One of the best Lucifer fanfics in existence. Practically perfect. Chloe’s past going undercover for Vice as a criminal’s girlfriend comes back to haunt our idiots during the period of Eve.
Dialogue is spot on, the plot works well, and the angst and self-esteem issuesare top-notch. The teasing until the slow burn finally ignites is 🔥, and Chapter 12 belongs in a smut museum. A soupçon of fluff at the end for dessert.

“Tell me what you need, Chloe,” he whispered, without much emotion behind the words. His arms were strong around her, holding her still, upright, an effortless hold. He was rigid, not pliant, and he didn’t melt against her frame more than provide a hard surface to pull her towards.
“You know what I want,” she hissed, anger flooding in. She hated when he made her say it, hated when he reduced her to a mess that wasn’t allowed to beg for what she wanted. She hated it, and that made her love him more for it. He was perfect in that sense. He broke her down perfectly, then put her back together in the way only he knew how to do.
