Summary
Harry Potter was ordinary. (According to himself.) Harry Potter was a freak. (According to everyone else.) Harry Potter had no friends, nothing good to look forward to in his life, and generally no feelings about much of anything.
One day, he meets Frank. Frank helps Harry take charge of his life. He helps him find out what he wants and take what he wants. Frank shows Harry how good some feelings are… like vengeance, and how good it feels to fight back when you have been so very, very wronged in life. With Frank’s help, Harry turns from an ordinary boy into something more, something that will strike fear in the hearts of his enemies... The Scourge.
~ Where The Punisher steals a child and raises him in his own (violent) image, helping him get his revenge in a distinctly non-magical way. (Also with a lot of sarcastic wit.) ~

“What are you?” Kilgrave wonders aloud, breathless, his nail beds white with pressure where they're clamped around Will's skull, flattening his hair.
“A former FBI profiler, an unstable special agent. A mental patient, a fisherman. A murderer. A patchwork psyche stitched together. A broken, blood-drenched nobody. One half of a whole.”
“And an aspiring poet, apparently,” Kilgrave quips, releasing Will's head in order to ever-so-slowly pull Will's glasses from his face, fold them, and slide them into his own pocket. “Well now, I do believe you're worth keeping. At least for the time being. Will, Jessica...come along.”

Hannibal is locked up in the Baltimore Asylum for the Criminally Insane. Supposedly he's in maximum security but he pretty much just breaks out and leaves any time it suits him.
And it suits him to break out whenever he thinks Will needs him.
I mean, they forgot Will's birthday! Come on, wouldn't you?
