Summary
The Daorsken line was an ancient Valyrian house most known and recognized for their lineage's blood magic prowess. After the Doom only a few houses survived and the Daorskens were shattered with just two descendants surviving. Thousands of years later, the Daorsken house reestablished themselves and their place in the realm now with dozens of descendants.
Truly a flourishing house yet again. Until late 196 AC. The Blackfyre Rebellion.
Violyra remains the only living Daorksen after the rebellion. After Aegon legitimized his legion of bastards, the Daorksen house made a stand against the Targaryens opposed to their churlish rein. They fought well but not well enough.
Violyra Daorsken, after being hidden at Dragonstone for three and ten years following the rebellion, makes her journey to King's Landing to unite her house with the Targaryens. It was the only path for Violyra to exist without the threat of the end of the family line, a threat from the Targaryens at least. Violyra's journey to her betrothed, Valarr Targaryen, begins 208 AC.

Drogon disappears with his mother, and the six kingdoms plus the north are still suffering. Bran takes up ruling, but they all soon discover that old horrors are not as dead as they once thought. Meanwhile, Dany wakes on the Dothraki sea, and sets out to find her footing in a world that seems to have no place for dragons. No place, that is, until the past comes calling to ask for help. All of those who remain learn that there are more ghosts in the world then they'd like, and unresolved problems don't simply disappear. As usual, it's politics and horror in Westeros.
Also, a note about the Jonerys tag: Jonerys is endgame, but this does contain some Daario/Dany early in the story. For more detail please see the conversation with QuantumButterfly in the comments on Ch. 20. Thanks! Also, smut doesn't happen until ch. 27.
