I, and many Iliad scholars besides, had always been fascinated by Hector's decision to let Paris keep Helen. As Priam's heir and the Trojans' premiere warrior, Hector might have been the only one able to convince Paris to return Helen to Troy, but Hector never had this discussion with Paris. There are reasons put forth, not the least of which was that the Achaeans were coming anyway, but I'd always thought there were other, less...honorable reasons for Hector's failure to try and curb the desires of his spoiled brother.

Notes:

The stories were written as stand-alones which weave into a series, therefore they're not stringently serialized.

In keeping with the tone of the poem, the stories strive for the mythic rather than the prosaic. So, caveat lector.
