"You're not helping people! You're being a burden, is what you are. A burden to me, to May, to all the people who rely on you to be healthy and safe," Tony snaps furiously.
Peter freezes as Tony's words register in his head... A burden...? Tony thought of him as a burden? Peter always had his insecurities but to hear Tony say that... hurt. A lot.
Tony must have realized his mistake quick because he sighs tiredly and tries, "Kid.."
Hearing the guilt in Tony's voice immediately switched Peter's hurt to anger.
"I already know that, Tony.. You're not special for saying that. So, Thanks for that. Karen, Hang up."
"Peter wait-"
Tony's voice is cut off by Karen hanging up the phone.
