“You’re shitting me,” said Kaveh.
“What?” Cyno tilted his head.
Kaveh held out his phone. Cyno and Tighnari leaned over until the sides of their heads were touching as they read the message.
Tighnari jerked away. “Al-Haitham sent you that?”
“I didn’t know he had it in him,” said Cyno.
“Had what?”
“A charitable soul.”

Summary
For Beidou, it’s all just the same as every other job, except her cargo is human. Well, until the boy opens his mouth and she starts to feel things she never has before.
She’s not mother material. Hasn’t ever wanted to be a mother. Didn’t even consider it. But the universe knows better, and she finds herself every bit the mother she never thought she’d be.
Now, if only there was a way to explain this to Ningguang that wouldn’t result in mocking laughter and a great deal of smugness.

Summary
"If you hate me just half as much as you're making it seem," Alhaitham points out, "I'd say it's time to look for another landlord."
Kaveh's vermillion eyes gloss over, his jaw tight. "You keep saying that," he hisses through his teeth, his voice coming out small and unsure, "You keep suggesting that I leave."
"You know very well that I prefer being on my own, and you're worth at least five people on a good day."
Alternatively: Kaveh leaves for good after a particularly vicious fight between them, but Alhaitham is okay with it.
Until he isn’t.

Summary
"Haha! You look just like someone I know," he chuckles, his voice a bit too soft compared to what the scribe is used to.
"It's me, Kaveh. Let me into the house," he tells. Clearly his vocal chords have no idea what syllables are, though, because he ends up with three drawled out meows that make absolutely no sense. His ears flatten against his head. Annoying.
"Pshht," Kaveh snorts, pulling the cat to his chest, "Goodness gracious; you're just as grumpy too. What were you trying to get inside for?"
"This is my house."
"Meow meow indeed," Kaveh singsongs.
Alternatively: Alhaitham turns into a cat. Kaveh is too much of a kind soul not to take him in.

My Vision feels off."
The scribe's does, too – shivers as if it's alive, blooming with dendro particles. Some mysterious effect born from the statue above them, perhaps? Doesn't seem like anything foul – it actually offers quite the pleasant sensation, like a cat's leisurely purr – so he leaves it be for the moment.
"If your vision is off, then maybe you need to wear glasses," Alhaitham provokes. Wouldn't that be adorable.
"Of course it would be adorable; I'm always adorable, you dimwit."
"Don't flatter your—"
Alhaitham stops. Did he… say that out loud?
Alternatively: It turns out that bickering beneath the statue of an archon with mind reading abilities when you don't mean the half of what you say is a terrible idea.
