Summary
The king, feeling the burn of his lover’s eyes, shifts so that he can face him. The candles have been blown out and the fire has slowly diminished over time and so all he can see is his silhouette, looking almost like an imagination, unreal.
But then Merlin hesitantly reaches out to caress his hair and suddenly he’s real, not just his imagination. He’s real and he’s here and he’s touching Arthur, out of everyone else he could touch. He shivers, reveling in the feeling of someone touching him, finally, after so many years.
Or:
Arthur and Merlin literally sleep in the same bed together for the first time.

Summary
The gifts helped, even more, when her lover was down. When Morgana vented to her about her nightmares or she overheard the angry outbursts she and Uther had, Gwen was always there to support her, through tiny little gifts. Sometimes, no, often, Morgana would grow worried that she was using too much money, wasting it all on her, but Gwen would always reply with how much she loved doing it, how happy it made her feel. How useful it made her feel, to know that she was able to help someone she loved dearly.
But then something awful happened.

Gwen loves giving Morgana gifts and Morgana loves receiving them. But then Gwen's father dies, and the roles suddenly reverse.
