"Gather your strength, Daeron. I will get you to the Ford of Bruinen.”
“Will you swear it, kinslayer?” Daeron asked, voice heavy with irony and with something else Maglor couldn’t quite identify.
He paused for a moment. Then he said, “Yes.” -

Summary
Lieb stared at the Ring in the palm of his remaining hand; gold serpents, one devouring the other, and one supporting a crown of flowers. He had always thought it was silly device and ugly, but now- the serpents’ emerald eyes glittered at him knowingly.
See, they seemed to hiss. You cannot run so far, you can never truly escape.
In the far North, the Ring of Barahir is given by the Last King of Arnor to Lieb Olmai of the Lossoth in gratitude for their aid. Lieb has been amongst the Lossoth for more than an Age of Men. In a previous life, he was once Maedhros.
Láilá is Anerea's wonderful character- we have been riffing off each other's fics and I have had this in mind for some time. Her fic is here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/43897992
