Summary
It is ironic how one small thing could easily alter the course of a person's fate so much. For Shen Jiu, a rock in the pebble decided the miserable fate he would then on be forced to live on. He could only stand by and watch helplessly as his loved ones fell one by one as a result of his actions. His world turns black when he sees the shards of his former sworn brother thrown at him by the monster he had created with his very hands. Having truly lost everything he swallows the shards down taking his own life.
Just as the last bits of his conscience were about to fade though a booming voice rings throughout the cold grounds of the prison cell "Like hell, I'll let this happen!"

The former scholar had no one who would pray for him or think of him only those who would love to spit over whatever remained of his name. Eventually, they too will also forget him over time as they stomp over what remains of his infamous name
That was when he could feel a faint glow coming from his sword
No, he was wrong he did have someone who would miss him. Xiu Ya, his sword, his partner, his constant companion, and in a sense his one and only true friend
Shen Jiu chuckles as he spoke in inaudible words he hoped would reach his sword "Thank you Xiu Ya for always being by my side and I'm sorry for not being able to become the master that you deserve. Truly you were wasted on me. But even so, I was happy that you were my sword. Goodbye my friend"
As the final pieces of his consciousness left his body he swears he could hear the sword wailing out for him at the same time he could hear another enraged voice booming inside his ears "Like hell, I'll let this happen!"
That was when he could feel his body being enveloped in a warm gentle light that for some reason seemed oddly familiar to him. He floated in the white space for a while until he was forced to awaken inside a tree???

The locals were the only people who seem to bear the strongest resemblance with their other regional counterparts. But perhaps with so many coming all over the land these people indefinitely also had their fair share of foreign ancestry mixed into their bloodlines
He met people who had a similar shade of green eye color that the Qing Jing Peak Lord possessed...
It made him wonder if perhaps his martial brother might have had also foreign blood inside him. After all, now that he looks back on it in his past life he had never once seen someone other than his Shixiong who had such beautiful serene jade eyes anywhere. This made people assume that he must be some noble child of a high aristocratic family blessed with good fortune
Curious he followed them around. Unfortunately, he couldn't ask them anything as they spoke in an entirely different language that Liu Zhiqian couldn't understand a single word of

A demon bleeding can also become the start of a courtship practice.
“Are you going to make me bleed, little cultivator?”
The sword nearly broke the skin before Shen Jiu scoffed again and with a quick hand sign the sword resheathed itself. The thrumming feel of ice at his throat had him grinning.
A petulant scowl was his only answer. “Answer the question, Junshang.” Shen Jiu had truly mastered the art of being annoyed, much to his continued amusement.
“Curiosity mainly. Human’s can be quite fascinating.”
Those shoulders tensed before relaxing. Shen Jiu kept his arms crossed again as he lost some anger. “Doubtful, humans are rotten and predictable, never interesting.”
Tianlang Jun raised an eyebrow. What has the mortal world done to Shen Jiu to provoke such a response? “Truly. This venerable one finds them unpredictable.”
He stepped warily closer as a hand rose and mindlessly played with the magnolia blossoms that were blooming around them. “Shen Jiu seems to disagree vehemently. This one can’t help but wonder.”
A true statement as Shen Jiu rolled his eyes again and turned around. “This one doubts you would figure it out. Stay away from Huan Hua. Of all the sects they are the worst.”
Tianlang Jun had blinked at the random statement and placed it out of his mind. Huan Hua was annoying, but even he knows better than to get involved with those golden robed prideful bastards.
********
Tianlang Jun couldn’t help but curse himself for not following Shen Jiu’s warning.
He’ll admit, his love for Su Xiyan was unparalleled. He loved his little spitfire, but now rotting under Bailu Mountain he can’t help but curse her. She played him like a zither all for the whims of the disgusting palace master.
He should’ve listened to Zhilang who was worried that the cultivator would hinder his bid to unite the demon realm. He should’ve listened to that random warning Shen Jiu gave him.
********
“Lady Oracle.” Tianlang Jun greeted as the oracle spider turned towards Sha Hualing once again. This time the orb in her hand lit up a cooling onyx color, meaning something was playing with fate and time. “It seems something brought you out of your nest.”
“Yes, Junshang. There is someone here that mocks fate and time. A person who cursed someone who was meant to be a godling . Whose fate was skewed that the Heaven’s Eye cries.”
Tianlang Jun sat up straighter. For the Heaven’s Eye to shed tears. Whoever it was that the person had cursed, the Heavens will not stand for it.
His eyes landed on Sha Hualing, as did all the others.
“What did you do you ungrateful bitch?!” The sister that tossed Sha Hualing down stood, her eyes alight as silver claws grew.
“I’m innocent.” Sha Hualing did not back down as she turned her glare to the oracle spider. “Whatever happened he deserved it!”
“ He ?” Tianlang Jun raised an eyebrow as he leaned forward. “Remember, one little lie to the oracle spider and they have the right to bleed you dry. Tread carefully.”
Sha Hualing looked down as she bit her rouge painted lips. Blood began to drip as her fangs broke the skin. “He-He deserved it.” The demoness was finally seeing the reality of the situation.
“No, he did not.” The oracle spider bared her own fangs as the orb glowed once again. This time more ominous. More threatening . How tragic was it for a born godling to fall?
“May this one ask who exactly it is you speak of?” Tianlang Jun respectfully asked the oracle spider. When she looked at him the orb glowed a vibrant silver. Interesting. His own fate was meant to withstand a tribulation. How annoying, he despised going through those.
“The ghost that burns ice. The one who faced tribulation, succeeded, but fell prey to the whims of a tyrant.” The oracle spider’s eyes glowed as her orb released a very familiar green before it shattered. “Shen Qingqiu, but this one supposes Junshang remembers him as Shen Jiu.”
The second the name was called an insistent pounding in his head overtook him. His advisors both called out as his nephew leapt over the seats, seamlessly transforming into his giant snake form. Protecting him as unconsciousness called to him.

Peter Parker is nothing. He used to be something, mean something, and then he fucked up. He had everything, the whole world; two best friends, his Aunt May, and even a new budding father-like figure in Tony Stark. Now, though? He had nothing.
No more late night lab visits with Mr. Stark, hacking into government websites and building new stupid nanotech bots that vacuum the floor only if you beg it and sound like a certain Captain, or robots that twisted in all angles like infinity cubes to play ultimate twister with. No more study sessions with MJ, listening to old punk rock bands and doodling in the margins. No more lego building with Ned, building and taking apart and building that Lego Death Star dozens of times in his bedroom.
And, worst of all, no Aunt May to wake him up on his bad days with a worried frown on her lips and a fresh hot chocolate in her hands to warm him.
OR
Peter Parker ends up in Gotham, an alternative universe, with soulmates and weird smells.
OR
Peter is thrown into an omegaverse. He hates it. Start scene.
OR
Angst. Lots of it, good angst, and lots of healing and happy moments. Suffering to be saved. Soulmates. Hiding. Fun!

“What happened to your hand?” Damian stepped in front of Peter, blocking him from moving any further. Blinking, Peter looked at Damian, watched him find the white gauze with calculating eyes. Peter moved his hand out of view, covered by his other hand. Why did he sound like he cared?
The lie came easily, practiced. “Just, not good at cooking.” The excuse he’d tell his boss once he realized. Maybe tell Cass, if she came in and he couldn’t sign properly.
“Did you disinfect it?” Damian asked. Peter ignored the odd look Barbara was giving Damian, looking between the two as if perplexed. “The wrap looks good. Did someone do it for you?”
Peter blinked, suddenly feeling warm at the care. “Oh, uhm, yeah. I wrapped it.” He ignored the look both of them gave him at that. Ignored how Barbara nearly snapped her neck with how fast she looked at Damian, who just ignored her.
“And yet, you are going to work like that?” The boy raised an eyebrow, disbelieving, voice firm. “That’s a stupid idea.”
Peter tensed, feeling his shoulders lock into place at the sudden… harsh tone. Something in him hurt from that, that tone of voice. The words that left his mouth. It made him feel ashamed. Like he did something wrong.
Damian looked at him, really looked at him. “Sorry, I don’t mean stupid.” Barbara's eyes nearly popped out of her head. “I just am trying to say that you going into work injured is a bad idea.”
Peter’s mind was stuck on Jason's words. White in his hair, green eyes. Peter knew his white streak was hidden. You had to be looking to even catch a glimpse. The eyes, though? Peter’s eyes… they were brown?
His mind went to school. To the library, to Damian, whose hand grabbed his jaw, turning Peter to face him. The cool, yet warmth, from his fingers. The concern in his face, which went from Peter’s eyes to his hair. Did Damian see something Peter didn’t see?
The ghosts of fingers on his jaw felt like a warning.
“No!” The man yelled, like he believed it. Peter glared. “He just ran. I chased him, obviously. He’s like me. I didn’t think that was possible! And, holy shit, the instincts that hit me. You know how I’ve been, since the Pit.”
“Yeah, angry.” Dick, the brother, said. He laughed, a bit disbelieving. “What, did a kid make you territorial or something?”
Jason made a low sound, then, unhappy. Like a growl, not like a dog, more of a groan. A sound of being not listened to. People did that a lot here, didn’t they? “No! Fuck, Dick. He was so small.” His voice broke, then. Peter just blinked, aghast. What? Small? “Skinny, trying to buy a jacket before he ran out. Before I scared him–I don’t know, Dick. It was weird. So weird. I feel like… no, I need to make sure the kid is okay. He’s like me, and he’s all alone. Can you keep an eye out, please?”
The man on the other line paused. “Sure, what’s he look like?”
“Brown hair, brown eyes. Skinny and pale. Dick, he’s, he’s scentless. Not even the scent of a mother or father on him. I don’t know if that's some sort of disease, or if he is sick and alone and undead.” Jason took a lighter out of his jacket pocket. Then a cigarette.
A hum. “I thought he had green eyes?”
Yeah, Peter was thinking the same thing.
A flicker of a lighter. “They changed, Dick. I… I don’t know what that means.” He lit the cigarette, bringing it to his mouth. Taking a puff, letting it out. “I have a bad feeling about this, Dick.”
“Don’t worry, your big brothers got this, Jason!” A few moments of silence, a taut goodnight. The beep of a hang-up.
Jason sighed, banged his head against the wall, and looked up to gaze at the moon.
Peter and Jason met eyes. The man dropped his cigarette, falling to the concrete. Welp. That's gotta be Peter’s own fault, not fleeing when he could.
“Shit, kid. How the hell are you up there?” Jason turned, fully facing Peter, looking to try and find the way Peter made it up there. Loose bricks, anything. Peter just laughed.
Peter was getting sick and tired of this universe and its curve balls. “My eyes, they turned green?” He asked, voice raw. Numb, almost. His eyes burned. Green?
Jason paused his search, staring up at Peter. “Yeah?” He said, like a question, almost pained. “Listen, kid, I can help you. I’m from the Pit, too.” He sounded desperate.
“I’m not from the Pit. I don’t even know what that is.” Peter glared, and he inched upwards. Jason seemed to notice then that Peter was hanging to the wall with just his fingertips. He took a sharp intake of breath.

“Engineering didn’t exactly need to be neat,” Shen Jiu shook his head. “And do you think they would notice your fashion sense and follow? Only Fashion major does that.”
“Yes, but I can’t beat them up to make them learn,” unfortunately. “So I can only use this method to make them realize. So far, it’s working nicely,” Liu Qingge said as he pulled on his tie and fiddled with it. He usually had his sister to do this for him, but earlier this morning, Liu Mingyan had gone off early for some business.
“What are you tugging on it for? You tied them wrong in the first place, here,” Shen Jiu furrowed his brows as he brought his hand towards Liu Qingge’s tie and untied them before redo-ing it.
Liu Qingge only watched as Shen Jiu’s dainty hands worked on his tie before he finished it.
“Ehem!”
Both men jumped when they heard the sharp cough and they turned to see Liu Mingyan and Luo Binghe stood not far away. Luo Binghe seemed to be the one who cleared his throat.
Liu Mingyan patted her chest to calm her rapidly beating heart before she smiled, “Brother, teacher Shen, what’s wrong?” She asked gently.
“Nothing. He just fixed my tie,” Liu Qingge said.
“Oh, brother. Sorry, I forgot to prepare the already tied one for you,” Good riddance, she should do it more often.
“It’s true, you even cried. What’s wrong with you?” Liu Qingge asked.
Shen Jiu brought his hand up to his cheek and he withdrew it when he felt something wet on his cheek, he blankly stared. “I... I cried?” Shen Jiu asked disbelievingly.
The others looked at each other, solemn.
“Zhuzhi-Lang...” Shen Jiu murmured and the others looked at him, surprised. Luo Binghe’s face soured.
Zhuzhi-Lang immediately pushed through the crowd and smiled at Shen Jiu, “That’s my name,” he said.
Shen Jiu inhaled and exhaled, his eyes flickered as if he remembered something but it quickly disappeared with a feeling of clueless frustration. “Zhuzhi-Lang... General... Demon?” He murmured to himself before he shook his head.
Yue Qingyuan put his hand on Shen Jiu’s shoulder, “What is it?” Yue Qingyuan asked gently.
“No, nothing,” Shen Jiu shook his head as he looked at Zhuzhi-Lang.
“Let’s go home, then,” Yue Qingyuan coaxed. Yue Qingyuan nodded at them and they all nodded back. Half of them followed Yue Qingyuan and Shen Jiu to go home whilst the other half stayed.
The people who were left all looked at each other, “Did you think... Shen-shixiong just now recalled something?” Qi Qingqi asked her martial brothers.
“Most likely,” Wei Qingwei nodded.
“That means, the memory could be recovered?” Ye Qingjiu asked.
“Most probably. However...” Zhang Qingxu looked at Zhuzhi-Lang who was now in another staring contest with Luo Binghe. “Why did Shen-shixiong reacted to him but not to us?”
Luo Binghe gnashed his teeth when he heard that, a feeling of fiery jealousy rose in his chest and he just wanted to stab this whatever-demon-general with Xin Mo which sadly was not with him.
Zhuzhi-Lang looked away from Luo Binghe to look at the remaining peak lords, “What do you mean?” he asked.
“Ah,” Qi Qingqi nodded. “Well, our shixiong actually didn’t have his memory of past life. He was clueless, so... Probably wouldn’t be a good idea if you brought up the past era to him.”
Zhuzhi-Lang stared, “What...?” His memory was gone? Poor him! How could it be gone?!

Shen Qingqiu made a shooing motion at him. “Alright, go on!”
The pair of them stood at the foot of Cang Qiong Mountain, far from the Main Entrance and the popular spots used by disciples to sneak in and out. For a border between mortals and mystical cultivators, the hillside looked innocuous, almost boring.
“Come on, run along!” Shen Qingqiu was on the brink of throwing a stick and hoping his disciple sprinted after it. Why won’t the stubborn fool move already?
“Must I leave, Shizun?” Luo Binghe asked in a lost voice.
“I already explained that your parting is unavoidable.”
Luo Binghe frowned. “You did?”
“To Bingbing,” Shen Qingqiu huffed. Though the little tyke hadn’t exactly made an attentive audience, distracted as he’d been by chewing up a tassel gifted to him by Ning Yingying.
“That’s…” Luo Binghe trailed off. He screwed his eyes shut in concentration. “I cannot recall the past—what was it? Four months?—clearly. I only know that whenever I was with Shizun I felt… safe. Warm.” He opened his eyes, a wondering, awed smile flitting across his face. “Happy. Very much happy.”
“Well. That is that and this is this,” Shen Qingqiu mumbled from behind his fan. He was not hiding! He simply felt like covering most of his face. For aesthetics. “This master is not a monster, so of course I would be more, ah, lenient with a baby. Toddler. You could toddle, so it must be the second, yes? I never ended up checking.” Mortified by his sudden bout of rambling, Shen Qingqiu bit the tip of his tongue.
Placing a hand against his heart, Luo Binghe bowed towards his master. “This disciple thanks Shizun for his kindness.” He straightened up. “And I would gracelessly ask for even more of it. Please, Shizun, is there truly no place for me by your side?”
The little beast’s voice wobbled on the last word, and Shen Qingqiu had to clench every muscle in his body not to act on the instinctive reaction ingrained into him in the past months and to swoop in with a comforting head pat.
“Shizun, Zhangmen-shibo is here for a visit!” Ming Fan announced through the closed door.
“Tell him I’m out!” Shen Qingqiu shouted back.
A beat of awkward silence. Ming Fan cleared his throat. “Um, my apologies, Zhangmen-shibo, Shizun seems to be, uh, not here at the moment.”
“I see. Truly a shame,” came Yue Qingyuan’s placid reply.
Shen Qingqiu pinched the bridge of his nose and stoutly ignored the muffled snickers of his weiqi opponent. Standing up with a sigh, he stalked over to the door and yanked it open.
“Ming Fan, how many times have I told you not to let visitors past the main door?”
“Many apologies, Shizun, but this disciple can’t—to stop the Sect Leader is. . .” stuttered Ming Fan, nervously wringing his hands as he glanced between the two Peak Lords.
“Don’t be too hard on him, Qingqiu-shidi,” said Yue Qingyuan, which was as good as an admission that Ming Fan had tried to keep him out, but he’d mercilessly bullied his way inside with affable, poisonous politeness.
Overbearing, sticky bastard.
