Summary
Kristen’s sleeping peacefully by her side, star-fished and hogging two-thirds of the bed, so it can’t be her. And Tracker’s lived with Jawbone for long enough that she knows his scent backwards, so it’s not him either.
Gently, careful not to disturb Kristen, Tracker sits up and extricates herself from the sheets. She pads to the doorway and pauses, listening, before heading towards the bathroom. She knocks on the door with two knuckles.
“Adaine?” she calls quietly.
or: Adaine has an upset stomach, and Tracker is a nicer-than-sisters sister.

Summary
“Gorgug, are you…are you scared?”
“Scared?” Gorgug pauses to think about it. He’s angry, sure. Uncomfortable, yeah. Worried, probably. But fear hasn’t really factored into the equation. “Not really.”
“Oh. Pfft, yeah, me neither.”

Summary
Necessities in hand, Fig returns. She passes Kristen her plastic cutlery and sets the maple syrup in between them. Behind her, Gilear retreats back to his bedroom, probably to nurse his yogurt in peace.
Kristen looks at Fig in that goofy way she does before a joke. With a dramatic movement, she drizzles syrup over her waffles. “I baptize you in the name of the Sun, the Grain, and the Holy Growth. Acorn.”
Fig narrows her eyes, mouth split in an expectant grin. “What?”

Summary
The Mordred Manor gang invite the rest of the Bad Kids on their trip to the beach to celebrate the last heat wave of the summer. Before they go, Riz, Kristen, and Adaine hit up fantasy Target to do some swimsuit shopping. Riz feels...weird about it. His friends make it better.
or: a beach day fic that's 80% shenanigans and 20% friends being there for each other, and only 30% of it actually happens at the beach. originally thought up for day 2 of the d20 alphabet challenge: "beach"

Summary
She huffs. “Fine. Let’s see, uh, I resent my girlfriend and love her at the same time. I’m terrified that there’s something wrong with me, that I’m a monster who’s gonna hurt everyone I care about. I think I’m going through some kind of trauma response after Spring Break that I don’t want to dig into, but it’s making my mood shitty. And, cherry on top, my god’s ashamed of me.”
It feels good to say it so bluntly. To someone who has no skin in this game, no feelings tied up in it one way or the other.
Aelwyn whistles. "Woof."
(or: Tracker, in between Spring Break and Fallinel.)
