Summary
The fickle nature of humans had been something Tim had been warned about early on in his training. So quick to change course, so easily slighted and unforgiving, yet he could hardly believe it was anything more than an exaggeration to prepare him for potential interlopers who might try to corrupt his charges.
After all, he’d sworn he wouldn’t ever get too attached, how could he? They struggled to survive beyond 80 years, and when they did pass, if he was successful, it’d be an eternity with no memory of him.
And if he failed… it was an eternity of a different kind.After centuries of training a young angel is given his first carriage, with the knowledge that those above expect him to fail.
