These stories do not share continuity. Even "Endurance" and "Remembrance" are more like a pair of related thought-experiments than a story and its sequel.

Also, just FYI, I don't think Susan's survival -- and yes, I am quite sure she survived; there was no reason for her to have been on the train or at the station -- is a problem. Nor is it a tragedy... at least not in comparison to every other character in the series. She is the one and only person who makes it out alive! She suffers a terrible loss, true, but she still has her entire life ahead of her, to shape however she pleases. I cannot see that as a bad thing.

The real problem is what Lewis did to everyone else.
