Takumi levels him with a small, creeping smile. “Aotsuki,” he says, voice grating and low as he advances with his sword in hand. His face is almost fully enshadowed, backlit by the purple fire raging behind him. His eyes glint like jewels in the darkness. “Look at you.”
Eito scrambles backwards, but Takumi is too swift; he raises his weapon and swings it towards Eito’s neck, pressing, digging into the flesh. He looks terrifying, and smells of predatory instincts coming to a head, and Eito feels afraid. Like a little animal skittering away from its death; faced with the black shroud that hangs over everything that’s ever lived, desperate and searching. It yearns to be filled, but its stomach is bottomless. Takumi’s expression is, for once, unreadable.
Eito is scared to die.
Eito has what can most easily be described as 'a nightmare'.
