Summary
In a prehistoric world, herbivores and carnivores live separated by a fragile peace treaty signed two hundred years ago.
Among them is Legoshi, a young gray wolf, timid, kind, and insecure, living with the constant guilt of his predatory nature. Meanwhile, Haru, an albino dwarf rabbit, survives alone in the village.
Everything changes when Haru ventures too far into the forest. A forgotten hunting trap is triggered, ensnaring her and leaving her wounded and terrified. Legoshi finds her. Driven by instinct, the young wolf gets too close… the scent of blood overwhelms him, and for a moment he feels the urge to attack. But he manages to restrain himself. Instead of hunting her, he frees her and protects her, helping her back to the edge of the forest.
From that moment on, something changes within him. Legoshi begins to dream of Haru, of her fragility and her defiant gaze. She doesn't know if what she feels is desire, curiosity, or… something deeper. Haru, for her part, is confused: a carnivore who could have killed her, but didn't. That plants a seed of doubt within her, and a strange attraction.

He did not want to be seen in such vulnerability, but his apartment was as empty as it always was, and so, why the irrational urge to hold the crying back? “Crying is a natural mechanism for releasing stress-related hormones,” he had told Kaveh years before. “Why are you resisting? Cry. There is no rational reason why you should be embarrassed.”
How stupid he had been. Even with no audience, the thought of letting his sadness overflow from his head onto the physical realm seemed daunting, and he simultaneously tried to prevent the flow of tears while letting them happen. A broken, choked sound escaped his throat, and it took him a moment to realise it was his own sob. It sounded foreign to his ears, but they kept escaping his tightly shut lips, until he found himself too exhausted to fight the instinct.

Grace is desperately touch-starved and suffering from constant nightmares about the day he was forced onto the Hail Mary against his will. Rocky will fix, and Grace will discover some deep-seated truths about himself along the way.
So basically this is me dumping everything possible onto my traumatised space cinnamon roll Ryland Grace, who is not a real human and is actually every single anxiety disorder stacked on top of one another, wearing a trenchcoat and crying. But it's OK, because Rocky is a very clever Eridian, and he will fix his leaky space blob whatever it takes. Mostly film canon but elements taken from the book. I'll leave an apology here in advance, you'll probably need it.
