Harry tore his eyes away from the man on the catwalk. The merry party of wizards were advancing on him with Moody at the helm, leaving Uncle Vernon to smoulder a few metres away. He was asked if he was ready to go, which he didn't respond to. He simply let Moody's gnarly, root-like hand clamp onto his shoulder and lead him away.
They followed all the way to Uncle Vernon's Mercedes. Some of them gave Harry hugs while other whispered reassurances that they'd see each other again soon. That the weeks would fly by and that they would come to get him before he knew it. But Harry knew very well that he was doomed. He knew that this would be the last he ever saw of any of them.

“Yeah,” Jim agreed, “whats it called when you too want to kill your best friend’s dad?” he asked.
“I believe that is just murder, Jim.” Spock said, then paused, and amended his statement, “Though given my father’s status, the more correct term would be assassination.”
“Darn.” Jim mumbled as he moved a pawn.
“Indeed.” Spock agreed.

When he decides to finally court the bard, it doesn't quite go as expected, and he finds out just why it is so easy for Jaskier to flirt with death.---000---
Geralt tilts his head to listen, the corner of his mouth twitching upward. The bard has been flirting with him for weeks now, exclaiming he could just die, all over Oxenfurt. At first, Geralt thought the man was being dramatic and didn’t know what he was doing, but no one is that theatrical.
“Little shit at it again?” Lambert grouses. “Just fucking court him already, pretty boy. Or I might just do it for you.”

They do not… talk about it.
There had been melds, and endless apologies, and immediate forgiveness on both of their parts. But they have not spoken about the particulars of that day. Of Spock, losing his temper, out of his mind with grief, putting his hands on Jim in a violent fashion.
As t’hy’la, it made sense afterwards; Jim challenging him and Spock taking the bait, striking out at the one person in the room who saw the danger of him losing control and promptly ignored it. But the feeling of his fists impacting Jim’s body, of his throat being crushed beneath his firm Vulcan grip, still caused Spock to wake in a cold sweat at night.
“We don’t have to do this one.” Jim says softly. “I know it’s a… sensitive subject.”
