Summary
"You know," Kaiser says, "I think you did well for yourself."
Alexis perks. Joy is unsettled from the pit of his chest.
Kaiser follows it up with: "Even though you failed as a player and everything."
The joy is stomped out. Kaiser leans across the kitchen counter and kisses him. This should be familiar; obviously, it's not the first time Kaiser has tried to manipulate him with his romantic affections. But time has passed, and they don't quite fit. All of it doesn't feel right—as if Alexis is two people at once, as if they're standing outside space and time. The rose inked on the side of Kaiser's neck blooms, but it never wilts.
"I'm not sure I want to do this," Alexis says.Or: Years after Blue Lock, Ness is an up-and-coming young referee. It's been forever since he's been in contact with Kaiser, but—years of therapy behind him—he's coping well enough. Meanwhile, Kaiser is the ever-indomitable star player, but when his performance begins to wane, he doesn't hesitate to reach out to Ness for an ego boost—a decision they'll both promptly regret.

Summary
Nagi and Reo were best friends; they did everything together. Winning soccer matches together, gaming, lazy afternoons spent watching the clouds drifting by. They were great together, perfect even. Throughout the change in seasons, their friendship started to shift into something more, their love an inevitability rather than a what if.
Except, that love never got the chance to come to fruition due to Nagi's untimely death in a freak accident. With his heart shattered and torn apart at the seams, Reo struggles to find meaning after losing Nagi, that is until he is approached by an angel with an uncanny resemblance to the best friend he'd just lost. More than that, this specter of Nagi represents a second chance at the love he'd lost, and Reo will be damned if he were to ever let that go.
