the honeymoon…
It seemed like luck was on his side when he had spotted a mannequin being hid by a drawer.
eddie laughed. “Dont hide now..” he shook his head as he walked over and pulled it out from behind the drawer. He pulled the dress over its slim figure and dust it down.
“Have to make the dress be in good condition, Y’know?” He laughed, looking up at the mannequin before his smile faded. “Oh what am I doing?..I should be looking for my bride..”
Eddie nodded and kicked the leftover fabric as he walked towards the door.
“Soon, I’ll prepare the wedding, the alter..then my bride will be all so..so happy..” he looked behind him before leaving the room, the sound of the floor boards creaking and the thud of his footsteps growing distant.
