Summary
Castiel is trying to move on and come to terms with his grief after Jack's death.
He didn't plan to stumble across a case that forced him to face Dean's anger again, he didn't mean to faint when he used his power to heal a frightened boy and he absolutely didn't expect to learn that in the gnawing emptiness he feels, life could still grow.
Now he has to deal with having a child so soon after losing Jack. How can he trust that it's going to be different this time, that this child will not step out of line and turn from child to monster in the eyes of its father? It seems impossible, but with some counseling from auntie Rowena Dean and Cas try to make it work. -

Summary
Castiel's first time back in the Orion system in years is for the singular purpose of being mated off to his family’s advantage. Bracing himself for the longest two weeks of his life turns into something else, when he learns that the Omega he had a literal run-in with on the day he arrived is technically a crown prince. Dean has a similar issue of his own to contend with. Just because his parents don’t intend to force him into a political marriage doesn’t mean a small army of officials and rich merchants don’t want to try anything. They hatch a plan, pretending to court each other, knowing the other would be a dream match for their respective lines. It works well, too well. Castiel hadn’t expected to start really caring for Dean, much less for it to be mutual.

Summary
Castiel was dead. Again. And it was all Dean's fault.
After failing to drink himself into an early grave, Dean finds a little resolve to pick himself back up and do the right thing: save people. With Sam and Jack by his side, and a little help from a few other survivors, they take on Chuck, restore the world, the multiverse, and everything's back to the way it oughta be.
Everything but Castiel, that is.
Dean clings to a death wish five miles wide after that. And he gets that wish, dying on a hunt. But the worst is yet to come when he wakes up and finds himself in the Empty. And he's not alone.

Summary
While the ability to overhear the secret thoughts of the people around him was distracting at best and anxiety-inducing at worst, Castiel had found ways to cope that included a pair of noise-canceling headphones and burying himself in his PhD research. After hearing inner thoughts for his entire life, there were very few things he overheard that surprised him anymore. So imagine his shock when his roommate Sam's brother, Dean, came to stay with them. While Dean may have been able to keep a straight face on the outside, his inner thoughts told a much different story.
