He remained there, nestled against Chuuya, letting the quiet, steady rhythm of his partner's breathing soothe him, lulling him into something he could almost call peace. The gentle rise and fall of Chuuya’s chest was a calming cadence, grounding him in a way he had forgotten existed. Minutes? Hours? He didn’t know how long they stayed like that; time lost all meaning. For the first time in what felt like forever, Dazai didn’t feel like he was drowning in his own chaos. He felt… anchored.
