In which Jack is on the phone, fighting with Bunny over something like he always does and Elsa is—for lack of better words and patience—judging the shit out of him.
Until he says something and she accidentally laughs at him, which turned into a full blown coughing situation because she was mid-sip, to which he had to hangup to help her recover from.
He also now knows she was eavesdropping on his conversation. (Even though it wasn’t by choice, even though she’d rather be reading her book in peace and be anywhere but at the table next to his).

She shakes her head and he can’t help but notice a loose strand from her braid, lazily done and lazily slumped over her shoulder.
It takes all of him to not look too long at her exposed collarbones.
“Jack?” She calls out to him. “I don’t have any questions, we can start now.”
He looks back up at her and for some reason—for some fucking terrible, weird, creepy, reason—he decides he can’t—that he doesn’t have it in him—to continue this goddamn interview.

When he decides to disappear on a “solo camping trip” and run away to Canada, he figures it’s the perfect plan that will make everybody happy. He didn’t expect the Waynes would tag along with him and ruin everything.
A six-chaptered tale filled with identity shenanigans, s’mores, soon-to-be-brothers, and a kid who is in desperate need of a new family.

However, the two had previously gone on a blind date- that had gone well but they had both ghosted one another due to their jobs- and it leaves the both of them to question each other’s morals and honesty. Now, the two must put aside their differences to stop and capture the bad guy.

Aurelia’s crying again. For the third time in the last thirty minutes. Jack doesn’t know if Elsa can take much more of this– her sleep is interrupted enough as is. He didn’t know exactly how many postpartum symptoms there were before they actually had the baby, and how greatly these symptoms would exacerbate her already present insomnia and anxieties, and for the third time in the last thirty minutes, he gets up to soothe both of his loves back to sleep.
